White dresses, very formal, very safe, and of course sets your awards and honours off a treat.

Ivanka's dress is lovely but not grand enough. Melania looks very elegant.

Camilla's nailed it, I'm not usually inclined to say anything nice about her because of the OW thing but credit where credit's due, she does look very good.

Having had a loot at Melania’s beautiful white outfit from earlier, I wonder if she was just caught out by the dreaded post-flight bloat.

The other thing I noticed about the poor woman is that she always looks ill at ease.

I can never decide what to wear until the last minute, so I have some sympathy if you're committed to an expensive outfit and it just doesn't fit right on the day.

Yes it looks like the side bits have been brought closer to the middle in Sophie's tiara. Looks much better.

I'm pretty sure Camillas dress is a repeat! She really knows her flattering cuts.

I don't really mind Kates dress cos I'm giving her points for trying to do something different with the "shite white dress". I mean, I wouldn't wear it but she likes a flounce, does Kate.

I imagine the choices of dress must be made more difficult by the star as well - you’d need a dress that won’t be pulled down by the weight so that must limit styles and materials

At the last state dinner Rose was sat on the left near the top next to Harry, around where William is sat this time. I wonder if they’d change the seating protocol so she wasn’t next to him or if it would be a case of protocol is protocol?

So much white. Melania, Ivanka (who I think looks lovely although haven't seen a full length pic yet) and Camilla were all in white earlier.

Sophie's tiara looks so much better with the elements closer together.

Cams really suits that tiara. Maybe that's why she wears it all the time. Who knows.

Loving those rubies on HM! Blingtastic! Melania just looks too booby in those high necks - also don't like the gloves! I like Kate's dress too. Just saw camilla on the news winking at the photographers as she left the room with trump etc - cheeky!

I think she looks really underdressed in that dress and her pearls when day next to Sophie all diamonded up with a more obvious gown on.

Ivanka looks like she's at a golf tea in a country club sat at the table.

In other sartorial news, Donald really needs to go up a collar size.

I love love love the queens tiara. Because really, it's a crown. It's like she's saying, "yup, I am a queen, and I used to rule you people". There is just nothing subtle about it at all!

Kate looks okay. But why does she never break out any of her more glamorous outfits for these occasions? Like for the Bafta s etc? Is it the practicality of needing to wear sashes and orders etc?

I think Ivanka’s dress maybe one of those that looks better in reality. It’s a gorgeous colour.
