Any guesses on what Meghan will wear to introduce baby Sussex? I'm guessing Givenchy as it's her go-to designer for big events.

Then again she could surprise us all and come out in a JoJo Maman Bébé breastfeeding tunic!

DoS dress was by young British designer Grace Wales Bonner.
Good on her

Elllllle · 09/05/2019 01:34

Archie is cute as a nickname, not fond of it as a proper first name (not fond of any nickname type names though tbf, bit too cutesy). It is super popular though (& soon to be more so I'm guessing!)

BabyDueDecember2019 · 09/05/2019 04:55

Beautiful family! They looked so happyThanksStar

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/05/2019 06:58

If they go on to have a girl as well and she's called Elizabeth then they'll have Archie and Betty, just like the comics 😂😂

Cute photos of Kate with a random baby. I actually prefer the waterproof coat and wellies to the red blazer. Her jeans are so skinny that it looks like she's forgotten to put a skirt on! But skinnies to Kate are what high heels are to Meghan...

Have we seen these photos of
Princess Caroline And Prince Albert at a flower show? She's still beautiful, although he hasn't aged anywhere near as well, and the dress is very pretty on her. I also realised I hadn't seen a photo of her smiling in ages!

I wonder how Charlene gets on with her SiLs?

Hard to tell from a few inches of his little face; but he does appear to look like Meghan.

Archie is certainly cute and doesn't have that crumpled Winston Churchill look that most newborns do.

I know Kate got slated for her jacket yesterday, but I think she looks smart. Bearing in mind she only needed to whip off the jacket and heels and swap to a waterproof jacket and boots. I think she planned her outfit well.
That shade of crimson suits her and was great for the dreary weather.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/05/2019 07:12

Ps@queen we need a link for the Monaco royals please !

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/05/2019 07:13

The shade was good, I'm just not so sure about the cut and big gold buttons!

And just for @frugalkitty here's HH and MM taking a "literary metro ride" through Oslo.

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 09/05/2019 07:15

Link is here @CurlyWurlyTwirly but I'd actually attached a couple of photos to my post.

I think there's a problem with photos not always displaying on posts.

I also think I'll put in a list of royal acronyms in the OP of the next thread, lest newbies get confused by H&M, CPV and HH&MM etc!

OP posts:
LoversLane · 09/05/2019 07:38

..... just goes to prove how many threads we’ve had that the acronyms have become second nature to us now. Bit like Line of Duty!

LoversLane · 09/05/2019 07:40

MM looks good, I really like her blouse. Bit upsetting that some of the comments are about her health deteriorating and thats why HH accompanied her on this trip.

MotherofPearl · 09/05/2019 07:56

@QueenOfTheAndals yes I posted the photos of Princess Caroline yesterday but it was about 2 mins before the pics of H&M and baby Archie came out, so my post was pretty ill-timed and quickly overtaken! Grin

I agree that she's still beautiful and the dress is okay but I'm afraid it's big thumbs down from me for those pink shoes!

frugalkitty · 09/05/2019 07:59

Aw, shucks, Queen that's kind of you to think of me! Brightened up my morning Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/05/2019 09:27

I like Caroline’s dress. Is she not about 60 now?
One of the commentators said she is wearing less Chanel since Lagerfeld died. The floaty floral really suits her.

Speaking of which, Kate should be at the Chelsea Flower show. That should be a «floral frock» occasion for quite a few royals. It starts on the 21st May, so the weekend after Gabriella Windsor’s wedding.
I think we may see a few outfits from the York Princesses coming up.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/05/2019 09:39

Yes, Caroline is early 60s now @CurlyWurlyTwirly.

I reckon that for the CFS Kate will wear a floral frock in that Edwardian nightie silhouette she's favoured lately!

Who do you think Archie looks like? Based on this, I think Meghan. Harry wasn’t the cutest baby really was he, I think he grew into his looks.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/05/2019 10:30

Definitely Meghan right now but they change so fast when they're that tiny!

OP posts:
Elllllle · 09/05/2019 10:52

How can you tell?! He looks like a baby! He has avoided the wrinkled old man look my newborns had, as you said I think queen ... it's funny Ive read here today that Harry made some slip in that original press interview about the baby being two weeks and then corrected to say 2.5 days errr 3 days, and also that the baby must be at least 2 weeks old OR born by c-section given his unwrinkled skin Grin

I would hate to be in the public eye!

motheroftinydragons · 09/05/2019 11:01

Neither of my babies were born wrinkly. One natural birth and one ELCS. Why would it make a difference? In fact if anything they looked a little bit puffy for a few days after birth.

She never had a CS on Monday morning (at 5:26 also, weird time for a CS unless it was an emergency) and was walking upright in 4 inch heels two days later. I'd eat my hat if that's the case. Even with morphine or diclofenac she'd be in some discomfort I'm sure. She also had a bit of the old John Wayne type waddle going on I thought - not a criticism, but perfectly normal after just giving birth!

I would also imagine if it'd been a CS she'd have marks on the back of her hand from a cannula. I guess make up could hide it but I'd be surprised.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/05/2019 11:04

I think Harry said something along the lines of "they can change a lot in 2 weeks" and people took that to mean Archie was 2 weeks old.

All babies look like cheery potatoes. Mine did. My niece did. All babies do. Adorable, cheery, smooshable little potatoes. Grin

Wonder if Meghan will go to Trooping the Colour? Hope she feels up to it, it seems like a fairly nice sort of Royal day. All together, nice dresses and hats, no walkabout or speechifying. Lots of waving and cheering. All seems quite nice to me.
