Previous thread

And I shouldn't have to say this anymore but will do so for any newbies - let's keep our critiquing to the clothes and not the women wearing them.

I like the rust dress!

BigGreenOlives · 23/02/2019 09:06

I think that’s Dior quilting on the jacket sleeves

Rhubarbisevil · 23/02/2019 12:04

Has anyone see this? It’s the make up ranges for the Royal Brides. a lot of Bobbi Brown

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 12:36

Diana's skin in that link is just gorgeous.

Boomf is no longer owned by JM though is it? Or he doesn't work there

He has a bit of an easy gig now working for the Matthews family, probably out of support for his mental health

So throwing his name into the mix is just to spice a none story

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 12:38

Kate has ditched the heavy eyeliner since but is very fond of a lot of blusher. Every time I see photos of her at a big event I want to take a blending brush to her face! Meghan's makeup is almost always beautifully done, although she can be heavy on the highlighter. Her outfits aren't always hits but from the neck up she usually looks flawless.

@BartonHollow I think he still owns it, technically. But I agree it's more the fault of whoever is in charge now, or their staff. Really, are they so thick that they didn't realise that an order for swastikas should be declined??

AFifthOfKoolAid · 23/02/2019 12:41

Love the bridal makeup post :) I still have eyebrow envy from Kate's wedding 8 years on.

I don't understand how Meghan manages to have her freckles showing while wearing foundation? Or does she just have impeccable skin?! I need me some of that skincare regime.

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 12:44

Maybe it's a very light foundation or tinted moisturiser. Thy got married on a very hot day so she probably didn't want to go too heavy on the base.

I don like the leather jackets on the twins.
Too adult like.
But they are cute.

BartonHollow · 23/02/2019 13:23

@QueenOfTheAndals

If it's all computerised and automated it's plausible no one even saw them

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 13:28

Possibly, but let's hope their quality control improves now!

I don't want to read the story online but my first thought is that a journalist deliberately ordered them.

BartonHollow · 23/02/2019 14:14

That would be thoroughly unsurprising and make total sense

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 15:10

Entirely possible. Though I wonder what's brought that on? The interview about his depression was very sympathetic so not sure why the DM would suddenly change track like that.

OP posts:
BartonHollow · 23/02/2019 15:22

The DM has zero moral compass and will do anything for a story.

The reality is that they probably told him they were going to "expose" his mental health issues but gave him the option of consenting and controlling the story as an exclusive

They have done this many, many times over the years to various people in the public eye at various times

It's a classic tabloid tactic

Rhubarbisevil · 23/02/2019 15:23

You’ve got to feel sorry for the Middleton siblings - the press have made sure that Pippa and James can’t hold down proper jobs without monumental interference.

BartonHollow · 23/02/2019 15:25

Yes and the negative consequences of Catherine's marriage and maybe even some of the positives have probably contributed to James mental health struggle

BartonHollow · 23/02/2019 15:29

I mean your brother in law and your small nephew are both

The Future King

How do you assert yourself and achieve as a man without being damaged by toxic masculinity and traditional concepts and definitions of 'male success' particularly if numerous doors and avenues are opened or closed for you purely by virtue of who your sister married

mathanxiety · 23/02/2019 16:06

Yes indeed BartonHollow, and on top of that there is a barrier in the form of dyslexia and ADD and whatever side effects accompanied all of that.

PinguDance · 23/02/2019 16:41

Pippa was a bit ahead of me at university and described by one of my lecturers as ‘nice but dim’ - seemed a bit harsh at the time but then again she hasn’t done anything that overturns that opinion of her!

I really can’t warm to either her or James - James has done a good thing in talking about depression but I can’t say I feel very sorry for him re his circumstances.

AFifthOfKoolAid · 23/02/2019 17:08

This blog has an article and pictures of the Queen's trip to Morocco nearly 40 years ago.

Red swimming cap aside, she served some looks! The white gown with the belt in particular is gorgeous.

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 17:30

Oh dear, that is harsh re Pippa but you'd think she'd have a decent brain if she got into Edinburgh. She and Kate don't seem to have inherited Carole's work ethic!

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 23/02/2019 17:31

Apparently HM dubbed her Morocco tour the tour from hell!
