Any guesses on what Meghan will wear to introduce baby Sussex? I'm guessing Givenchy as it's her go-to designer for big events.

Yet another look that only Max could pull off - a full-on bright yellow trouser suit! It shouldn't work, but it does.

It's interesting, Kate has the colouring and figure to pull that off too but this thread would destroy her if she dared to try. Just saying

CPM in pink and white. She clearly didn't get the 'no bright colours' nail varnish edict allegedly issued to British royals eh?

I don't think so @Elllllle. From what I've seen on here - and I've been on these threads since they started - most posters are delighted when DoC opts for trousers, and many want her to break out of her uniform and be more adventurous.

@MotherofPearl Queen Margarethe is such a flamboyant dresser that I imagine she has a 'bright colours only' nail polish decree!

@MotherofPearl hmm not sure. I'm fairly neutral in that I like both Duchesses' style, ethos, whatever. But this thread seems to think that though they like the idea of Kate being adventurous and more stylish, as soon as she wears, say, wide leg trousers for example, instead of skinnies (which she "lives in" and as much "a part of her" as Meghan's heels are a part of her, apparently) they are too long, too wide or too short. Whereas Max whatshername wears them and NO ONE DARES ARGUE AS SHE LOOKS FABULOUS etc etc. Just my observation

Don’t like the yellow on Max. At first I thought she was wearing Invictus colours and meeting Harry, but it is just a random cheery yellow suit.

Well @QueenOfTheAndals, I'm obediently following the edict with Essie 'ballet slippers' nail varnish myself today, which we are led to believe is HMQ's go-to shade!

I think Max gets away with bright colours and flamboyant outfits because she has the personality to match, which means she wears the clothes and they don't wear her (if that makes sense). If Kate wore something like the awful yellow suit it wouldn't look right because she hasn't got the presence or personality to carry it off. Just because someone has the figure to wear something doesn't mean they should!

I'm not keen on the bright yellow suit, it's a bit too Superlambanana for me!

I don't think Camilla's pale blue kaftan works either, and I love most of her outfits, especially the cream coat she wore for her arrival.

She's got her stoical tour look in that photo too and a sore foot, so she can be forgiven the kaftan!

Harry is just so bloody thrilled to be a Dad isn't he. So lovely to witness.

I like to think that Max would chase a critic of her clothes around a room to grab them, give them a bear hug then tickle them non-stop, until the person almost breathless & giggling non-stop says "you win."
That's probably why no one says a bad word, as I can just imagine Max being a champion tickler!

Kate, like practically every other woman, looks best in in-between width. Does anyone look best or fantastic in wide leg or super skinnies?

@QueenOfTheAndals Princess of Marina was a very glamorous lady. Princess Alexandra is the epitome of elegance. If I have a smidgeon of her style at that age I'll be a happy woman

Being a princess, Marina apparently looked down on the QM (a mere earl's daughter) and called HM and PM "those common little Scottish girls"! I saw a recent photo of her granddaughter Marina Ogilvy and she's the spitting image of her.

Kate knows she has great legs, so we can't blame her for showing them off. I would!

I think she looks good in both wide-legged trousers and skinnies but the skinnies sometimes look more like leggings!

@queenofarles Do you follow Trinny on Instagram? She's hilarious and always wears the brightest of colours. But never with black of course!

They can look like leggings, it's true. She goes from one extreme to another, Edwardian nightie one day, spray on trousers the nest.

Perhaps she's channelling Sandy from Grease 😂

I love the bright yellow suit. It has tone accessorised with the most enormous smile though
