They look good @fuzzy, great colour too 👍 should go with lots of things.

justilou1 · 19/01/2019 23:46

@fuzzy I live in sandals like that at the moment. They go with everything, they’re comfy and nobody’s called me Jesus like they did last year. (Boho moment - it does suit the climate here, but rather swamps my less than willowy figure.). Meanwhile, those sandals can be interpreted in so many ways, I say go for it!

Ellapaella · 20/01/2019 11:54

Just popping in to say if anyone is a trainer fan check out Boden's collection - they have some beauts! I may even be tempted to order some even though history tells me Boden shoes are usually too narrow for my wide flippers.

Ellapaella · 20/01/2019 11:54

These

Ellapaella · 20/01/2019 11:55

Also love Theseones

FuzzyCustard · 20/01/2019 17:47

Thank you lovelies!

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 17:55

Well this is a surprise! New dye project only the dye I bought was bright pink!! ( Looks like it was mislabeled.. ) but you know what? I really like it ! This is in electric light just out of the machine. So it may dry a little lighter..

This is the Faces T thinking I might now get another one now and do it in in teal ...

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 18:56

@SoyYo I bought the Ryder jumper but my God it was the itchiest thing I've ever tried on so had to send it back. Also comes up really big.

Nice to find the thread again! I had little success in the sale and I am going to say I am really disappointed with the new drop. There isn't a single thing I'd buy. That has never happened Sad. I did manage to nab a wide relaxed V top in black in a size down which was brilliant, it's been out of stock for ages. I hope they do more of those in a wider range of colours, the green is fabulous. I have sold loads of stuff so have a bit of cash to treat myself after I've paid for my DS's birthday presents. Will wait now for the next drop and see what they have.

@Ellapaella I saw on the other thread you are unwell, I just wanted to send good wishes to you Flowers

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 19:27

Hello MrsC good to hear from you .. Yes I remember trying the Ryder jumper earlier on in the year..definitely mega tchy I think it was the alpaca wool - was more like mohair I thought

Right.. I have decided not to get another faces T after all, but have ordered this one instead ...I might have a go at dying that one a light teal ..

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 19:39

Hi @Laska Smile. Yes, I agree, it was the wool, unbearable. A few reviewers said the same. I love that you colour change things, I do this a lot too, love a bit of Dylon! Also so useful for refreshing colours, I've just bought a navy to sort out a Topshop sweatshirt that I love and my navy Amie's.

I am almost scared to admit this, but I have also "altered" a hush bag. I got the Lucille for Christmas. I LOVE the bag, but didn't like the chains, it was too short to wear across body too. However, the leather strap clipped off so you could make it a grab bag too. So...I had the chains removed, bought a long clip on strap and it's now perfect. I will use it for years. I have kept the short clip on leather strap for when I don't need a cross body bag. I think that's perfectly OK to do and I wish Hush would sell straps more often, the star one is no longer available, but would love a silver star version. I've also got the Emilie for days when I need to carry a lot and I bought an extra long strap for that too. It makes them work much better and more versatile!

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 19:50

MrsC I have an old Mulberry Effie bag that DH bought me about 14yrs ago. It sat unused for several years because the original strap had stretched so much in its first year of use because i insisted on using it as a shoulder bag and in the rain also ! .. But finally last year so I got a new strap made for it! (in a long length).. The S&B handbag mavens would probably insist that I have 'ruined' a genuine Mulberry , but I care not! its now a usable bag (in fact i use it pretty much everyday now)..

I was a bit surprised at the orange, especially as it was a Dylon pink dye, so has to have been mislabeled, but im glad actaullly.. The T shirt looks really great in orange I think.. I never wear white, I am too pale skinned for white , and too messy!!

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 19:57

I am really disappointed in the new stuff also. Quite honestly there isnt a single thing I think i would rush to order .. (anyway I am having fun again with Dylon and the cheapies in the old season now! )

I have ordered these though More expensive than the Hush Alfords!! (but had to get the 6 again as 5 oos everywhere .. hoping they will not be too big as Carvela shoes do come up small I have found previously )

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 20:18

Ahh Laska that sounds great, it's much better to have something lovely you're going to use than let it sit doing nothing! Who cares what anybody else thinks? I miss my Mulberry bags. I had to sell them when my husband left, it will always sting! One day I might have another Smile.

