cherries I’ve been worrying that I didn’t come across as reassuring as I meant to about outfit for graduation (I’m often quite clumsy with words) - I had been worried beforehand that I should have gone with MOTB-esque dress/heels etc, and that my jeans and jacket outfit would be far too casual compared to everyone else, but it really wasn’t. Yes some people were more dressy but most people were more casual than me. No one looked out of place at all, they all just looked proud and happy. ❤️

I'll join you on the no spend bench Len as I have realised I can't possibly wear all the clothes I want and just liking something is not enough reason to buy it. I will vicariously spend through this thread but my card is staying locked away

Thanks Nink & Granny I have been going through my wardrobe/drawers as going away on Friday & made me realise yet again that I really do have lots of clothes & some of them still unworn from last summer, I got a bit carried away the last few weeks as I was on the bench for four months! The only only thing I actually need is some espadrilles, which I’m probably better off getting in Spain as smaller sizes are easier to get, yy shopping vicariously.

Oh Nink I thought your post on the Grad dressing was very reassuring & really useful, ikwym though sometimes its seems difficult though get across what you want to say/tone in posts without writing an essay😘

I've just got the Poetry sale info and was really excited as I usually love a bit of Poetry.

But guess what? I am underwhelmed. I wish they did something other than sludge in colours and use a different model from the six foot tall skinny mixed race woman. She is so far from what I look like I have lost my ability to imagine what I might look like.

Just when I thought I might spend some money....(but I will have a second look!)

soups it has. But it was far too big and billowy; it’s already gone back (did I forget to come back and update? I guess I did! )

Such a shame as I loved the style and the embroidery, and the colours were just right.

I’ve had a few new things - everything always looks terrible though. I think I’m not very tall and a funny shape. I’m keeping the denim jacket and slogan t shirt. I think I’m keeping the white blouse, but I’m not sure. I also have the blazer. It’s big, but is it meant to be big?

Fuzzy that’s a shame, I like poetry as well but only in the sale as prices are a bit gulp inducing Yy most models I long for the day they show a very short old person😂 think sometimes we just need to get out & physically look around the shops.
Good I think it all looks good, I have just bought a very similar denim jacket, going to be really useful I think Yy the blazer definitely oversized.

Miserable day again.... one if my surprise wins from hush this year has been the basket stitch jacket/cardi. Those days where you need something but not necessarily a coat? I've worn it loads for work as sometimes the air con is set to Antarctica level so I can wear it at my desk.
Looks good with last years side striped Bryce culottes.

Just feeling a tiny bit proud of myself.. I've just run my first 5k since I had my heart op in February.. I've been trying to build back up slowly and it's been tough so I feel I've accomplished something today 💪😊

My pics of the skirt from yesterday seem to have disappeared into the mumsnet black hole of yesterday (problems with the site apparently). I've decided to put the skirt on eBay. It's not really me.

Well today I am wearing ( for only about the second time as it was so hot last summer) the black floral trousers that we all bought in thelast year summer sale but with black wide top as it's not too warm here ..
