I used my £5 voucher from marks to get a lovely trench coat in a gorgeous petal pink for £21 [It was £27 originally] Tbh, its really thin but lined but it is a gorgeous colour and perfect for a cover up on a showery day [ Im sure its not that waterproof] but it is lovely. I will post a picture.

ilovecherries · 08/06/2019 15:11

It’s lovely, ella, and very hush-ike. As you know, I think everything works with a white trainer in summer.

cherries How did you get on with your dresses? Love to see the starry Kensington. Did you get that one?

Ellapaella · 08/06/2019 15:17

Really lovely @neveradullmoment99 what a find! Dress is from Matalan

grannycake · 08/06/2019 16:15

Lovely dress ella. Are the leopard print sandals from Asda. If so they're the same ones that I bought in white last week. A real bargain. I often find nice stuff in Matalan but haven't been for a while

whiskyremorse · 08/06/2019 16:30

@Ella love the red dress and I think it will look great with trainers.
I've tried on my JL sale dresses today and picked one up in Sainsburys next door. The winners

@grannycake sandals are from Deichmann
@whiskyremorse ooh love the dresses - the blue is especially lovely 💕

Ellapaella · 08/06/2019 16:32

Sorry @whiskyremorse just saw your last two pics - they are both lovely too! Where are they from?

Ellapaella · 08/06/2019 16:33

Why don't you like the second too? I think they look fab!

whiskyremorse · 08/06/2019 16:42

@Ella they are wrong in the boob department. The wrap dress is lovely but feels too low, needs a bigger boob to fill it I think. And the shirt dress pulls at the bust which is a shame as I really like it otherwise, I think the button placement is out for my boob placement lol the struggle is real

whiskyremorse · 08/06/2019 16:57

They are all for JL apart from the blue shirt dress in first set which is sainsburys, great for work and even has a lined skirt.

dontcallmelen · 08/06/2019 17:03

never really love the Mac, great colour & suits you really well.
Ditto Ella fab finds.
whiskey love a bit of Sainsbury’s, can sometimes find some real gems, look great in all the pics but if something doesn’t feel/fit right then best to send back.
Just that must have been a shock for you💐

Ellapaella · 08/06/2019 17:49

Sainsbury's has amazing stuff at the moment. So many lovely dresses.

Ellapaella · 08/06/2019 17:50

@grannycake sorry the leopard print sandals are from TopShop - I misread your post

GinandGingerBeer · 08/06/2019 17:59

Well it feels like winter again here and we've had the heating on!
Love your dresses @whiskyremorse especially like the black and brown print one 👌
That dress will look great with white trainers @ella, it's lovely.
Great bargain mac never, do they have a sale on atm?
Sorry to hear about you uncle @just. My mum has dementia, it's such a bloody horrible disease. Hope he's recovering and not testing your nerves too much with his tetchiness Thanks
I've made a few purchases, a skirt and a top from H&M which I've not tried on yet and some black dune loafers. I've had my eye on these for ages and they've been to reduced to £35. Jury is out atm as I want them for work but not sure if they're going to be uncomfortable.
Wearing my hush turquoise palm print sweatshirt today, With Hush turn up cropped jeans, one good thing about it being so cold I guess.

I'll take a pic of clothes when I go upstairs, easier than trying to find things on The H&M website!

whiskyremorse · 08/06/2019 18:12

@gin you sound very cool and totally hushing it! The tiger patterned dress is blue and rust, I would have never usually chosen it but ordering a load of sale stuff for collection in store makes me brave. It is from Warehouse

ilovecherries · 08/06/2019 18:17

Haven’t tried them yet, never. We are just on the way back from Leeds. I phoned Stories there to see if by any chance they had my dress, as I’d really set my heart on it. They had one left, in a 10, which I really knew would be too small, but DH encouraged me to go and try just in case. It was close, but just a tad too tight.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2019 18:21

That's a shame but you did the right thing going to try it on otherwise it would have constantly bugged you. I think the star Kensington is lovely and it will suit you. I also think your striped marina would be gorgeous too.

miffy2 · 08/06/2019 18:29

Hello everyone. I finally feel normal again. It took almost a week of antibiotics and painkilers though. I am sleeping OK and all the pain is gone in my face bar a residual pain right above my upper back tooth. I am praying it is not infected but I am sure there is a root canal done there anyway.

You are all looking fab. That mac is gorgeous never and will be perfect for summer showers.
Ella I love the dress - trainers definitely! I have been wearing my M&S Holly Loves trainers all week with long skirts and tops.
whisky I love all those dresses but I get you on the boobage. So many dresses have been returned by me due to boobs not fitting properly. Probably why I stick to separates so often.

On topic, I returned the grey H&M dress as I felt it would need to be altered in the shoulders - the top part was gappy and ill-fitting. I would love a skirt version of it. I am keeping the palm print shirt dress as I reckon it will be easier to wear.

I bought these lovely cream culottes - remarkably comfortable and will be nice for summer evenings. Now I need to see what I can wear with them!

H&M culottes

Oh and I tried on the jersey joggers from M&S - quite pyjama-like but really soft and comfy. I returned the green and kept the (off-)black pair. I have no idea why the stock is so low; as far as I know it is a new item but I was lucky enough to nab both colours in 12.

M&S joggers

And these! I bought in the two colour ways. I have not taken the white ones off since I got them. So comfy and as they are wide fit I have room for my orthotics. I have received compliments from people asking are they golden goose (or whatever that massively expensive brand is)!

Holly trainers

whiskyremorse · 08/06/2019 19:24

Is anyone else watching Riviera? So stunning to look at, great plot and I have a total style crunch on Julia Stiles. She can rock a shirt dress but it helps being a dancer and probably about a foot taller than me 🤔

whiskyremorse · 08/06/2019 19:35

@Miffy, love the trainers, shame they're out of stock in my size

ilovecherries · 08/06/2019 20:25

Cool trainers, miffy, glad you are feeling better.

Lovely coat never, nice shape and gorgeous colour.

whisky, those dresses are great on you, but I know what you mean about boob distortion.

And ella, the more I look at that dress, the more I like it. Suits you very well - could you even go down a size?

Home from Leeds, and the central heating had come on automatically, and it’s turned down to 10C so it isn’t normally triggered. While we were in Leeds I tried on the Hobbs dress laska suggested. I have it coming in a 12, but it will be going straight back as I had to go to a 14 to get it to fit round the waist. But in any case, it did nothing for me. Waist wasn’t in the right place, and I looked really matronly in it, and it made me feel like I was going to an interview. So that will only be unwrapped to retrieve the returns label. The Hush Lilium - again, felt a bit matronly and blah in it (which suggests issue might be me rather than the dress!) I will try it properly on Monday with hair and makeup. Kensington is fine, will keep for a week as my back up plan in case nothing else works. I’m not inspired by it, but it’s fine, what I’d prefer is the turquoise or silver from last year really. Again will get a photo on Monday. Boden ones are very creased so they are hanging up before I try them.

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 08/06/2019 20:37

Looking forward to seeing the Boden ones cherries. Re my dress below - the problem I have with dresses (always) is because I'm quite flat chested and have quite a bony decelotage (sorry can't spell it) and narrow shoulders I need a 10 really over that area bit 10 is often too tight or clingy around my tummy and hips. So this is a 12 which although perhaps generous around my shoulders etc is perfect at skimming over my tummy. The 10 would be too tight there and show too many lumps and bumps.

@miffy2 lovely trainers.
