I'm trying my best not to look @Laska2Meryls
Consequently because of my self imposed (semi) clothes shopping ban (due to being a fattie) I'm buying nail polishes/hair products/tights 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
I'm only doing it because I'm bored.
And hungryGrin

I’m back :). Tried to reduce my online time last week when we were away. Had a lovely week with DH, nice to have the dog back again and have caught up on laundry :).

Got my last refund through today (finally!), so feeling more flush again, but don’t feel at all tempted by new Hush. Still have to try my knitted tunics on from the sale, but otherwise starting to feel a bit bored with seeing the same things - not just in Hush but across the board.

Final reductions in the Hush sale now. Wonder if the remains will go up on Brand Alley again in a few weeks.

Laska2Meryls · 22/01/2019 09:03

Quite Often they launch new collection the day after final reductions. Anyone seen anything?

ilovecherries · 22/01/2019 12:13

I am still mithering on about leather leggings. I didn’t wear them on holiday, so still have labels on, but if they are going back, it needs to be today. I do love them, just somehow feel embarrassed to wear them.

@cherries - I like them! Why don't you? They make your legs look long and slim! Aren't they comfortable? (Are they warm???)

ilovecherries · 22/01/2019 12:36

They are toasty warm, and very comfy. I love them. I’m just feeling incredibly awkward about leaving the house in them.

justilou1 · 22/01/2019 12:57

WHY??? You look fabulous!!! I think if you wear jeans, you can wear these!!! (Only suspect these look better!!!)

Laska2Meryls · 22/01/2019 13:10

Is it just the black ones you are unsure about Cherries.? They do look fab on you, why do you think you are embarrassed --btw your age is not a valid reason !!

Writersblock2 · 22/01/2019 13:18

I’ve bought a few things in the sale. Really enjoyed the winter collection. If anyone wants a referral code for £20 off let me know.

ilovecherries · 22/01/2019 13:28

btw, your age is not a valid reason

Haha, Laska, you got me with that one 😀!

I haven’t even tried the burgundy ones yet, but I have a few days more leeway with them. I think I’m just feeling a bit down on myself.

Cherries you look great! I love that outfit on you

twosoups1972 · 22/01/2019 14:18

Welcome back cherries glad to hear you had a good time away.

You look GREAT! Honestly. The leggings look fab on you. Love the jumper btw, where's it from?

ilovecherries · 22/01/2019 14:23

The jumper is cashmere, from &otherstories. You are all being very kind, I think I am just feeling a bit bleurgh about myself. It might be being on countdown to 61 next week!

OP posts:
twosoups1972 · 22/01/2019 15:16

61 is nothing cherries you look amazing Smile

For those who are a bit disillusioned with Hush at the moment, have a look at Jigsaw. They have become hideously expensive in recent years but their sales are good. Still have a lot of sale stock left. I've just ordered the red African spot tea dress and black/white monochrome mini skirt. Just to try, mind Grin

FuzzyCustard · 22/01/2019 16:27

cherries you look fabulous. Utterly gorgeous.

Today I have been mostly wearing a selection of practical stuff from Regatta (So I shall never ever show you lot) but I have been for a decent walk in the rain and a potter on the beach. That is my excuse.

I have ordered the gold sandals (see upthread) and am thinking about perhaps making myself something to wear. I have a lot of fabric and patterns that need to see daylight.

It's my birthday this week. How did I get so old so quickly! I'm a mere late thirties in my head.

FuzzyCustard · 22/01/2019 16:28

cherries you and I are the same age. Happy birthday when it comes!

TheFormidableMrsC · 22/01/2019 16:30

@ilovecherries Keep the leather leggings! They look fabulous!

wearenotacodfish · 22/01/2019 17:26

@ilovecherries they are fabulous but you need to feel confident and if you don't will you get your wear out of them?

I had a hush ruched skirt on with a grey jumper. Really busy day at work today so I'm in pyjamas already with a hot chocolate and Netflix.

Laska2Meryls · 22/01/2019 17:45

Alford boots in 5 came.. Here is a 61 year old modelling them with Ivy , Zebra scarf and Hush leather leggings.. (and slightly a glum facial expression for some reason!)

I think I am keeping the boots. the KG ones are nice , but tba dont work with the leggings (too high in the ankle) which is one reason I wanted the Alfords in the first place

So Cherries what do you say? i am a stone heavier than you atm and 2ins shorter (I am keeping the leggings btw , the tags are already off!)

Laska2Meryls · 22/01/2019 17:46

argh! forgot photos!

Hey cherries I love the leather trousers, I really Hope you decide to keep them. You look fantastic in your photo - I love your jumper and you look very polished 👌❤️

I've had a strange week but starting to feel a bit more like me again - without going into too much detail I discovered last week I have a heart defect that has somehow gone undetected my whole life, starting to have some symptoms recently and thus it was discovered after some tests last week.
I have a plan for treatment and will be having hopefully just a small op soon to fix things and hopefully reverse any damage done. It's been very odd for me as I am actually a cardiac nurse so it came as a big surprise, I did suspect that something was wrong but at the same time wasn't really prepared for the diagnosis! and it has been an eye opener to be on the other side of things. I'm quite terrified at the prospect of having to have a procedure on my heart!

Anyway... trying to feel positive. I've ordered the Phoebe irregular stitch jumper today to see what that's like - I like look of it but certainly wouldn't have paid full price. I've also ordered a pair of vegan DM's and a size up from my usual size in the leather to see if they fit any better (I will not be defeated in my mission to have some DM's!).

Let's hope Hush get some new and more inspiring stock out soon. I won't be able to travel down to London now for the sample sales given everything that's going on - is anyone here planning on going?

Ellapaella · 22/01/2019 17:51

Ooh Laska looking good!

Laska2Meryls · 22/01/2019 18:02

Ella thanks (I am trying to encourage cherries).
Dorry to hear about t your heart, I hope the Op rectifies it for you .. But as a cardiac nurse , does that make you feel better abut the op/ care aspect? .

Laska2Meryls · 22/01/2019 18:04

sorry..not Dorry!! . what I meant is do you have more heart knowledge than you would like as its your specialism? I'm sure you have lots of great recovery examples though to keep you upbeat .
