Argh! Alford boots came back in a 5.. my poor credit card ( and I wasn't going to buy any more, was I?) Oh well I can only keep one pair of boots. ..

twosoups1972 · 21/01/2019 11:13

gin love the Massimo Dutti shirt, have you tried it on yet?

MrsC I love Mulberry bags too, I hope you will have one in the future

laska the t-shirt looks fab, I really love it! Great colour.

GinandGingerBeer · 21/01/2019 15:12

I do indeed @TheFormidableMrsC. I am sorry to hear he's still as big an arsehole as he was back then Angry I've read many many relationship threads over the years and yours will always stick in my mind. Not even because of what an arsehole he was but that you were so, well, formidable Smile
The massimo Dutti shirt hasn't arrived yet @soups, I'll post when it does.
Hush Tara and Florence have arrived today, although I've not looked at them yet.
How's your DD doing?

twosoups1972 · 21/01/2019 15:28

Thanks for thinking of me gin She's ok I think. Ups and downs. She was pretty upbeat over the weekend until dh made a thoughtless comment which brought her down again. She's barely speaking to him at the moment, I feel stuck in the middle. She's got an appointment with the psychiatrist this afternoon so we'll see how that goes. Everyone's been telling me it's doing her good to be at home, but in some ways she wants to go back to school. But I don't want to send her back too early.

FuzzyCustard · 21/01/2019 15:31

twosoups It must all be such a worry for you. I hope your DD gets on with the psychiatrist and finds it helpful, and that she (and you) can find your way through this.

Talisin · 21/01/2019 16:34

Two things I have learned today: 1. I cannot take a flattering selfie if my life depends on it and 2. I have lost weight because my skirt waistband was actually loose. Yay! Anyway, reporting back on the new (pre) season grey/sequin Love Saves the Day jumper. It’s overpriced but I do in fact really really love it. I think I may be being influenced by half a month of Yoga with Adriene but the slogan just suits my mood currently and the slightly jaunty typography and letter placement makes it feel fun. The shadow effect behind the letters is black or dark grey stitching, the sizing is a little smaller than I’m used to with Hush jumpers but it is lighter material - more jersey-like than the Stellas, for example. I’ve attached a photo of it with jeans and another with a faux leather skirt but it looks a lot better in real life - the camera really does add 10 pounds (see 1.)

You look really fab in thatTalisin ( and it's a v good selfie!)

Laska2Meryls · 21/01/2019 17:37

I just love it with the skirt and boots , really stylish Smile

GinandGingerBeer · 21/01/2019 17:48

I hope her appointment goes well @soups hopefully she'll build a good rapport with the psychiatrist who will help her with methods to process her feelings re unhelpful comments. I sure your dh didn't mean any harm, but sometimes they can be so cluelesss!
I like that top @Talisin I saw it in jl the other day.
What on earth are you on about re your size? You look amazing! Gorgeous figure Envy
I also like the La vie en rose one in grey and lemon although I might be being influenced by lady ya ga's version of the song which is stunning!
I've just spent an hr trying to paint my toe nails! They're too grim for me to inflict on anyone in a slain.
What a mess! Sorry for tmi but I think I have a nail infection in both big toe nails. Does anyone know if the OTC stuff does anything?

GinandGingerBeer · 21/01/2019 17:49

In a salon not a slain! Maybe they should be slain with a sword though Grin

wearenotacodfish · 21/01/2019 18:15

@Talisin I love that jumper, I have the grey and green one from the summer and have worn it lots.

My dinosaur cardigan arrived and I do love it but it seems itchy so I will have to see if I can bear it. If not back it goes.

Oooh mulberry bags, I agree on not keeping them for best. I use my Lily and Darley all the time and they make me a happy codfish.

SpeckledyHen · 21/01/2019 18:31

Did somebody say Mulberry :) I’m a big fan of old school Mulberry and have a collection of 16 oldies - mainly bought pre loved , including 2 Roxannes and a beautiful Tobacco Effie . The leather is amazing .
I have added a long strap to an Oak Ledbury also against Mulberry advice and it’s so much more versatile.

SoyYo · 21/01/2019 18:57

Argh just lost a post!
I was going to say I also own a Mulberry no idea what it’s called (see pic) but it’s virtually indestructible and I’d buy more if they weren’t so ££

@laska Great Dylon project! Love the Faces T (and hope the boots are fab)

@talisin you look great in your selfies Smile lovely jumper

@MrsC thank you for feedback on Hush itchy stripy jumper. I shan’t bother I have my eye on other non Hush bargains now

SoyYo · 21/01/2019 18:57

This is my Black Mulberry

Hushistas watching the snow fall
SoyYo · 21/01/2019 19:03

@gin you’ve reminded me I need to book a pedi (useless at toe nail painting it’s the only “beauty treatment” I have regularly). On the nail fungal infection the pharmacy is first port of call they should be able to advise suitable ointment?

@soups really hope DD has a positive first session

@cod oh shame about the dinosaur jumper! I loved the look of it in the pics you shared...totally agree on Mulberry mine is used and abused on a regular basis Wink

wearenotacodfish · 21/01/2019 19:08

@SoyYo mine is so used and abused it's on it's way to puppy training classes with me. Yours looks like a Bayswater.

SoyYo · 21/01/2019 19:11

Ah yes thanks codfish that’s the name! Enjoy your puppy training class

SpeckledyHen · 21/01/2019 19:58

soyo very lovely East West Bayswater .

SpeckledyHen · 21/01/2019 19:59

Oops sorry SoyYo

Talisin · 21/01/2019 20:13

Many thanks for the kind words, ladies.

I love Mulberry and own an oak Alexa, bought in the sale three years ago right before they discontinued them. I’d love a classic Baywater in wine or black one day but unless I win the lottery (which would mean remembering to actually play the lottery) it’s a bit of a pipe dream.

SpeckledyHen · 21/01/2019 20:23

Talisin Labels Most Wanted have a lovely black antique glacé heritage Bayswater for sale . They are one of the most highly rated resellers in the bag world :) (it’s not me btw )

Talisin · 21/01/2019 20:32

@SpeckledyHen Oh that’s gorgeous but sadly I do not have a spare £350 at this time of the year. I will keep an eye on that site for later on though.

Laska2Meryls · 21/01/2019 20:52

Another good place highly recommended is NPNbags They have a few Bayswaters in and also a gorgeous tan Alexa at the moment but still too expensive for me [sad}

Laska2Meryls · 21/01/2019 21:14

We are all a bit quietthere.. Is it because his new Hush offer is a bit rubbish? Or are we all a bit spent out/saving/worried about the Brexit/fukxit?... I'm missing the chat!! if we ar enot Hushing , where are we looking?

neveradullmoment99 · 21/01/2019 21:43

I feel a little sad that the hush selection is so rubbish @laska. I think there isn't much to chat about because of it. I sent the grey Samantha trousers back today. Also ordered some stuff from Toast but its all going back although the velvet skirt is absolutely bloody gorgeous but its just too dressy for me.
