SOTD is Miller Harris Hidden on the Rooftops. But then I went and put some Monyette Paris over it when I left work. It smelled weirdly nice, like I was in an airy London garden with some tropical flowers wafting by incongruously.

Right...so what's our go to scent for a constitutional crisis? Anyone?

How about Naomi Goodsir Bois d’ascène MrsMoggs ? Smell of burning with undercurrent of whisky.

mother Hidden is supposed to be as close as they (MH) can get to Coeur de Fleur which they VERY SELFISHLY discontinued. i will try to get a sample of Hidden...

MrsMoggs, I think it has to be “O, Unknown!”, lots of tea and parchment notes (for looking up dusty statutes). Who knows what will happen?

Count, I definitely need to look out for the woodpigeons’ “I don’t know”. We tend to just have the ordinary feral kind in our garden, but they are very funny. We had a whole crowd of them this morning, one each side of the pigeon-proof feeder, swinging it from side to side so that the seeds fell out onto the ground, and the rest waiting for the goodies underneath. We do gets lots of great tits, and you can hear them call, like lots of rusty foot pumps in the trees 😀!

I have decided I need to use up some of my samples, as I have far too many with either just a little bit in the bottom of the sample bottle because I can’t bear to completely finish or, worse, where I have kept the empty bottle just so that I can smell the ghost of what used to be there! So, today I have finished off my sample of Lancome Magnifique. This is a spicy rose with a top note of saffron. I enjoyed it very much. I couldn’t tell what the notes were without looking it up on Fragrantica. It’s discontinued now and I wouldn’t pay the prices being asked for bottles on eBay.

I've been out for coffee!

I’m Perfumed with Frankincense oil. It’s so fresh, lemony green and slightly peppery. I also bought Patchouli which smells horrible and nothing like as lovely as Patchouli Clouds. Which has thoroughly spoilt me for any other Patchouli perfumes ever.

SOTD NRFH. It's sunny here, and not freezing. I am calling that a win.

MrsM, sorry have been on my phone and hate writing long posts Have your Tauer samples arrived? I am a real sucker for Tauer roses. Vermeille is jammy, fruity with raspberries and lemons but isn't overly sweet. It's quite dense and reminds me a little of La Fille de Berlin with more fruit and more vanilla. Definitely the nearest thing that AT has come to a gourmand, imo.

Incense Rose is much cooler, drier, more balsamic, smells like cold stone churches and deep red roses. The Tauerade is much more prominent in this (the balsam I guess). It's blissful and highly huffable

I have had a full bottle of Incense Rose for a couple of years now. I tested lots at Les Senteurs and that was my choice. I have no regrets as it is beautiful. The incense in it is strong on me, and quite a churchy incense too.But the rose is always there too. I would say that on me it’s fairly linear and lasts at least 8 hours with just a couple of small sprays. You definitely need to test it though. I have sent samples to others on here (can’t remember who) but no one has come back to enthuse, so maybe not everyone loves it as much as me!

Kalifornia, Hidden is really lovely on me. I think it may be a bit of a chameleon, though, as a couple of my friends have tried mine and it smelled completely different on them!

I wore AT L'Air Du Desert Marocain today. OMG. I had no idea that a scent could even be like this, changing and evolving throughout the afternoon and evening as I wore it. I got a lot of citrus/coriander at first, then the drydown was like church incense in the sexiest possible way, and now it's on a sweet dry gorgeous thing that smells just like the desert air as the sun goes down. Maybe a bit of amber? It's dry, but sweet on me.

I always think about how nice I will smell to other people... but this one! It makes me stop caring how I smell to other people. I love it, I just want to smell it on myself all day!

I'm going to really have to restrain myself from buying a bottle of this until I've tried out the others...
