Sorry, it looks really cheap and tacky in my opinion. And too low cut for a wedding.

What sort of wedding is it? What’s the venue like? Is there a dress code? Do you know anyone else going?

Honeybooboo123 · 06/05/2019 11:05

I'm family to the bride, my daughter is a bridesmaid.

Venue is upmarket hotel in a good part of London. Older couple, mid 40s with friends to match.

That’s nice

ElloBrian · 06/05/2019 11:35

I like that one a lot!

Ok, so, as one foreigner to another on posh English weddings:

  1. Don’t have two outfits.
  2. Sorry but you’re going to have to wear muted colours. Paler colours in summer, darker colours in winter.
  3. You only need something on your head for a church ceremony. No one tends to wear hats for hotel weddings. If you do choose to wear one don’t wear a facinator. Eother a hat or a hatinator. And take it offfor the reception.
  4. Be wary of grass. If there will be grass at any point wear block heels to avoid sinking into it.
  5. Dobt bring a gift to the wedding. Most people prefer that you just do the John Lewis gift registry thing.

Sorry it's a no from me. It looks cheap- even before I saw the price. Fine for a party but not for a classy wedding.

Honeybooboo123 · 06/05/2019 13:23

Lol sorry for scaring you with my first choice!
Ok. No fascinator. I did know they were a bit Non U

Fabric looks poor quality.

I do like the mint 70s one you posted but it is only available in a 26 - you said you were a 22.

Please don't go for a mumsy shift style dress - you obviously can wear bold style and jewel tones so rock it!

palahvah · 06/05/2019 13:40

OP you don't have to wear pastels - jewel tones are totally fine. Just check the fabric isn't TOOOO shiny

Honeybooboo123 · 06/05/2019 13:42

MrsJakeLovell
I got the last one I think in my size.
