Thanks for the gourmand tips, will check them out. My fave at the minute is Carthusia Terra Mia which is hazelnut/praline/coffee but it's very sweet, I'd prefer a slight edge to it which is missing.

Have just been trying Scenthusiasm again (thanks to Calm if I recall correctly?). On me this is a soft green coriander. I don't get the floral notes.

I have the LT Piver Heliotrope Blanc MrsMoggs and it's really lovely. Not very long lasting unsurprisingly. I spray it very generously and like to wear it for bed!

Sote mocha by prosody

SOTD is Aesop Marrakech Intense parfum, which comes in a roller. It's beautiful. Not as striking as LADDM but something I feel I could wear every day as it smells very comforting and and natural (but exotic in a similar scent palette).

I came on to ask about Floral Street and see it’s been discussed a bit recently!

I have the smaller versions Vanilla Orchid, which I hated at first but has really grown on me, and Neon Rose which is just awful although I don’t usually like rose anyway.

I see Feel Unique has them on their pick n mix sample thing though so I was going to order some - which should I try?

They also have Valeur Absolue samples which look interesting. Anyone tried them?

Is it possible to buy a sample of Aesop Marrakech anywhere please ?
I can’t find it here in the sticks to try !

I couldn't find it to sample, Speckledy -- I finally got to try it when passing by an Aesop store. It's a very tiny rollerball tube (10ml for £67) and I also wanted to try the EDT (spray) so thought I'd try the shop and waited for ages to do it. But it was worth it. They also have two others, both also lovely and well worth a sniff. Quite natural and herbal/aromatic, like the rest of their stuff.

Comfort me please, vintage-loving Perfumistas; my elderly PC just froze at exactly the wrong moment and I missed out on a stupendous bargain on ebay (two hard to find vintage classics). That'll teach me to spend every penny on perfume rather than upgrading essential tech

Would any of you more knowledgeable ladies consider organising a discovery box again, where we all try the same perfume every week? I did one before with Count Fosco and some others; it was fun and I need some new suggestions.

Another big sniff sounds good. The Perfume Society has another niche box out which looks just the ticket (was it Count or Blue* who negotiated us a discount before?).

Alternatively we could ask Sarah McC if she she'd sell us a sample/raw material sniffing set?

Speckled I didn't get any of them but I sniffed all of them, then tried both the parfum and the EDT versions of the Marrakech Intense on my wrists. The parfum smelled best on me, so I popped some more on and have been enjoying it all day. It's definitely on my want list. I've made some ill-suited blind buys so I really need to try things!

SOTD was Tauer ACDD. Haven’t even been over the door today because it has been hail, gales, and sleet.

I am up for another sniff test, although I didn’t like much of the last lot.
