No clothes news but I was browsing Nomads last night some lovely stuff .. , they have a couple of stockists here... ( I may fall into one later)

Ellapaella · 12/06/2019 09:22

@Laska2Meryls it's absolutely pouring down here and cold enough to put the heating on! My lovely doggy has gone in for her op to be spayed today - I felt so guilty leaving her at the vets this am 😢
I'm wearing leggings and a hoodie. Comfort clothes as it's cold and I have loads of rushing around to do this morning.
Will have a browse at that Nomads site.

ilovecherries · 12/06/2019 09:30

I couldn’t get on MN at all yesterday, assumed the site was down all day, but I see it was only me it hated! Will catch up properly later but great achievement on the run ella, and glad you are feeling stronger all the time. And fingers crossed for your dog today.

twosoups1972 · 12/06/2019 11:12

@laska I love the Aspiga sandals you linked to.

Ellapaella · 12/06/2019 12:15

Just picked up from Post office this absolutely beautiful top by Antik Batik that I found on eBay. I love it and can't wait for the sunshine to come back so I can bloody well wear it!

Ooooh Ella that is beautiful, I love stuff like that😍
I bought a few things, but haven’t had the energy to try on I’m off to Ibiza on Friday & cant get into gear at all, hopefully when I get my nails/toes painted later I will be feeling it a bit more.

Ellapaella · 12/06/2019 12:37

Are you ok Len? Thanks
Ibiza will be lovely.. so envious of those of you escaping this British summer misery!

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 12:40

Whoops. Dropped off the thread again... have loved catching up with the chat and photos (those I can see...seems there was a blip around Monday where I can't see any! Hmm Boooooo). And yes - I had the same trouble with the site being down/veeeeeery slow yesterday. Prob just as well, as I was much more productive without it!

Can't possibly comment on everything, but have to say soy - I am sooo jealous of your lovely photos in the sun and swimming in the beautiful sea! I assume you're back now - the weather is just the same as Spain, no Hmm Wink . We've missed the worst of the rain up here, but are definitely getting it today, and its so cold. And something's gone wrong with the air pressure I think and has given me a weird headache, which I never get...

Also cherries - I agree with everyone that you will look brilliant in a dress with trainers, and sod what "friends" say. Surely people dressing as "mothers of the bride" have no idea what a graduation actually is?! Have you got further with your choice? And such kind offers to loan/ sell the turquoise kensington! Star Star Star I was tempted by the lucy shirt on BA too, but they had sold out by the time i got my act together.

goodluck - as always, you look great in all your things - I adore the shape of the denim jacket on you, and the blazer and black & white blouse are lovely. You seem rather down on your shape for no reason! You look fab Envy .

fuzzy - how odd - I was thinking exactly the same about poetry! I think it's just the sale stuff, as I do remember really liking some of their trousers and dresses when the catalogue first came out, but they don't seem to have gone into the sale. Really not tempted at the moment - though I think they do tend to do further reductions later on.

ella - well done on your run - but hope your DDog is OK. Poor thing [doggy treat emoji] .

I definitely need to get back on the no spend bench with len and spag and granny! I think I have enough for the next 20 summers...

So my toast haul arrived (has yours come too laska ?) and it's a bit of a mixed bag. But the tent smock dress is actually rather nice and i am considering keeping that! It is a bit nightie-like even sized down to a 10 (and I am NOT a 10) but with a belt i think it is rather good, and beautiful cotton (that I think will hang better once washed - it's doing that sticky-out thing at the moment). Not a summery colour, but would also work with tights & boots, or with a roll neck or long sleeved t shirt under in autumn. There's also a drawstring dress which is longer, and also a really nice shape (sized down in that too...what are their sizes like!?) - and that would also work in autumn too. The necks of both are rather high but you can kind of fold down the corners of the placket ( Grin see - I have learnt some dressmaking terminology) to make a v neck which Is much better. I also tried as a wild card some paperbag culotte/ trousers? which are really swishy and huuuuge. I got the last one which happened to be a 12 which I thought would be fine - but I can basically take them off without undoing them! But they are meant to be tied at the waist, and doing that really tightly I think recovers them. I'm not entirely sure they are the most flattering garment ever (esp on the bum) but they are really unusual and such a lovely soft denim, i'm very tempted...

