Never tis so bloomin uncalled for, really annoys me that they think it’s ok to make someone feel even worse, I think you are doing the right thing staying in & keeping warm especially with the weather that’s expected over the next few days.
Soy 😱 that could be a fun trip, let’s hope you don’t have to go down the private route shouldn’t bloody have too (but totally understand if you do), if only this shower would understand the need for good accessible mental health services & how in the long run it saves money makes me so cross.

ilovecherries · 28/01/2019 17:00

Don’t worry about it never, if you are sick, you’re sick. About 12 years ago I struggled in with flu, got sicker and sicker, and ended up in hospital with pneumonia, and off work for 3 months, I was so weak after. Ok, it might have happened anyway, but I’m sure I didn’t help myself.

Soy, I LOVE the boots.

Well whoever it was who was curt with you @never should be sent a germ sandwich for their lunch. See how they like feeling lousy!
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Take the rest of the week off Smile
Dr Gin.

dontcallmelen · 28/01/2019 17:17

Yy Gin every jobsworth should get a germ sandwich with a side order of out of date antibacterial handwash.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/01/2019 17:22

Grin Grin at germ sandwich. I have wished... It was probably those children too. A hazard of the job at this time of the year.
Thanks for your support. It helps :)

neveradullmoment99 · 28/01/2019 17:23

I agree, they should honestly get a life. Life is too short. we work to live not live to work!

neveradullmoment99 · 28/01/2019 17:24

It made me laugh both @melen and @gin!
Thanks x

SoyYo · 28/01/2019 17:48

Hear Hear @melen and @gin!
👏👏👏 Grin

I have to go to my weekly Pilates class soon and it’s so cold I don’t want to! Plus I’ve had to switch to the hardcore advanced Monday class due to the trip to Paris this week which is definitely not the slackers at Pilates class I prefer Hmm
Oh well I’ll think of my abs! Wish me luck 💪

dontcallmelen · 28/01/2019 17:52

Ooh hardcore Soy as I’m now a Doctor, I prescribe bath & wine to aid recovery.

whiskyremorse · 28/01/2019 18:34

Soy that cashmere shrug is gorgeous. I've not come across that brand before, would you recommend? Sitting on my hands as it is sample sale week 😱

wearenotacodfish · 28/01/2019 19:02

@never whoever sent you a curt message should know better, classrooms are germ factories and teaching is the worst when you don't feel 100%. I agree with the gin and bath suggestion.

It's payday today but I need to be good, plus it's cold and dark so I'm not really inspired. Puppy training for us tonight and I can't be bothered.

FuzzyPuffling · 28/01/2019 19:18

Love the "germ sandwich". I could produce those as Dh is still snottering.

dontcallmelen · 28/01/2019 20:01

Same here Fuzzy & he is soooo noisy, he’s given me a headache.

SoyYo · 28/01/2019 20:27

Phew! The slacker survived the Pilates class (just) 😅

@whiskey this is my third order in as many years from Hope. They’re super fast at delivering and refunds and if you sign up for mails you’ll get 15% off your first order (full price only). And therein lies the problem: it’s overpriced EXCEPT at sale time.
And to get free P&P you need to spend £100 (but always free returns regardless of order value).
I really like the shrug and inclined to keep as a throw on layer when I’m homeworking to replace the various knackered wraps I wear when it’s freezing...at £45 it’s bargainous and I’d say it’s more of a Gassato weight cashmere, warm but super light.
The only reason I hesitated was because being a short arse the back is down below my knees 😂 but on the + side it is not bulky.
I’ll take a photo tomorrow so you can see in RL

Laska2Meryls · 28/01/2019 21:00

just jumping back onto the thread.. I seriously slept hardly at all, last night .Went to bed before 11 and tossed and turned before finally putting my light back on to read at 2am .until about 4. I think I was thinking too much about work stuff that i had to be in for today.. - Mondays is no longer one of my contracted working days , but we are moving office right now and I had yo go in to change laptop and get logged into new system .. Also I had a 1-1 scheduled with boss because i had raised some work probs (and might have thrown toys out of pram last week a bit in a ranty email to him) sot hat was on my mond ..(That went fine though, he agreed with my view of situation.

But I am so tired, I have been flagging for some hours now but am desperately trying to not go to bed before 9.30 (oh good, thats soon) .. but I have nothing to report.. back tomorrow hopefully rested ..

