This is cute and could be accessorised with some colour and maybe a cream jacket

I like the dress but it doesn't look appropriate for the wedding you're going too. I think at that price it can only look cheap. Good luck in finding something, wedding guests outfits are a minefield on MN.

This is nice - in both colours - and on sale!

Studio 8, part of Phase Eight, have larger sizes.

ElloBrian · 05/05/2019 11:18

This is also nice (more florals!) and on sale

A lot of my suggestions have been suitable for classic English wedding type events. If the event you’re going to is going to be a bit more urban/evening-dressy then perhaps something like this with a navy jacket and accessories would do day to evening ...

Cannot go wrong with a classic polka dot ...

That one is lovely OP! Do you have a jacket that would go with it, or will you buy a new one?

Honeybooboo123 · 05/05/2019 11:24

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I like the studio 8 dresses but muted isn't really my colour pallet.

I really like the shape but the fabric/colour does make it look like a quality street wrapper.

It's probably not right for the day time either. If I was staying at the venue and attending all day then evening do, I'd probably have two outfits. I changed out of my bridesmaid dress for the evening do last time.

feelingsinister · 05/05/2019 11:24

That pink dress is lovely.

Honeybooboo123 · 05/05/2019 11:26

Jacket?

Hadn't thought of a jacket... It's at the end of July. Portable air conditioning might be needed...

Yes to the pink dress you posted. It's lovely.

Honeybooboo123 · 05/05/2019 11:30

I love this!

Metallic shoes, silver perhaps?

I really like that one too.

SimplyPut · 05/05/2019 11:34

I'm a size 16/18 and my boobs are decent but far too big for that style of dress!

This is striking

beautiful green

Honeybooboo123 · 05/05/2019 11:39

SimplyPut

Love the green too.

Ok large John Lewis order in progress!

No. It is tacky and slightly vulgar. The fabric is not nice.

And yes, you will need a longer gown for the evening. And a jacket and hat for the church.

Harebellsies · 05/05/2019 11:43

The john lewis green dresses are much nicer, the way the light will bounce off the fabric will make you look much nicer in photos.

Connieston · 05/05/2019 11:44

Bit low cut for a wedding especially if you have more than a C cup. Pretty dress though.
