Where is this baby ? Why arent there any clues. I remember parking was redirected for certain dates near Kate’s London Wing and this have a clue to her due date. No hospitals with staff encouraged to work extra maternity shifts around due date ?

Mummylovesbags · 26/04/2019 05:21

@coveryourearsteam very interesting indeed, seemed to be a legitimate and credible source. Wonder what the deeper rift is ?

Paradyning · 26/04/2019 05:32

Marie in a lovely dress. Not too dissimilar to Max's green one.

Yes where is this baby? Was it bloody Mary who kept thinking she was pregnant, going into confinement but then weeks after the due date having to concede there was no baby? I can't remember what the bulge was now but it's starting to feel a bit like that. Grin

Paradyning · 26/04/2019 05:49

Didn't she have a cancerous mass in the end?

TipseyTorvey · 26/04/2019 06:02

I've just googled it as I needed to know. Apparently it was a phantom pregnancy and even when she died shortly after the second one the autopsy showed no sign of a growth. I'd say 'poor woman' but she had loads of protestants killed during the pregnancy because she said god wouldn't let the baby out til they were all dead. Anyway sorry to drag down the happy thread obviously thats not what's happening with M! Smile

UrsulaPandress · 26/04/2019 06:17

Gosh I hope not 😂

Becles · 26/04/2019 06:24

@mathanxiety Thank you. I feel better for having done that quick refresher. Grin #Cerebral

@Myimaginarycathasfleas

MM doesn't need our sympathy. She's every bit as ruthless as Kate. Not a single family member at her wedding apart from her mother

That you know of. Could you point out a member of Meghan's family from a crowd? Aside from her siblings and parents (and possibly uncle Gary) describe the common features of Kate's family...

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 26/04/2019 07:47

@Becles I think there was a recent article with an interview from her uncle expressing disappointment about no-one being invited. I think if there were any guests from her side we would certainly have heard about it. But I'm not going to press the point. I'd be happy to be wrong.

I'm not a Meghan hater by any means, there's a lot about her which is admirable, not least her work ethic, but I'm not taken in by the saccharin either.

The Mirror article is interesting, it puts a different spin on the rift. Perhaps what they need is professional mediation. They've both had counselling so would be open to that approach I would have thought.

Only just catching up with this thread and laughing at the moral high ground flouncer GrinGrin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 26/04/2019 07:53

Yea, @AudacityOfHope, it was quite a moment...

I think you have to have to be pretty strong to survive marrying into the royal family. I watched an interview with Meghan in a doc about HM last year and though she was lovely and smiley, she also came across as having a core of steel. In fact she reminded me of the Queen Mother, another royal famous for being charming but tough as old boots underneath it all!

I thought Marie was Letizia for a moment as the dress is very her! Is there no royal woman she can't impersonate???

queenofarles · 26/04/2019 08:13

Wasn’t she around 16 weeks in Australia ? If the baby is still not here that makes her 2 weeks overdue , if no announcement is made in the coming days , then the baby is here already!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/04/2019 08:14

Why do the tabloids insist on calling her Kate Middleton? AFAIK her name is Cathrine and I’m pretty sure she is the Duchess of Cambridge.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/04/2019 08:16

I think the baby is here already.

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/04/2019 08:17

The same reason Diana was still called Lady Di for years I guess, it's what people are familiar with. And she was known as Kate prior to her engagement, it's not like say, Elizabeth Hurley, who's referred to as Liz by the media but has never actually been called that by anyone.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 26/04/2019 08:21

Yes, the Queen Mother was indeed a tough cookie. Famously extravagant too! Champagne at the drop of a hat. I wonder what the public would have made of her today?

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/04/2019 08:27

Apparently she had a £4m overdraft with Coutts at the time of her death!

OP posts:
Laiste · 26/04/2019 08:27

I think the baby might already be here too. Not yesterday. Perhaps the day before?

How long would they leave a birth announcement i wonder? I can fully understand not wanting to bow to the pressure of a photo release in the first month, or any appearances on steps ect, but why no simple announcement? Genuinely wondering. I can't see it fueling any media mobs really. No one knows where she is after all.

Daisypie · 26/04/2019 08:28

I don't think the baby is here yet. I agree about Meghan having a core of steel. Her whole prior career was about building her brand and being strategic in how she was seen etc. Including having celebrity friends and cutting off dud family members.

SleepingStandingUp · 26/04/2019 08:35

Given Harry wasn't expected yesterday, I don't ink he'd go off baby was a day or so old.

Clankboing · 26/04/2019 08:37

Whilst reading this thread, I have been thinking about William's demeanor - regardless of potential affairs / potential rifts with Harry. I think it is likely that he suffers from depression. I did briefly wonder whether William had had a crisis of confidence about himself (and his children) becoming monarch. In his shoes I think I would!!