There was also a skirt which sits a bit low so is a difficult length so that is going back, and another denim dress which was OK but a bit short for me in summer. A couple of tops too which don't do anything really, and frankly, I don't need... Will put photos in the next post...

Ellapaella · 12/06/2019 12:42

Waiting with anticipation for your pics Not

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 12:43

Oooh - yes, that is lovely ella (wahey - can see photos again!) A lovely shape on you.
yy len - hope you are OK. I know what you mean...I think the pants weather can get us down. But it'll be so nice when you're sitting on a beach in the sunshine watching the sea... jealous..!

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 12:47

OK, here is the tent dress with a couple of belt options (forgive the shoes...just what I had on) and the crazy trousers...
I'm not sure why I take the photos with my phone rather than my tablet, cos then I could actually write posts more easily without having to switch between devices/ faff around on the cloud...

Ooh look forward to the pics Not
I’m ok Ella just struggling with fatigue a bit & have been going to the heartsmart classes at the gym, which is good but has made realise how the DCM affects me which has made me feel a bit down, I try not to think about it much but the classes & having to renew my travel insurance hasn’t helped, need to get a grip as very lucky to be going away.
I bought these from superdry very comfy & only £25.00

Not I love the dress! Looks fab with the belt. Trousers are great too.

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 12:52

And the drawstring dress, tent dress with no belt (not so good!) And skirt with an odd-necked top...both of those are going back).

Yy all looks really good on you Not

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 12:53

Yy dress looks much better with a belt, gives definition, the top & skirt not so keen on.

Ellapaella · 12/06/2019 12:54

Lovely shoes len
Sorry you are feeling a bit down. It doesn't seem fair when our bodies don't do what they're meant too. Its such a weird thing when you realise you never really know what's going on inside your own body. Hard to comprehend sometimes. I do understand Thanks I have many many patients with DCM and I know the problems it brings. Good for you for getting to the gym, you are such a busy bee with all your childcare, I hope you have a lovely relaxing holiday.

Ellapaella · 12/06/2019 12:55

Dress definitely better with belt not - the skirt just needs a different top. Maybe a cami top tucked in? Or a V neck tee?

NotAnActualSheep · 12/06/2019 13:05

Thanks both! yy - I agree with the top/skirt combo not working together at all! But tbh the skirt is similar to others I have, so I'm not really invested in trying to get it to work better!

Love those shoes len - they're a really pretty colour. And I agree - it's so good that you are going to the gym at all, even though your body isn't doing what you want it to. My DM has something similar and she gets so frustrated at having to rest while walking and so on, when she has been so active. Just take it easy, and have a lovely relaxing time on holiday. Flowers

twosoups1972 · 12/06/2019 13:45

Just seen this jacket on BA, thoughts? I still really want the Jigsaw one though

dontcallmelen · 12/06/2019 14:12

Thank you😘 yes will be fine once I’m enjoying some sun, will be lovely as going with my cousins & wives, so will be six of us.
soups I really like it pretty colour, I think never has it, which reminds me haven’t seen never for a few days, hope all is ok.

ilovecherries · 12/06/2019 14:33

len, can I ask where you get your travel insurance from? I need to renew ours this month, and I’m procrastinating because it always makes me feel totally crap and miserable. To date, we’ve used Insure and Go, as they were the only people I could find who did pre-existing conditions, and I try not to ask for a quote from anyone random as ‘declined’ Is the worst possible thing to have to admit to for getting further insurance. To be fair, Insure and Go did pay out about 5 years ago when we needed it, but the application process is so depressing. Anyway, hope you feel better and have a fab time Flowers

Ella Gorgeous shirt.

good luck, you look really wonderful in all your clothes.

nink, you were completely kind and helpful with your advice to me r graduation.

Boden linen shirts have arrived ( no Toast stuff yet though!). The Khaki stripe one is truly horrible and is going back. I am keeping the dusty pink though, . here it it , how I am n most likely to wear it, - with my Hush chino shorts , although I think it will also look nice with Keiras and also over the Janelle dress.( I like pink and khaki together).

Also the bargain £15 Fantasie bikini top arrived , its a lovely colour
