New thread. My nerve was cracking!

Wearing the Ryder jumper today, which I picked up in JL on Friday. I really like it for the price (£35), I’d never have paid £110 for it! It’s cosy and comfortable and while not supersoft, it’s not at all itchy on top of heatgen. Wearing an M

I have got it too. Its a lovely jumper for £35 but I agree cherries, not worth £110 no way. Most I would pay for it is £55. It looks good on you.

Yes a lot if it is similar , but it has really been so for some time I think. I thought that the blue shirt looked familiar also never but mine has stars, I am wondering (i cant view the photo clearly enough when it is enlarged to see ) if this years has hearts , as they seem to be doing hearts on other things ..

So I am in a dilemma (of my own making here().. the Celt and co jumpers are fabulous both should be keepers - the charcoal one definitely is , and the burgundy is also gorgeous I would really like to keep that also .

The JL ochre jumper is also lovely , but it is really a little short ..but its so so soft and I really want to keep it ,( but I am going to have to send it back again I think, its fine with a skirt , but I think oo boxy with jeans really )..

The fact is I cannot afford it all ,so choices do have to be made.. (and there's another Toast jumper and the ebay legging which were £££ coming as you know!!) . Oh , I shouldn't have ordered it all!

Purple Moshulu boots are going back with no regrets though , they are too wide for my feet..

You tried that Ochre cashmere chunky JL jumper didnt you cherries? Did you keep it?

Never I am also now also wondering about the Alfords. They feel a bit hard and unforgiving on the skin above the ankles and back tendon as I walk in them (in the house only of course so far) , were yours? and have they softened now?

Also are they noisy on the pavement, they are a bit on my laminate floors ?

If the ochre jumper isn't the shape you want laska, return it.

I don't have a problem with noise. Mine have stretched a bit. I haven't worn them for a few days but I do like them.

No, they are definitely not noisy outside. I have laminate floors but they just make a shoe type noise, nothing extra :)

Laska which would you get more wear from? Are they the same style? I love burgundy.

Does anyone have the Paloma jumper? Would you recommend?

I am definitely keeping both the Celt jumpers - they are just lovely..so yes I am sealing up the JL ochre to go back it really needs to be 2in longer and it would be perfect..

I am immune to the Ryder jumper though, if i keep any other it will be the Toast one which is coming ( although that also may be a bit short). Never are you keeping the blue/white Toast one? and are you feeling a better today ?

....and like a mad lady I have just put plastic bags over my Alford boots and have just walked up and down my driveway!! its ok, Its dark , and we are all a bit bonkers here in rural Wight ..
Tbh they do sound a bit 'clacky' I can get embarrassed wearing clacky shoes as i feel that everyone is looking at me.. (.. or maybe I've seem too many Hitchcock films.). however they are really nice boots..

So talk to me about 'clacky' shoes people. Do they bother you? do you notice when others are wearing them

I decided it was a tad too short for me, laska. I loved it, and was tempted by a size up to get more length, but then it was swamping me on the shoulders a bit.

I don’t know about clacky asi can’t wearhard soles, but I have a pair of Fly boots and a pair of gazelles that squeak so loudly they drive me bonkers.

@ellapaella love the Hush Phoebe jumper, looks like a much nicer colour than on the website. What size did you go for?

Laska lol at clacks shoes, I must admit it would drive me nuts I have a pair of brogues that make a funny noise & it’s does put me off wearing them.
We have just booked a week in Ibiza in June, going with my two cousins & wives, unfortunately I think I’m a bit to old for the clubbing scene but will be good fun & looking forward to a break especially after feeling so blinkin unwell this last week or so & if I carry on being good for a few more weeks I will be able to afford some new summer clothes yippee 😄

Its lovely and would love to keep it but like you Laska I have ordered too many things and feel I have definitely overspend so it might be a choice between the red shoes, jumper from toast and stripey jumper from hush. Going to think about it. I love the red shoes but not sure how much I would actually wear them. They are gorgeous though. I think I would wear the jumpers more.

I once had to return a pair of boots because they squeaked and wouldn't stop. It started when it rained. Honestly they were SO loud. They returned them without issue.

I might be the only person who's excited to hear that this year's collection might be similar to last year's, because I missed out on the greek widow dress and am really hoping they do it again this year! You all looked so fab in yours.

Alford boots are going back..they are lovely but I really hate clacky shoes , I have a pair that I dont wear much in the car right now which I have been meaning to take in for resoling all week , so what am I thinking about buying more?

JL jumper and Moshulu boots packed to go also . This means that so far I am just keeping the celt jumpers (I am definitely keeping them , they are just fab and just the right length to look good with the leather leggings ). ..

Len sounds great , we have our usual holiday 'home ' in Greece booked . but this will really probably have to be our last time renting it . as DH retiring and I intend to at end of year.. its lovely but v expensive..

never the red shoes are fab,...

Also if this 61yr old is going out in the street in leather leggings I dont want to draw attention to the fact with noisy boots !!

@twosoups1972 I got the small which is a good fit. I spilt gravy on it at teatime so put it in the wash on a wool wash and it's come out perfectly. It's 50:50 cotton/wool. Looks much nicer in RL than on website.

@Laska2Meryls you can buy leather softening spray to loosen up the heels of your Alford boots. I've bought some for my DM's and it's working well.

Well I think I am going to keep the toast blue/ecru/charcoal jumper. Its gorgeous and will look great with blue denim. The red one isn't as good with the blue denim and I think it is amazing quality. Think I am going to return the hush stripey jumper, not sure about the shoes although I do love them.
