Any guesses on what Meghan will wear to introduce baby Sussex? I'm guessing Givenchy as it's her go-to designer for big events.

Then again she could surprise us all and come out in a JoJo Maman Bébé breastfeeding tunic!

DofE looks fabulous.
DofC literal dressing again, like a sailor,

BlingLoving · 07/05/2019 14:32

Assume there'll be some "off the cuff" comment re new baby. We've had Charles and the Queen already.

BlingLoving · 07/05/2019 14:33

hrhduchessKate has a better picture. Looks like cut off wide legs? Probably more practical for a boat but odd. Although she can totally carry it off.

and YY to the nautical theme. She really is incredibly literal! Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/05/2019 14:34

There's nothing Kate loves more than a Breton top and those trousers are indeed nautical!

William has made some comment about welcoming Harry into the "sleep deprivation society that is parenting". I find it hard to believe that he loses much sleep because of his children!!

My adult dd and her friends wear their trousers that length- I can’t imagine why, it seems neither one thing nor the other.

BlingLoving · 07/05/2019 14:39

@queen - he seems pretty hands on. Just because they can afford 24 hour care doesn't mean they necessarily use it constantly. I've never understood this idea that rich people/royals etc don't have the same instinct to be there for their DC when they're young.

Of course, if you're suggesting william is just happy to leave all the night times to Kate, that's something else entirely and I have no comment on that! Grin. Although it seems unlikely to me - I just don't get the sense that's how their relationship works. Although obviously, my senses are based on nothing more than pictures and instincts...!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/05/2019 14:52

William was pictured at Westminster abbey almost falling asleep last year when Louis was a newborn.

I love Kate’s literal dressing and it’s even better when she coordinates the whole family!

DofE looks very well. The Queen looks overjoyed to have him there; her hair looks extra “bouffy” today. The brooch probably has some significance for her and Phillip.

William and Kate commentary on the new baby

TSSDNCOP · 07/05/2019 15:10

Without seeing that photo, I could've predicted what Kate would be wearing today.

I'm surprised she hadn't got a Nelsonesque hat on and a bag shaped like an anchor.

SunshineCake · 07/05/2019 15:14

I've just seen the photos of William and Kate and when I saw K in trousers I immediately thought of you guys. She looks good too.

InterchangeableEmma · 07/05/2019 15:15

The brooch is one she had made Her mother 100th birthday, here: orderofsplendor.blogspot.com/2012/05/sunday-brooch-centenary-rose.html?m=1

InterchangeableEmma · 07/05/2019 15:17

The brooch is one she had made for her mothers 100th birthday, apparently. Here: orderofsplendor.blogspot.com/2012/05/sunday-brooch-centenary-rose.html?m=1

Paradyning · 07/05/2019 15:22

Is a shame Kate has resorted to literal dressing. Again. As she actually looks fresh and modern for once. But makes it backfire a bit

hopeishere · 07/05/2019 15:30

Such literal dressing from Kate!!!

frugalkitty · 07/05/2019 15:34

I rather like Kate's outfit, I think it suits her and at least it's not yet another one of her coat dresses.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/05/2019 15:44

I like it too. I'm quite partial to a bit of nauticality!

OP posts:
AudacityOfHope · 07/05/2019 15:46

I don't care if it's too literal (and I usually hate that) I'm just glad it looks as if she's wearing age-appropriate clothes. And trousers, such a nice change, she looks nice and comfortable.

SenecaFalls · 07/05/2019 16:03

I think she looks great. Love the touch of red.

Kedgeree · 07/05/2019 16:07

I'm trying to remember where I saw those trousers - they're definitely high street. Wherever it was I picked them up liking the front panel with the buttons then realised they're short-longs and put them back. We've got Whistles and Jigsaw and Phase Eight and Mint Velvet, so it'll be one of those. I'm betting Whistles or Jigsaw.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 07/05/2019 16:23

The trousers are current LK Bennett and retail at £150. I like them on her figure. On me - a pear-shaped 5ft 6 - not so much.

Bridiehouse · 07/05/2019 16:26

The trousers are LK Bennett apparently, Kedgeree.

She looks really good overall but I find striped tops so dull! The trousers are a fashionable cut but they look a bit odd imo. Hate the chunky heel with the pointed toe. Glad she chose a red clutch rather than a matching colour!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/05/2019 16:41

I'm rather liking Willian's suede shoes!

I think they both look great, much more themselves than the very formal wear we've been seeing lately. I quite like the literal styling on Kate, I think it's meant to be taken lightheartedly.

beanaseireann · 07/05/2019 16:44

Kate's voice was so plummy I found it very hard to know what she said in the clip Blush

MotherofPearl · 07/05/2019 16:46

Dashing on to say how much I love Kate's outfit today! I adore nautical styling and stripes, and that red clutch seals the deal!
