Yes Eugenie is hardly skipping shifts down at the local chippy...

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/05/2019 19:54

I am very disappointed in Edward. Even more disappointed that Sophie didn't throw all the double-breasted monstrosities on the bonfire when she had the chance.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/05/2019 19:58

Love Sophie's dress.

Edward is really the last member of the family I'd match with the DofE awards.

UrsulaPandress · 22/05/2019 20:07

Eugenie presented DD’s DofE Award this time last year. It was meant to be Beatrice but Eugenie stepped in at the last minute.

Horsemad · 22/05/2019 20:14

Wonder if any of the Royals have done the DoE Award themselves?

keiratwiceknightly · 22/05/2019 20:17

Watching Queen Victoria's Children on bbc4 now. Quite interesting.

ElspethFlashman · 22/05/2019 20:18

Christ Eddie, burn that suit. It's a navy box. As my mother used to say to a very shy 17 year old me: "you've a grand figure, show it off for God's sake!"

We had a housekeeper. 9am to 3pm. Didn't do life admin, and didn't do The Big Shop, but did everything else. Until I hit 14 and quite rightly had to do my own laundry. I absolutely hated having a housekeeper. Zero privacy. Zero. Don't even have a cleaner now, though with 4 bathrooms that Im definitely not keeping on top of, I really should.

There is absolutely no way there's no staff in FC. But I imagine they don't need a cook yet, not with only 2 of them. I doubt they're oblivious to the appeal of an oven pizza.

drowningincustard · 22/05/2019 20:21

Can any of the fashionista's identify where Eugenie's dress is from - I like it lots and would like to take more of a look (and see if I can copy that neckline on one of my dresses!!!)

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/05/2019 20:24

I have a photo of Edward 10 years ago and he’s wearing a single breasted suit.

itswinetime · 22/05/2019 20:25

According to hello Eugenie is wearing Peter Pilotto

QueenOfTheAndals · 22/05/2019 20:26

Oh Edward! Who knew?

I remember Edward when he looked like that Queen. It's a bit of a shock to see how he's aged, particularly as he's younger than me!

SunshineCake · 22/05/2019 20:43

The Duchess of Cambridge has taken part in the D of E.

Papergirl1968 · 22/05/2019 20:44

These coat dresses puzzle me. Do you wear a dress underneath them, like a sleeveless shirt type dress? Surely not just your undies?

Papergirl1968 · 22/05/2019 20:44

Shift not shirt...

AudacityOfHope · 22/05/2019 20:45

Still laughing at 'Christ Eddie' GrinGrin

escapade1234 · 22/05/2019 20:55

I also wonder about the coat dresses. I think she has slip on under there but not a dress. She can’t take it off if she feels warm.

MotherofPearl · 22/05/2019 21:07

Thanks for posting that Hadley Freeman article @QueenOfTheAndals - really enjoyed that!

I can't keep up with the thread at the moment - it's moving too fast! - so apologies if someone has already posted it, but I absolutely love CPM's bright red dress from the current Korea trip.

We had a nanny/housekeeper growing up and I have the same now. Live out.

We do have staff accommodation, not nearly as grand as it sounds, but great for teenagers to have sleepovers in. We used it for such pairs when the children were small.

MotherofPearl · 22/05/2019 21:26

Also amused to be reminded of our old pal whose loo was used by PH! Grin

Stravapalava · 22/05/2019 21:42

I love love love Eugenie's dress. Definite hit for me. The only thing about Eugenie that bugs me is that her hair always looks like it's in the middle of growing out a short cut. There seems to be no shape or style to it.

Sophie looks great too.

I think the previous poster flounced off when stealth boasting was called out and people questioned the posts.

MotherofPearl · 22/05/2019 21:45

Was it @CurlyWurlyTwirly who gave her a dressing down, so to speak? Well-deserved anyway.

Gooseysgirl · 22/05/2019 22:09

That's a rewear from CPM in Korea... she wore the same dress to Ascot a few years ago

Wetdogloveshubert · 22/05/2019 22:10

Goodness, Eugenie's designer dresses look very Killing Eve! Funny though, strava, it's her hairstyle I'd love to be able to emulate but mine's far too thick and wild.

GrumbleBumble · 22/05/2019 22:19

On a tiny screen Eugenie looked like she was wearing an enormous lilac hat in the little preview picture and I couldn't understand why no-one was mentioning it. I was quite disappointed to enlarge the picture and discover it's a banner behind her.
