On a complete aside - why do I always look fore-shortened in mirror selfies? My legs are actually quite long, but the selfie always makes me look 4 inches shorter than I am. The mirror is this rented house is fixed to the wall - at home, I have one on a swivel. So I can't do much with the mirror, but is there anything I could do with the phone?

In a dramatic plot twist I kept the dinosaur cardigan and I'm wearing it with a pleated leopard print skirt today. OH raised his eyebrows but year 7 and I think I look awesome.

Also I mist tidy my dressing room (spare room where I keep all my make up and get dressed, I'm not fancy) so I can share photos.

I am so jealous of those of you going to the sample sale but excited to see your finds.

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 13:40

an in another dramatic plot twist . I just bought some Hush black leather leggings on ebay (really hoping they will be ok ) .....

dontcallmelen · 25/01/2019 13:45

😱

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 13:48

No!! dont be shocked len! .. I know its a bit of a gamble... but I can always resell If not e .. (they will be fine - hopes)

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 13:50

I will have to now send back some of those jumpers and boots wont I? (possibly all except the Alfords, Ill be def keeping them and most likely the charcoal Celt one )
Def cant afford it all..

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 13:53

Its Cherries fault ( she looks so darn good in hers I am aspiring sheep-like to be her ).. Am fasting today .. LC dinner planned .

wearenotacodfish · 25/01/2019 14:07

@Laska2Meryls were they an eBay bargain?

NotAnActualSheep · 25/01/2019 14:11

Lol Laska! Go you! Think of it as saving money you would have spent getting to the sample sale, getting lunch etc, and impulse buys while there! I really hope you like them, and agree cherries looks amazing in the outfit with the camel tunic. I love that geometric toast jumper by the way. Was kind of eyeing that up myself, but thought that would just be silly. Looks lovely over a shirt as they have styled it on the website.

Incidentally, I know exactly what you mean, cherries about legs looking half their actual length in mirror selfies... no idea how to stop that. Any tips welcome, though (in fact, generally...I hate all photos of me...I think I look like an escapee from a prison most of the time). Though, if it makes you feel any better, I don't think your photos make you look odd at all!

codfish- yay for your outfit!. Sounds brilliant, and if you can get year 7 onside, I think you've made it...

neveradullmoment99 · 25/01/2019 14:20

Well if you can afford it, why not?
It is a bit risky buying from ebay but since you have a pair already, I am sure they will be fine.
I have spent way too much myself. Even although the blue jumper from toast is a bargain it is still money I could do without spending. Going to sell some stuff to offset the balance.
Good on you fasting laska. I just cant do it until my son, wife and bubs go. So onward for fasting and health from Monday. I really need to but have been kind to myself since you posted your wise words.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/01/2019 14:22

and tbh, I just don't know what the hell is going on with my chest. I feel I have gone up a cup size. Is this the menopause? I really feel like chopping them off!!

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 14:24

codfish they were not that cheap as I agreed a BIN price with the seller , but I tracked some others first and I think these are a fair price as hardly worn and really good condition she said .. Tbh I'll only really know if they were a bargain when they arrive!! (fingers crossed hard)..

If they are not as described there is always the ebay refund process or I can resell if just too small (or too big , not likely , they are 10s same as my others )

Yes!! Not that's an excellent way to look a it , once I had paid ferry and train fares, and lunch etc , plus whatever else I may have picked up.. Why, I will have actually saved money (and stress) ! Grin

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 14:28

never existing largish boobs + menopause, was a nightmare for me sadly, I definitely went up a cup size. Which reminds me cherries are you going ahead with your op?

ilovecherries · 25/01/2019 14:43

I am Laska. It's fairly soon, but I'm keeping it at secret from everyone except DH and DD till it's over as I'm practically hysterical with fright. On the surgeon's recommendation, I have found a specialist anaesthetist who spent over an hour with me and has been very reassuring after the last guy terrified me. The surgeon has also reframed it slightly as there IS clinical need for this, a good cosmetic outcome is simply a side effect.

But remember Just Fine Never .. And you are..(I had 'weight' moment also this morning.. )

Your family have been staying quite a while now , haven't they? its hard to keep on track when having to cook for guests

dontcallmelen · 25/01/2019 14:45

Laska actually they could turn out to be a real bargain & as you say if not right, can be resold & yy saving time travel etc on sample sale so you have probably saved even more money.
Yup chest enlargement definitely another menopause delight, same happened with me.

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 14:47

Brilliant cherries I am sure you'll be ok..

Id love the same but it would just be cosmetic ..so will just put up with them..

neveradullmoment99 · 25/01/2019 14:48

They have been here for 17 days. They leave tomorrow. Its sad to see them go but I am looking forward to getting things back to normal too.

dontcallmelen · 25/01/2019 14:49

Cherries that’s an excellent way to view surgery, the need is paramount & cosmetic outcome is a bonus of the procedure.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/01/2019 14:51

For now, I tried a band size up and a cup size down. The band is probably a bit loose but the cup is definitely better.
@cherries, sure it will be great once the op is over so maybe look to that rather than dwelling on the operation itself.

ilovecherries · 25/01/2019 14:51

I will probably be lucky (and content), if I end up about a 32F. He says he will go as small as possible, but there are limits and if there is too much removed then maintaining nipples can be difficult because of lack of blood and nerve supply. An F would be about 8 cup sizes and half a stone.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 25/01/2019 14:53

Half a stone!!! wow!!!
A 32E is what I am atm [ or was lol...]

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 14:56

You have such a small band size!, I never get below a 36d, even at my absolute thinnest , I have wide shoulders and ribs . A definite inverted triangle (but with both wobbly belly and boobs atm sadly )

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 14:57

am 36E ATM

Laska2Meryls · 25/01/2019 14:59

..or possibly should be an F as a bit heavier than I like atm (but not for long) . but I am not buying new bras!! ..
