Melania decided to marry Trump.
Her choice.
As Queen says " ....she's made her bed..."

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/05/2019 08:52

Yes @beanaseireann there have been rumours about him for years, he sounds a bit like old King J-C of Spain. Call girls or exotic dancers, I think?

DM link to King Carl-Gustaf's love life. You wouldn't think it to look at him, he looks like a mild-mannered bank manager!

There is never any shortage of beautiful women prepared to sleep with repulsive but rich older men, is there?

megletthesecond · 25/05/2019 09:18

frugal Iceland sell frozen avocado. It doesn't taste that ripe but it's fine for sandwiches.

banivani · 25/05/2019 10:02

noseoftralee jaysus that second Irish times link with the young fella almost fainting when he meets Prince Charles - the red countess will be rolling in her grave 😂 Also I’m delighted for you to be able to link to your local paper!😁

KCG has indeed a unsavoury past. When the newspapers decided to stop with the gentleman’s agreement and write about it it really blew up. La Camilla, formerly of Army of Lovers, came out openly to say they had an affair. Myself I don’t care so much about an affair per se but it was a nasty way of life he and his friends had - they had parties and made sure there were “coffee girls” ie pretty girls romance coffee at the end and be fondled. Distasteful.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/05/2019 10:14

Agree @banivani, there's a world of difference between Charles having an affair with Camilla and sordid antics like that.

I’ve never been to Avoca but have been to Daylesford
Food wise they look very similar
There’s a Bamford shop next to the main Daylesford shop in Kingham (Cotswolds) and also a spa there and cottages to hire

shedid · 25/05/2019 11:34

Finally I can join the 'I had a royal dream' club.

In an abandoned Disney castle, I was working as an assistant make up artist for DoS but ended up complaining about all the rules...we ended up moving to a different palace (one that wasn't run down and manky) so she could get ready for a big public event in style... DoC arrived and the men in grey sacked me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

queenofarles · 25/05/2019 11:37

Are they all coming with trump? Shock whenever he brings Ivanka and kushner something really bad happens after,

Melania said at the beginning of the elections that she would love to work on ending cyber bullying , and has launched an initiative. Don’t know if she is active about her cause.

Poor Melania really tries hard to be like Michelle Obama , even stealing her speeches!
But I think she lacks motivation, presence.
Always looks very uninterested.

But I really think melania wears some really beautiful clothes.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/05/2019 11:42

Try as I might I can't divorce myself enough from my feelings about Melania and her husband to appreciate her clothes! The "I don't care" mac and pith helmet weren't high points!

His two eldest sons and both daughters are apparently coming with him to London. Not sure why his son with Melania wasn't mentioned, perhaps he is at boarding school.

Will there definitely be a state banquet?
Do you think he will have learnt how to walk properly or will HM have to remind him again? 😂

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/05/2019 11:52

Yes, the itinerary says the state banquet is on Monday and both HM and Trump will give a speech. That will be epically cringeworthy, I'm sure.

OP posts:
shedid · 25/05/2019 12:04

That is going to be awful... but will give SNL plenty of material.

queenofarles · 25/05/2019 12:20

For her tour of the pyramids she dressed like a 1920s archeologist. Grin

Daisypie · 25/05/2019 12:22

I can't look past her choices to take in her clothes either.
I would seat Trump next to Princess Anne.

Becles · 25/05/2019 12:23

@shedid Nevermind. Think about the hefty redundancy package they'd owe you if only to stop you briefing the daily mail Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/05/2019 12:31

For her tour of the pyramids she dressed like a 1920s archeologist.

And looked utterly ridiculous!

OP posts:
shedid · 25/05/2019 12:51

@Becles that's true 😁 I wouldn't go near the DM with a barge pole tbh

Paradyning · 25/05/2019 13:18

Melania is channeling Kate for literal dressing. Except without an iota of social awareness.

There are rumours on T'internet that what Melania does is basically reside in NYC in a lovely relationship with her PT.

There's also talk that her son is on the autistic spectrum of some sort so I can imagine her reticence at wishing him paraded on the world stage.

It would also explain Trump's idiotic vaccination stance. Although that might just be because he is, in fact, an idiot.

queenofarles · 25/05/2019 13:41

There are rumours on T'internet that what Melania does is basically reside in NYC in a lovely relationship with her PT. well there is a silver lining in that relationship after all.

Annasgirl · 25/05/2019 13:43

Oh thats such a funny post @CurlyWurlyTwirly. I saw if before reading the rest of the thread and I didn't realise they were in Ireland so I thought God that looks like one of those "olde Ireland" postcards from the 1960's . I can tease as I am Irish and live here. We all rolled our eyes at those postcards growing up.

But I agree with the poster on the Avoca envy - lucky Camilla. Herself and Charles really seem to enjoy themselves in Ireland, they really fit in with all those eco types and wild-garden aristos in Wicklow and West Cork.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/05/2019 15:48

Princess Margaret would have been the ideal person to sit Trump next to. He wouldn't have known what had hit him. Margaret could have demolished him with a raised eyebrow or accidentally on purpose but 'accidentally darling' push him out of the window.
Maybe someone could set the fire alarm off instead & give HM & everyone else some Trump free time especially if he were to wander off & come across the cellars

beachyhead · 25/05/2019 16:25

Trumps steel wall around Southsea Common is already up Smile Can't say I'm going to go and cheer him in!

Gooseysgirl · 25/05/2019 16:29

Check out what I just found in our garage... was looking for some of my old Enid Blyton books for my DC and found my ladybird Royal Wedding books 🥰
