Quick hello as I’m having a busy workday and lots of calls.
justilou thank you I do hope you get your health sorted too. We all seem to be going through personal challenges this year but I’m always positive we will pull through. Hope your ring looks beautiful when you get it back.
laska thank you Hush friend for your mail
cherries you’re doing everything I mean everything in your power to make the outcome of your surgery successful and so it will be Flowers
Btw yes I think you need to return for exchange the trainers, looks from the photo the sole is becoming detached...

No chance to check Hush website but got some new sale parcels today and it’s a yeayyy from me. Super pleased! I’ll report later with photos as I have to go back to my laptop for another work call.

Your fashion chat keeps me going.
Thank you and hope you have a good afternoon

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2019 14:12

Soy so glad your hush parcel has cheered you up, will look forward to pics.

TheFormidableMrsC · 05/02/2019 16:34

Hi ladies, just popped by to see what thoughts were on the new collection. I am completely underwhelmed. This has to be the first time I haven't seen a single thing that I've really really wanted. I am amazed to be honest! I notice they've got the wide relaxed tops back in stock in the grey and black and I'd like to replace my two too big ones so I'll e-bay them and try and raise enough with the other bits I've put on for sale. Other than that, nothing at all grabs me Sad

SoyYo · 05/02/2019 16:40

Still not time to check out the new Hush collection but sounds underwhelming...
So as promised before the light goes my latest Hush sale parcel which with the additional 10% off truly bargainous
First the Devore skirt, I put a plain black cashmere jumper, I love it in RL will only wear on nights out but don’t want to part with it as I love the fabric and already returned the camisole and scarf in same fabric...
Yeay or nay?

Then a starry v neck jumper which was only in stock in S when I usually need M...again really nice and soft and do you think it’s too neat?
I just threw on with old black jeans to show you.
And a short pure wool jacket, I totally love this for work...super thick high quality wool and will be a good change from the Black puffa when I don’t want to wear a long coat but need warmth...
Yeay or nay? The double breast is not usually recommended for inverted triangles like me but inclined to keep it feels so cozy and smart

Finally a plain jumper only reason for ordering is the lovely true red (I own very few bright jumpers and returning the Ryder). In RL I’d wear with the check/plain trousers and skirts mainly for work.
This is an M...is it too bulky/round necked for my massive boobs?
Soft and cozy but the only thing I’m not at all sure about despite loving the colour

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2019 16:58

Soy the skirt is really lovely & you look really good in it, I think the stars jumper looks fine as sometimes a neater jumper is handy under jackets, love the jacket as well.
I’m not so keen on the red jumper, it does look fine but I don’t really like red so probably not the best person for an opinion on it.

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2019 17:01

MrsC it looks a bit samey, but do like a couple of the more summery tops & the speckle jumper/jacket expensive though.

NotAnActualSheep · 05/02/2019 17:12

Hello all - realised I've been totally neglecting this thread as it has taken me half an hour to read from where I last posted AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING....

Have to say, I'm with theformidablemrsc - there isn't anything really that I think I neeeeed which is probably just as well. I think I just have this problem with spring/ summer stuff - not just hush...I just can't picture ever getting out of jumpers enough to wear it. I do quite like the cropped jumpsuit with the tigers on, and I may try a santana skirt (missed out last year, as I didn't really discover hush til the summer sale) Blush - but I'm not 100% sure I'm feeling the love for a polyester skirt... And the stripey wide top - but, hey - it's a striped top (and can't say I'm too impressed with how the other ones have washed).

Has mystic-laska got any predictions what will be in the next drop at the end of the month?! Grin

However, I'm really not in any kind of clothes emergency (unless you count potentially needing to get a new wardrobe) even for summer clothes so I'm not panicking yet. I have had a bit of a splurge in the last dregs of toast's sale, and got a couple of summery trousers, a t-shirt and 2 dresses (one looks a bit like I'm auditioning for a role as a monk, but, bizarrely, in a good way with a belt tied round it Grin). And the gorgeous, gorgeous green cords, which fit really well in the next size down, so they are staying too. So as I'm basically going to keep it all, I am not spending anything else Shock (and I bought them in January - so my not-buying-anything-new-in-February is going well so far...5 days in)

Glad you have some sale bargains that make you happy too soy!

