Here is my thread filler. I couldn't sleep last night and found myself dividing the BRF into Divas (it's all about me) and Troopers (just get on with it) in each Generation.
Troopers
George vi
HMQ
Kate
Camilla
Charles on a good day
Anne
Edward and Sophie
Kents and Gloucesters

Divas
Andrew and Fergie
Princess Margaret
Princess Michael
William
Diana
Duke of Windsor

Still thinking about Harry, Meghan and the York's - they could go either way.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 12:12

I think Charles definitely has diva tendencies! Harry too. But going by Meghan's conduct when she's been undertaking public engagements and how she started taking on royal duties from the day after she got engaged, I'm inclined to put her in the trooper category. For now!

I'm not sure we see enough of the Yorks for them to be either.

More thread filler: given Kate's interest in young people's mental health and Meghan's in education for girls, wouldn't it be great to see them collaborate on a project that encompasses both? I'm so sick of the media narrative that insists two women in the public eye must be at loggerheads and that would be a way of sticking it to the press!

Eugenie-trooper.
Andrew -diva
Charles-definitely diva

PinkSun9 · 01/06/2019 12:20

I remember watching the fab 4 interview and thinking that PW looked angry at times and Kate was aware of that. She was nervous.
PW does come across as sullen at times and his smiles never seem genuine. Maybe gross assumption on my part but there is something cold n frightening about him.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 12:24

I know what you mean @PinkSun9 and whenever I see them interviewed together he does the majority of the talking and she looks at him before she speaks. When she's by herself she seems more confident.

Being called Nasty by Trump is actually not a bad thing, as he is intimidated by strong women.

I’m just shocked she was texting Max George Shock isn’t that the equivalent of hitting rock bottom?

The Cambridges and the Sussexs both have different views on everything . It’s best to party ways.

BertrandRussell · 01/06/2019 12:25

They actually said in that interview how difficult it was working with family- they made jokes about it

I don’t understand how W and H could possibly have for past the way their father treated their mother. I would be amazed if they had. W must have known quite a lot of what was going on at the time. Impossible to forgive I would have thought.

BertrandRussell · 01/06/2019 12:26

*got past.

RhubarbIsEvil · 01/06/2019 12:27

I was going to say something interesting but forgot what it was.

Inniu · 01/06/2019 12:28

@pinksun9
I think PW looks genuinely happy at football matches sometimes.

SlipperOrchid · 01/06/2019 12:30

I agree that William appears to reduce Kate’s confidence. I’d hazard a guess he is critical in a ‘it’s just a joke’ type of way but of course the person being made fun of will take it to heart. I certainly would. I remember Kate saying that William told her when she was once wearing a yellow dress that she looked like a big banana. That’s the type of thing a brother would say to a sister but it is the last thing a woman wants to hear before she is due to make a big public appearance when what she looks like is the thing most talked about.

Daisypie · 01/06/2019 12:33

I remember watching the fab 4 interview and thinking that W and K looked a bit nonplussed at Meghan's articulateness and confidence.

noseoftralee · 01/06/2019 12:43

Royal- ish,
Vogue Williams, SIL of Pippa going full Anne Boleyn this weather

I can't see William becoming like King Wax who's more than happy for Max to be the star of the show. He's probably like his dad that way - didn't Diana say Charles didn't like that she got more attention than him?

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 13:02

Apparently Vogue Williams has a degree in building and construction and is a qualified quantity surveyor. Not sure why I find that surprising but I do a bit! What does her husband do? Was he on Made in Chelsea or one of those shows?

OP posts:
SenecaFalls · 01/06/2019 13:05

I really like Wax. Besides the way he obviously adores Max, he just seems like such a warm, down to earth fellow.

noseoftralee · 01/06/2019 13:12

Vogue is indeed a qualified QS. She could have had a career on Grand Designs instead of reality telly

yellowalstroemeria · 01/06/2019 13:20

Vogue also went out/ was married to yer man from Westlife, didn't she?

The Bhutanese(? is that correct?) royal family are stunning.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/06/2019 13:23

Either him or Ronan Keating.

Nogravyforyou · 01/06/2019 13:26

It was Brian McFadden, which leads me to the question; how many steps removed between the Queen and Kerry Katona 😂🙈

ElspethFlashman · 01/06/2019 13:34

I used to follow Vogue on IG. She's as sharp as a tack, that one. Very quick.

She seems to get on well with Pippa but she has a lot of that type of Irish social ease where you can sail through most conversations. I never got the impression Pippa and her husband were scintillating company, but I could be misjudging them cruelly there. They just look incredibly dull!

roisinagusniamh · 01/06/2019 14:26

Interesting what you say about Vogue being Irish and finding conversations easy. I agree it's something Irish people from stable, relatively middle class backgrounds have . Also, we tend not to be cowed by others' status or wealth. It's an inner confidence thing. And as Ireland is a republic we are not expected to have any allegiance to the Royal family.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/06/2019 14:32

Some odd story about Priyanka Chopra visiting Meghan then denying it

I had no idea there was a “feud” between them.
However Priyanka has now said she was in town for work but didn’t visit Meghan.
Probably not such close buddies any more...

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/06/2019 14:35

HM at Epsom today.
Just noticed she wore the same outfit to greet trump last year
