Sussex Royal is supporting Gay Pride this month

Paradyning · 01/06/2019 14:47

Charlotte today. Looks like Chanel maybe?

Charles is definitely a diva. As is William.

At the so called fab 4 interview Meghan was the only one who didn't look uncomfortable. William looked quietly angry, Kate looked deeply uncomfortable and nervous and Harry looked on edge.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 15:12

I don't think a feud existed between Meghan and Priyanka outside of the Sun!

Is that Charlotte's wedding dress? Not keen on the bows. Her new MiL is a former model and Bond girl, Carole Bouquet.

Meghan and Kate are both troopers, their husbands are both divas.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/06/2019 15:16

Charlotte probably had a Civil ceremony first.
Church ceremony would possibly be later today or tomorrow?

IHeartArya · 01/06/2019 15:21

I agree with Kedgeree

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/06/2019 15:28

In the absence of many wedding photos here is some Charlotte Casiraghi fashion

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/06/2019 15:34

Letizia looking good in red. Love her shoes

Meghan and Kate are both troopers, their husbands are both divas.

I agree with that! In fact I think most of the working royals are divas with the exception of the queen.

All of her children and William and Harry come across as divas at times some more than others Charles and Andrew

I think those that have married in Sophie, Kate and Meghan are troopers. Beatrice and Eugenie seem happy to quietly work away so they can go in the trooper camp. Anne's kids aren't divas but they don't do enough publicly to know if they count as troopers.

Camillia I'm on the fence about she wants to be seen as trooper but I can't help feeling that's not her natural state.

It will be interesting to see with the next generation how it goes is having that level of privilege always going to make divas or will some different influences going to raise a different type of royal.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 15:50

Good point re Charlotte's wedding @CurlyWurlyTwirly. Pierre and Beatrice and Albert and Charlene all had two ceremonies.

Letizia looks fab in red. I thought that was George Osborne next to her!

Agree re Camilla @itswinetime - I get the feeling she'd have been happy to remain as mistress in the background and not take on royal duties but maybe she felt she had to marry Charles. Apparently her friends used to jokingly called her the laziest woman in England!

I wonder if perhaps Camilla is also careful not to push herself on the public too much. The public sentiment towards her was dreadful for years. Not to mention that she & Charles aren't getting any younger, so there's a possibility of health concerns.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 16:20

I get the feeling she isn't in the best of health and trips abroad are quite tiring for her.

MotherofPearl · 01/06/2019 16:31

I love Leti's shoes too, and that red dress.

itswinetime · 01/06/2019 16:46

I think that Queen hit the nail on the head for me with Camillia she isn't a trooper or a diva she's reluctant. I'm not sure if there is a reason or just her personality but I wonder how it will work once she is queen as we are used to seeing the DoE in the role she will have, who was very active until recently. I think it could be a bumpy transition for her.

SenecaFalls · 01/06/2019 17:05

I think Camilla is a trooper if you take into account as the baseline what she'd likely rather be doing. I draw from my own experience of the days when I had to socialize with DH's business prospects. I did it, and I think I mostly behaved myself, and sometimes I even enjoyed it, but most of the time I had much rather have been in my nightshirt curled up with my dog reading a book or watching old movies on television.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 17:32

Despite the talk about Princess Consort, I'm pretty sure Camilla will be made Queen. Her predecessors were very active but they were a lot younger than her when they became Consort. At her age most of us would be looking to slow down but if anything, she'll have to take on more once Charles is king. Charles won't have cousins to take on duties like HM did either, so the Cambridges and Sussexes will have to do more too.

Whoever did the Charles and Camilla pr was a genius. However camilla’s Rehabilitation would not have been as effective if Diana had lived. In the Royal wedding photos of William and Harry and all the christening photos, Diana would have been in Camilla’s Place.
To be honest; both men would have married different women. Less motherly and probably more in the blonde, Sloane mold.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/06/2019 17:51

You never see the Queen smiling as much as when she is around a horse!

Lovely picture of Princess Alexandra at Epsom. That brooch looks Art Deco; maybe it’s her mother’s, Prince Marina’s

Yes Curly, neither of Diana's sons went for any similarity to their Mum, looks wise, did they?

frugalkitty · 01/06/2019 18:22

Charlotte's wedding dress is a miss from me....those bows! What was she thinking? I don't think the colour does anything much for her either, maybe if there's a religious ceremony tomorrow she'll up her game.

Paradyning · 01/06/2019 18:28

Marginally better here. It will be the civil dress