Huffthepuff · 28/01/2019 21:32

Love the glitter boots @SoyYo! I'd be sorely tempted if there were any 5s left in the black. Probably for the best there aren't so I don't have to talk myself out of it! And the shrug cardigan. Gorgeous and totally versatile. Looking forward to seeing photo

Get well soon @neveradullmoment99

Yy to those of you who had trouble sleeping yesterday. I've been in a trance all day and am going to bed now to try and get back to normal. Laska and Cherries I hope you get a better night tonight Thanks

neveradullmoment99 · 28/01/2019 21:55

Thanks @huffthepuff.
We must all have been awake at the same time too. I woke up with my dh snoring at around 2am and that was it for me. Like you laska, tossing and turning and coughing my lungs out and stressing about phoning in sick despite feeling so shite. Was up most of the night and then felt even worse at 7am when it was time to wake everyone up for school. Lemsip helped ha ha....
Fell asleep again for an hour or so and woke up with a red cheek and feeling warm with my temperature creeping up a bit. Feel a bit better after a glass or water. We have nothing in the house atm food wise too. Its amazing how everything grinds to a halt when im not well. My dh is busy with his work and I am thinking about what on earth we will do for lunches etc because I cant go out atm. Its so hard.

GinandGingerBeer · 28/01/2019 22:12

Oh the grey hidden star arrived today, had a quick try on, its lovely, soft, quite big (got it in an M but I'm happy with it being big) I had a black vest on under it and was covered in grey fluff after, think it's gonna be a bit of a shedder until it's washed.

All the bad vibes poor old germ sandwich has received, I predict they're going to be coming down with it by Thursday Wink

Have a good nights sleep everyone. I've just got in bed, always change it on a Monday evening as my first working day is a Tuesday so it always makes me feel more relaxed getting into clean sheets.
Audio books are my saviour, currently listening to graham Norton's.
He sounds like my Irish nanan and it sends me right off to sleep Grin

dontcallmelen · 29/01/2019 09:18

Hoping everyone had a better nights sleep & Never you feel a bit better, I woke up at about 3am had a mad dream about brexit no food in the shops & all we had in the cupboard was one tin of tomato soup.
Aww I love Graham Norton Gin yy Irish Nana me too.

SoyYo · 29/01/2019 10:55

Hi everyone thanks again for the glitter love fingers crossed they fit my E width feet I’m hopeful from the reviews.
I’m a total mess today homeworking and wearing the new cashmere shrug with zebra joggers and long Hush L/L T (this is more like a mini dress on me and tbh would look better with leggings) so forgive the complete lack of styling but so you get the idea. It’s so light and warm I’m keeping even if the volume/length makes me look like a round midget. Smile

@melen noooo! Bloody Brexshite giving you nightmares. Let’s hope Parliament today does damage limitation and votes down a no deal scenario 🙏 It’s depressing atm.
@gin you did make me Grin with the germ sandwich vibes.

Funnily I’m sleeping like a log atm. In fact far more than usual I put it down to the lack of sunshine/winter I definitely have hibernating tendencies this time of year and a completely different person from the “summer SoyYo”.

I’ll check in again later. Hope the lurgae is a bit less bothersome today @never.

Ooh Soy love the cashmere shrug, very cosy & you do not look like a round midget at all, just super comfy, yy 🙏🏻 that parliament will do the right thing today.

Laska2Meryls · 29/01/2019 13:19

eBay Hush leather leggings arrived picked them up on way to work and just tried them on on look ( too excited to wait) . They are fab! Really pleased.. Smile.

SoyYo · 29/01/2019 13:39

Great news @laska!
Thank You melen

Ellapaella · 29/01/2019 13:46

Love the shrug Soyo
Hope everyone is feeling better today Thanks
I've just come back from having my MRI scan, strange experience, quite claustrophobic initially but once I got used to it it was ok, in fact quite relaxing. I think the staff may hate me though as I made them put radio 4 on in the background to listen to as the music choices were crap (Will Young or Busted!!).
Came home to find my Ryder jumper has been delivered, I'm very pleased with this but expect it to be a washing nightmare. I will be avoiding washing this as much as possible. Keeping because for £35 it is a nice jumper. Would not have spent £110.
So who's doing the sample sales tomorrow?

Ellapaella · 29/01/2019 13:48

Jumper
