Oh, that would drive me potty, amethyst- having to look out for snags/ holes etc..I bet the leather leggings cherries got with the big hole were there somewhere... lurking to catch out someone! Presumably with no returns... That's a bit cheeky if they don't point out things that people have raised with them. But at least you had time to check and discard.

Lol fuzzy - that's what I need...a kind of "anti-advert" Oooooh no, don't get that. It's rubbish.

And I really do need to join len on the no spending bench for February. It's getting silly, frankly. And why did soy have to share that Hope site. There's some really nice and unusual stuff there. Turns out that I am an actual sheep, as I've just ordered that lovely shrug, and a couple of the base tee shirts which look good and long (and warm...).

AmethystMoon · 31/01/2019 21:04

Not there were signs everywhere stressing No Returns, Sold As Seen!
Some items were still in their plastic packaging and often had a sticker on saying what was wrong, e.g. hole on front, or stain on shoulder and so on. Others though were just tagless and bagless! Lots had no labels in at all..... I picked up only size S or 12 as they’re my usual sizes and avoided obvious faults. Then I just checked all the seams, for holes/ Stains whilst I shuffled along in the queue. I also did a heavy edit and attempted to tot up how much I’d spent. The items weren’t priced, just paper signs saying £5 tee shirts, £15 dresses, £100 leather jackets and so on. I’d do it again, but I had plenty of time. I saw lots of stressed people who’d filled a bag then saw the queue and had to dump it as they had to be at work or somewhere in Xminutes!

Watch out for a lot of Hush on ebay in the next week... Smile.....

Ooh we have actual snow!! dont get that very often, I think its only on our endof the island (I live in West Wight TwoSoups , not far from the Needles, but right on the other side of the island from Ryde ) . its still coming down and has laid about 2-3cms , but looks like it is turning into sleet now,so will probably be gone in th e morning .

Ella how strange, I really take after my DM's side of the family, they were originally from Sussex, -Hastings/St Leonards area . Some were part of a notorious smuggler gang in the 18/19thC. Got any dodgy ancestors?

Ellapaella · 31/01/2019 21:55

Laska ha ha not sure about dodgy ancestors.. plenty on my Dads side but my Mum's side would never admit to it! 😁

Laska2Meryls · 31/01/2019 22:00

Never I love the checked coat, and the red shoes, see you are wearing the Toast jumper under , are you keeping that ?

Cherries yes!Ilik the hair! , you look kind of different wearing it r though.. perhaps its the red lippy.. But, you look great , and 60m running is utterlyfantastic (I think I may have walked ambled slowly only about half that in the last month)

soy i hope your journey back isnt too fraught (or snowbound, although it looks ok your side of the UK, ..dont forget to show us your new parcels!, ..I will post photos of my buys tomorrow if I can .

justlou I had to look up Samoyed .... you are in Oz arent you? how does a dog like that manage in the heat?

Laska2Meryls · 31/01/2019 22:02

Ella I believe they were called (by the press probably ) as 'The Hole in the Wall Gang' at their trial .. some got transported , I believe and some hung...

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:18

@Laska - I have worn the blue jumper twice now. OMG its so cosy. I absolutely love both the red and the blue. I see the sale is off now and just as well. Think it finished yesterday. I love the coat, going to keep and the shoes. Unsure if I really need the jumper though as I have enough although it is pretty cheap considering. The label is falling off at the back though and its annoying cause its half hanging off so do I stitch, leave or take off. I would be worrying about taking it off as its a slightly loose knit. Definitely not a neat tight knit.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:19

The colours are nice on it but as I said, a bit of a slightly looser stitch at the back when I hold it up to the light. I have a feeling it wont wash well and that it wont last. I have no idea where they thought over £100 was acceptable for that jumper.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:20

*why they thought

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:21

You have sharp eyes to have spotted the toast jumper lol... I was wearing that today and cba to take it off for the try on session! I wouldn't have worn it with the skirt etc.

Laska2Meryls · 31/01/2019 22:26

Ive not really seen my Ryder in the daylight never , It looks nice on I think , but i will have a good look at quality tomorrow when I am home all day ...

I just adore my red.yellow Toast jumper, but also glad I got the (slightly too large) jacquard one I had on above even though it was more expensive and the blue/grey/ Ercu you have .

Have you ever seem Toast on Brand Alleynever?

BTW I predict we shall have the new Hush collection Next Tuesday..

Laska2Meryls · 31/01/2019 22:28

..well I was thinking you might post a photo of it sometime, so I was looking.. Anyway , its gone oos now and surely I must have enough jumpers now anyway

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:31

I will try and post a photo tomorrow just so you can see. Its beautiful. I do love the red but the blue/charcoal and ecru is instantly more wearable. Strange! No idea why.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:34

Why do you predict next Tuesday? I am on a no spend anyway with @melen! My mantra is that I really don't need anything else. The only thing I am after is a long line silk shirt without a collar as I hate collars. Love the toast cotton blue one with the stripes but too pricey atm. John lewis have a lovely one but the colours aren't really that exciting.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:36

this one

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:37

I would like it in silk but the toast one is gorgeous. I love a grandad collar.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 22:38

I think I have seen toast once on brand alley and once on tkmaxx and it was very uninspiring.

Laska2Meryls · 31/01/2019 22:54

Well..... they have had the sale..and they have had the sample sale, and its all on PR shots.. (Also everywhere else seems to have launched their SS.... )

and on the 27th Jan last year I bought the puff sleeve grey sweat dress and the granite green linen T which were in the spring 18 collection... But then I didst buy the Yellow Love sweat, (which I really liked on first sight) until 21st Feb..... Hmmm..so .maybe I am too early .

Laska2Meryls · 31/01/2019 22:59

oh, and they do seem to like Tuesdays for launches I have noticed..

neveradullmoment99 · 01/02/2019 09:18

@Laska - my current beastie (Ivy) is part Alaskan Malamute, part German Shepherd, part Leonberger. (Mostly teddy bear.) She has the big, double-coat and it is better insulated than a regular dog. She is fine. She is a couch potato like me, so not likely to put herself into too many dangerous situations. (Unless there’s chicken or bacon involved.)

ilovecherries · 01/02/2019 12:21

Lots of snow here today. Wearing navy Winona trousers and a Boden cashmere that reminds me of a Wyse London one - Navy with bands of red, coral, yellow and cream round the hem and cuffs.