Yay to gin trying the boyfriend turn ups. Thought I'd made some kind of faux pas with them. I think they are perfectly decent jeans, and for £18 (I paid the princely sum of £20) you can't go wrong, as long as you (IMO) get rid of the turn ups! I have to say, I also considered the petra skirt - I do have a bit of a thing for that shape of skirt - but I resisted. I'm keeping the hidden star jumper too Grin. It's just too fluffy to send back and Im wearing it now, so i can't really send it back.

I'm liking the chester trainers, though i think cherries may have spotted why they haven't been selling so well (and also never said that hers were doing that too??) If they were the sale price to begin with, fair enough - but £££ trainers shouldn't look like that..! Boooo. They do look nice though.

Flowers for all of you having a hard time at the moment - especially cherries, len and soy. And good luck to soups DD - sounds like she is doing a lot better - and having the fortnight "trial" sounds like a good plan. YY to only doing one A level and the dance if that is all she can manage.

SoyYo · 05/02/2019 17:14

Thanks for the fast feedback melen I agree with you on the red jumper. Shame my hunt for a bright jumper continues but the combination of the thick knit and round neck does actually make me look bigger than I am when you compare it to the neat v neck star jumper and wearing exactly the same otherwise. I don’t need additional bulk for sure!Wink

The jacket looks bigger on me in the photo than in RL and I can balance the bottom half with wider trousers in any case. As I’m so short the crop length is not so cropped on me so that’s good 👍
The skirt I got in a 10 and plenty big enough, just love the fabric!

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2019 17:16

Ooh shoves up on my lonely no spend bench so Not can join me😃

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2019 17:18

Soy I always feel like that about round neck jumpers as well, I feel they make me look shorter.

wearenotacodfish · 05/02/2019 17:20

I think I am going to go for a red Santana skirt I massively regretted not getting the green last year. I also like the Hamilton dress and the side stripe joggers

NotAnActualSheep · 05/02/2019 17:21

ooooh - didn't see all your photos soy - you look great!! The devore skirt looks lovely with the shoes (Your sparkly boots looked fab too, from earlier - don't think I said that!) and i really like the star jumper. Not too neat at all. I also do like the red one (though can't see the neckline clearly if that is what you are concerned about?) - but I do like red! - and i agree it would look lovely with the checked trousers.

I was tempted by that coat too - the reviews were pretty good i remember, and it does look useful and cosy. I think the shape works well on you - though I have to say I'm not 100% sure on it with the jeans - possibly just too much black (if that is such a thing?!). I think it would look lovely with a contrasting bottom though - or possibly even a black skirt - just to provide a different shape.

NotAnActualSheep · 05/02/2019 17:23

Haha - thanks len! I'll bring Gin and a Brew and we can look longingly at everyone else stuff while I wear all of my jumpers at once...

SoyYo · 05/02/2019 17:23

Yes melen on round necks in my case short AND 34FF chest Not a good combo! The only round necks I’ve successfully carried off from Hush are the sweats because the round neck is sooo wide and the black cashmere I’m wearing with the skirt which is boat neck so not the same neckline at all and you can totally see the difference in my rather bad selfies...
@not lovely to read you and thank you for the kind comment. I’m pleased you got some final happy Toast bargains and I’ll join you now in melen “no spend” corner Blush

wearenotacodfish · 05/02/2019 17:26

@SoyYo is that the scarlet crew? I love that star jumper, definitely not too neat.

SoyYo · 05/02/2019 17:27

Lol @not we were typing at the same time.
No I’ll pass on the red jumper for the reasons I gave above, I’m sure I’ll find one eventually that flatters in a nice red.
Totally agree on the jacket doesn’t need skinny black jeans but a wider contrasting trouser shape, that’s what I’ll wear it with mainly for work and I never wear skinny trousers for work (just too lazy to change for selfies). Yes the boots with sparkle are amazing but this is why now I join the “no more spend” crowd!

SoyYo · 05/02/2019 17:29

Yes @cod it’s the Scarlett jumper.
I recommend it’s lovely and soft and was cheap with sale +10% off but beware if you’re top heavy it’ll make you look big

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2019 17:30

Not all donations welcome, still feeling a bit delicate but I’m sure gin will help aid my recovery, oooh Soy yeah loads of room on the no spend bench, I’ve got cushions now as well.

wearenotacodfish · 05/02/2019 17:30

I already have it and live in it
