Not offended never! Moves never to the top of the "will give kidney in times of emergency" list""

We have a lot of snow here (well a lot for us anyway) so today I am wearing that fabulous combination of jogging bottoms, two fleeces, sheepskin boots and a hat. Indoors. There are no photos of this abomination.

miffy2 · 31/01/2019 18:22

I wore my trusty wide leg trousers in black (must have them 3 years by now) and a polo neck top from Gap. I can wear my Uniqlo thermal leggings under the trousers which is a must this week.

I am really tempted to try both the Ryder jumper in M or L (is it very over-sized? I would be 12 to 14) and the frayed check jacket (the shorter version of the one modelled by never above (love it on you) - how do you like the fabric?

ilovecherries · 31/01/2019 18:25

Mine is a medium, Miffy. I would say that would be fine for you as well.

Fuzzy just watching the news very snowy down in Cornwall, it’s not even snowing here & I am wearing two pairs of socks, vests, jumper, fleecy leggings & a dressing gown so will join you in crimes against fashion.
No good me offering a kidney, have a dodgy heart

FuzzyPuffling · 31/01/2019 18:51

It's about the only time we get on the news "melen". (Apart from shark sightings and jellyfish swarms). Several people I know are stuck. But apparently on the coast (5 miles away) almost no snow. Fortunately we stocked up on food yesterday.

FuzzyPuffling · 31/01/2019 18:53

That red Kensington Hush dress keeps coming up in my feed. I wish it would stop...I really like it but they haven't got it in my size. :(

dontcallmelen · 31/01/2019 18:59

So true Fuzzy the news is very London centric, good you are stocked up though, nothing worse than venturing out in it unless you have to.
I know I’m getting old now as I hate it & afraid of falling over, especially now as on blood thinners & bruise if you at me funny.

dontcallmelen · 31/01/2019 19:00

Duh look I mean ooh those naughty temptress at hush.

FuzzyPuffling · 31/01/2019 19:06

Now the Solitaire dress is coming up on my sidebar and I wanted that but it didn't reduce in price quite enough. STOP IT HUSH.

dontcallmelen · 31/01/2019 19:16

They know what you are thinking Fuzzy be afraid be very afraid😱

NotAnActualSheep · 31/01/2019 19:34

Haha! I know exactly what you mean fuzzy. Those ads are killers when you can't have what they are showing that you "may be interested in"... Though sometimes you get haunted by the "ew...look at this awful dress/shoes" links, which must be costing someone something to advertise to me! Ah well. (TBH, I don't think you're missing much on the solitaire dress. It does look lovely on the model, but I tried it and it didn't really work. Would have needed heels IMO, as it was so long, and that just made it feel a bit Victorian School mistress to me. And not in a good way...). Hope you're managing to stay warm, anyway, and not leave your house (even if you do have to spend time being bombarded with ads). Brrrrrrrr.

never- the coat and shoes look great, and the shoes and Ryder combo! Keep, keep, keep! (Sorry, not helpful, but I really think you'd be able to wear them in lots of different ways).

soy- I'm so glad today went better than yesterday! Yy to a non-productive trip back...though you probably can't do too much aimless-staring-out-of-the-window on Eurostar. (Never been on it Blush but have decided we will do coming back from summer hols, rather than flying. Am (sadly) quite excited).

amethyst- wow, you did get some real bargains! Am jealous of the teal scarf (I got the blue one from the summer sale but really wanted the teal and don't think they ever reduced it) and Ivy. Such good prices!

NotAnActualSheep · 31/01/2019 19:36

Bah...Im also sure that I typed that I loved how Ella had styled the Ryder too, with the Levi's and DMs...but turns out that I hadn't. But I do think that, anyway!

ilovecherries · 31/01/2019 19:46

fuzzy, I wouldn’t grieve the Kensington too much. I had it in navy, had a tear in the shirring, they replaced it, and second one had a rip in a seam.

Soyo your work life sounds pretty hectic, huge respect to you, I think I'd find all that travel pretty exhausting. Hope you get a chance to put your feet up for a bit when you get home. I think you should give the Ryder another go, as far as Hush jumpers go I think this is one of my favourites so far. I think it'll look great with your leather leggings.

FuzzyPuffling · 31/01/2019 20:21

Ah thank you for telling me your stories of "dresses I do not want". You have cured me!

AmethystMoon · 31/01/2019 20:22

Not I got the blue scarf in the summer too! That’s why I grabbed the teal, I love my blue scarf, so warm and a really generous size too.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 20:25

Strangely I am sure @Ella that soyo had the blue scarf like Amethyst said and I couldn't wear it as I found it so itchy. I don't find the ryder jumper that bad but she finds it really itchy. So strange!!

AmethystMoon · 31/01/2019 20:26

Not oops posted too soon.... I got the black Ivy in the sale online and dithered so long I missed the dark green one Hmm
I only saw the one I found, so maybe the dark green one there today was an odd return?

There were a LOT of seconds there. That was the biggest issue. I had to check every item soooo carefully......which to be fair kept me occupied in a long queue Grin
I think it was all of their faulty returns too, lots of snags, holes, stains and so on.

AmethystMoon · 31/01/2019 20:27

Never the scarf is pure Merino wool, which I know some people can’t bear due to itchiness....is the jumper wool too?

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 20:29

Some of the stuff on this thread would have been in there then like cherries Kensington and a few other things that people have had!

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 20:30

The jumper has wool in it, yes. It would be itchy without something under it but its strangely not that bad. I am usually fine with merino but could not bare that scarf.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 20:33

I am especially sensitive to wool around my neck though. Not cashmere however!!!

Ellapaella · 31/01/2019 20:39

Same here.. for example anything with mohair drives me insane, my eyes go bright red and gritty and I'm itchy all over. However I'm fine with cashmere and wool/cotton mix and merino for some reason.
The Ryder is fine on me too, not at all itchy.

Ellapaella · 31/01/2019 20:40

And Angora is terrible for me too.
My eldest DC is allergic to lanolin, he can't go near anything with it after swelling up like a beach ball when I put some E45 cream in his skin when he was small.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/01/2019 20:49

The ryder is 48%wool.
