This thread has got very weird at times today! I saw some pictures of Leti on IG just now and it struck me how huge her wardrobe must be....and I wonder if in Spain she gets the same amount of criticism about her spending as the royal ladies do over here. I know there was controversy over her engagement ring, just wondered about the cost of her clothes.

I don’t admire Kate’s acting skills at all. I think she is one tough cookie and I think for some reason, the birth of Louis seems to have given her the confidence to think she is unbreakable. Then William played around and her staunchness rose to new levels. But the queen of hearts she will never be.....

Her blue frock coat looked great on her today.

She actually does mix a fair big of cheaper stuff in through it. There was an embroidered ASOS bird dress on the last thread I actually ordered (and returned, ran too small though not a problem for Letizia let's face it). And there's a fair bit of Zara and H+M in there.

That's the secret I think - just when people are starting to froth about yet more Oscar de la Renta, lob in a skirt for €29.99. People won't know you've spent a hundred on tailoring it, lol.

Leto wears a lot of Massimo Dutti, doing her bit for the Spanish clothing shops. I wonder if she likes all the clothes or just wears them to be seen to promote Spanish fashion?

I have a feeling sone of these clothes are not necessarily to her taste although some obviously are as she passes them down to her daughters (again probably solely to ward off the public’s complaints about her expenditure). She is quite disliked in Spain.

@SlipperOrchid what I mean by her being made of admirable stuff is her being able to face the scrutiny of the press when inside she must be feeling like shit. Whether or not William has played away, it can't be nice knowing that your every move is being scrutinised for signs of breakage.

But if he hasn’t played away, she probably isn’t feeling like shit at all. And we don’t know if he has or not. It could be an affair, a drunken kiss or never happened at all. Somebody said he was trending on Twitter recently but there was a blackout here? Did anything ever come of that? Why would this supposed Rose jeopardize her marriage? And very often with these things, the rumours start and somebody’s name is mentioned and the media jump on it. It could have been an affair/a kiss with somebody else entirely or it may never have happened and Kate could be feeling a million dollars and happy she is suddenly the English Rose and Meghan is gating the wrath of the public. I think Kate could easily have had a couple of public outings with MM and put on a little show like she did today. That she doesn’t strikes me as very poor form and a woman who doesn’t help another woman who has been in the very same position as Kate makes me believe she is very cold and calculating.

Talking of molluscs I read an article that reported that HMQ doesn't eat oysters/mussels in case they haven't been properly prepared.

The flip side to that slipper as much with politicians as the RF is once you are seen to respond to something - directly or indirectly then every time hereafter you don't respond is seen as acknowledgement of acceptance of the accusation or that you are 'dancing' to the press tune.

William wasn’t long going to his solicitors to shut down the affair rumours. Harry made a statement about respecting MM and Doria’s privacy. They do it when they want to do it and Kate showing solidarity with a woman who is being hanged by the public, and who is now a member of her family, would have been seen as just that. Is that bowing down to the press? Or is it one woman helping another? Either way Kate doesn’t have it in her and she now comes across as extremely unlikeable.

I think I'd feel like shit if people were widely speculating about my husband's fidelity, whether or not there were any grounds to do so. I really hope theres no foundation to the rumours and I hope they die away quickly. It's not stuff I want to know about.

MM doesn't need our sympathy. She's every bit as ruthless as Kate. Not a single family member at her wedding apart from her mother. She has fully reinvented herself.

I dislike the vitriol aimed at her but I think she'll weather the storm ok.

I wonder if the Rose stuff is something from a couple of years ago and Louis was a reconciliation baby. Kate has looked so happy since he was born.

Daisypie I hope not ie I hope it isn’t true at all. Once a wanderer, always a wanderer, she would simply be playing a waiting game because it would happen again. And again.

And he has three children who will grow up and learn about his affairs. So I hope it’s not true.

But Kate, I have so little time for. She comes across as calculating and cold. Her performance today said everything really. Laugh crazily on cue. And that’s a wrap!
