Prince Jigme is so cute! Though with parents as good-looking as his he wasn't really going to be anything else! And such stunning scenery too.

Bhutan looks like heaven on Earth and Jigme looks like an angel 👼.

QueenOfTheAndals · 31/05/2019 20:57

Prince Jigme's insanely good-looking parents. The photo could be from the cover of a romance novel.

Oh my goodness, that little face. He looks like a boy who'd have a good cheeky smile too Grin

Daisypie · 31/05/2019 23:08

Jigme is quite beautiful.
Back to the possible Foundation split. I think the problem is yet again bad PR and preparation of the narrative. Remember when Meghan appeared and all the talk was of the Fab Four? They did that event together which imo is when the cracks in style appeared. The talk was all about how aligned and powerful they would be as a group. Now they are dividing their worlds and the obvious conclusion is that it was not so fab for the 4.
When Meghan came on the scene that would have been the time to talk about how she and Harry could go ina slightly different direction.

Paradyning · 01/06/2019 04:20

Wedding alert!!
Charlotte Casiraghi is getting married this weekend apparently!
Wonder if she's do Gucci

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 07:56

@Paradyning I thought she's a Chanel devotee? Or maybe that's her mother. I think she'll go for something a bit avant-garde as that seems to be her default style.

Re the Foundation split, the Palace have refused to comment and the Foundation itself says there's nothing to report yet, but there's a board meeting this month so if there's anything to the story then I expect it'll come out then.

The story says the split is at the instigation of the Cambridges, though I'm not sure what's so different about the causes the Sussexes feel passionate about - HIV, wounded servicemen and education for girls are hardly controversial topics. Certainly no more so than the mental health work William and Kate do.

But I'm not sure the "Fab Four" ever really existed except in the eyes of the media so maybe a split was inevitable.

Anyway, let try and fill this thread up over the weekend so I can start a new one on Monday. Bound to be lots of discussion fodder with the Trumpian visit!

The dynamic has clearly changed since Meghan came on the scene. Harry’s other girlfriends were part of their set. It was always going to change the dynamics if Harry married out of the set. I can remember Kate’s eyeroll at that interview at something Meghan said!

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 08:17

I heard about that but watched the entire interview and saw no eye roll. I don't think Kate would be as rude as that, certainly not in public anyway. If she was then it reflects poorly on her, not Meghan.

OP posts:
Spudlet · 01/06/2019 08:22

Well, apparently Trump has called Meghan 'nasty' because reportedly, in 2016, she talked about moving to Canada if he won. To be fair, she went one better and actually left the whole continent!

If the rancid orange called me nasty, I think I'd print the quote and frame it for the downstairs loo.

beanaseireann · 01/06/2019 08:31

The Fab Four probably don't get along.
If William advised Harry not to rush things and that his beloved was unsuitable and Harry then told her of his sibling's advice, it would be very, very hard to work together.... all that simmering tension.

BertrandRussell · 01/06/2019 08:35

“ I can remember Kate’s eyeroll at that interview at something Meghan said!”
Blimey- how incredibly rude! I suspect you might have imagined that!

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 08:37

To be honest, if my sibling told me my intended was "unsuitable" I'd be miffed at him too! Though we don't know how true that story is of course. I can believe him saying don't rush into things but "unsuitable"? Perhaps not.

IHeartArya · 01/06/2019 08:38

I don’t think I’ve imagined it as I wasn’t the only person who commented at the time but yes it was very rude of Kate. However I’ve watched interview again & can’t see it so maybe in my head. Also in the interview they all seem to get along so something was off afterwards not before.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 08:45

I do wonder how much of it is perception? If you (a general 'you', not you in particula @IHeartArya!) watch the interview with no preconceptions then you think it's all fine. But if you've heard there's a conflict then you look for evidence to support that theory and might read a lot into the slightest glance or movement (see Williams scarf fiddling at Xmas).

IHeartArya · 01/06/2019 08:48

Very true Queen

I remember looking at it & thinking how rude of Kate. I’ll have to look again when I have more time. It’s going to bug me. Fingers crossed I did imagine it. Poor form otherwise- on Kate’s part.

Paradyning · 01/06/2019 08:54

Charlotte had a contract with Gucci and was their 'muse'. Not sure if that's finished now though.

beanaseireann · 01/06/2019 09:01

The scarf fiddling.
Never, in the history of mankind, has one man had so much trouble with a woollen scarf. Grin
I think I read that on Mumsnet.

RhubarbIsEvil · 01/06/2019 09:09

To be fair to iheaerAriya - I watched a channel 5 documentary on “Kate and William The Early Years* and Carol and Kate were spectacularly rude during William”s Passing Out Parade at Sandhurst.

Carol looked down, behind Kate and whispered to Kate. Kate looked down, behind her, looked at her mum, pulled a face and they both giggled. It looked as if they were laughing at someone’s shoes in the row behind them.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 10:08

If it's all true then I don't know how Meghan got cast as the villain of the piece. If she posted on MN saying that BiL told DH she was 'unsuitable' and ignored her when she tried to strike up a conversation, and SiL rolled her eyes when she spoke then she would be told YANBU!

BertrandRussell · 01/06/2019 10:46

“If it's all true then I don't know how Meghan got cast as the villain of the piece.“

Because she always is?

StCharlotte · 01/06/2019 10:46

So William thought Harry was "rushing in"? But keeping your girlfriend hanging on for years and years - and being ritually mocked in the unkind media spotlight - is okay? Hmm

Horses for courses Will, horses for courses...
