Actually I think the OP might be ill and not in a good place mentally. To post such a thread and not return is very odd.

Perhaps her esteem is low and she was looking for some good old fashioned Mumsnet validation. Which she didn’t get. People aren’t stupid and can recognise when someone is blatantly trawling for compliments. As she is clearly an older lady, you’d think she would be grown up enough to not care what randoms think. Clearly not.

I hope she is ok though and has someone in rl to chat to.

You look lovely OP. When people don't have their personal identification attached to their posts, they can be very mean spirited.

She would look younger if she

a) lost a bit of weight from her middle to better match her slender arms and (presumably) legs.

b) had her hair cut into a shorter, edgier style with a bit of a fringe to camouflage her 'giving the game away' eyebrows.

c) do something to her eyebrows to add snatural-looking to

Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean, more like I was feeling mischievous and getting cross that the op wasn't going to come back and tell us and was just winding us up.

She's pretty and looks in her 50s. People are often amazed at what women look like in their 50s these days. My mid-thirties daughter without a line on her skin is my starting gauge for guessing a women's age.

I would post a pic of me except it would out me, not as the old-looking woman for her age but the mean-spirited one, which I'm not really. It was a blip. Sorry.

I am sure this thread is genuine, not saying that it isn't. But it feels a bit similar to one of those psychological experiments into empathy that test whether people react more compassionately if they can see someone's face compared to not.