I think the orange looks great too, really pretty and makes far more sense to do that if you're going to get a lot of wear! Perfect summer colour. The boots are fabulous...again, worth spending on and they end up working out cheap if you go on "per wear" cost. Shoes/boots are worth investing in I think! I'm going to post a pic of my bag in a minute!

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 20:26

My Lucille...

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 20:27

As you can see it is a Very, very vintage Mulberry! They don't make 'em like this any moreGrin

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 20:31

Yes , I agree , the Lucille far better with that strap Mrs C. My bag had a really short strap originally , quite useless really,

Shame you had to sell yoursSad ...this is the only one I have ever had, but I love it as I like a 'saddle bag' for everyday use (but I wouldn't have minded an Alexa for 'posh' days if I could have ever afforded one ).

Where is everyone else , I wonder? (.is there something good on the telly? )

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 20:33

Oh that's a beauty! Gosh, hang on to that, sod the strap, it's a classic! I had a Roxanne and a couple of Anthony cross body bags. I was utterly gutted to have to sell them but I had no choice at the time. I also had a Chloe Paddington that went along with them *sobs.

So, I'll stick with my trusty Kiplings and my two gorgeous Hush bags..not all bad!

Laska2Meryls · 20/01/2019 20:41

It gets treated abominably though, used daily in all weathers and scuffed around in the car and under my desk.. but its an old Darwin leather one so is forgiving ( except the strap)..

Such a shame MrsC, hopefully one day you can replace them.. there are a few decent places that sell genuine second hand if you look at the S&B bag threads ..

I have a few Fossil bags that I like also for the summer .. , they are still a good quality make I think and not too expensive .. Also a Radley bucket bag in navy which gets an outing regularly

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 20:49

Ah yes, it's all in the leather...it's doing what it's supposed to...I have long stopped saving things and treating things as "for best", they are meant to be used and worn and indeed with Mulberry bags, the more worn the better I think! Once I get out of this horrible hole my ex left me in, I will hopefully be earning properly again and be able to have nice things again, I will definitely have another Mulberry! Oh I forgot about my Fossils, yes I have a couple of them too, a black one and a tan...they are gorgeous but I do find them uncomfortably heavy at times, although amazing quality leather and I love the silver hardware too.

noodlezoodle · 20/01/2019 22:00

Uh oh ella, I think I'm going to have to buy those navy/gold/white Boden trainers, they must be mine! Putting them in my shopping cart for a few days in the hope that they might send me a discount code...

neveradullmoment99 · 20/01/2019 22:40

I have the Lucile and its a geat bag @Mrs C. I think its versatile to change the straps. I bought a strap from amazon and altered another bag. Its a great idea.
I have to confess to buying the other star bag too in the sale. [ The smaller one that I returned around about my birthday.] Its small but its lovely although the magnet on it is rubbish but at the discount it seemed ok price wise.

I ordered the Samantha trousers in the sale but Im not sure about them. They are kind of ruched at the bottom and think they look a bit frumpy on me. Will try again and see just to be sure. I also ordered a black sale dress which I like and the wool one in burgundy. Its lovely and know that I will wear it as I have the grey one and wear It frequently.
I love those boots @Laska but I really cant justify any more!!!
I did buy a pair of trainers from mandmdirect. They are saucony retro ones. Quite nice for the price but would not have paid full price for them. Reduced from £70 odd quid to 29!

GinandGingerBeer · 20/01/2019 22:46

T shirt looks fab @laska. Love it!
Imagine if you'd bought the dye because you were going to an event where you had to wear pink and it came out orange though 😂I'm thinking back to when I did race for life with my mum after we lost my sister and I dyed some stuff pink to run walk in. Grin
I've never had a mulberry Envy@TheFormidableMrsC, I do remember your threads, hope that's ok to say on here. You had balls of steel. Grin Wine

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/01/2019 23:08

@GinandGingerBeer OMG do you? Of course it's OK to say! I hope it's also OK to say that things remain utterly shit, the OW is clearly mentally ill and I am embarrassed at the state of my ex-h. I am OK, largely, but wish I could say that things are normal...but they're not. Anyway, as you say, that's a whole other thread! Onwards....

neveradullmoment99 · 20/01/2019 23:30

I remember those threads too!!!
