I've missed so much... have been forcing myself to stay away from MN until a work deadline had been got through, as I have been finding it so hard not to fritter away huge amounts of time...anyway, that's it, until the next one.

Ella- as with everyone else, I'm sorry to hear about your news, but glad your appointment went well. My DM had a heart condition diagnosed about 10 years ago, with no other symptoms earlier in life...and those she was getting, was just putting down to getting older, for a year or so! She had an operation and is now absolutely fine (well, apart from getting older...) until she did her back in in the summer... It was a hereditary thing, apparently, and I was tested, but seem OK for now...but it is always at the back of my mind. Flowers and Wine. I'm with the others on the cream jumper BTW. The teal is a gorgeous colour, but the cream will look great going into spring (allegedly) too. Love love the DMs too, and I'm soooo glad you have eventually found some keepers! And the jeans too. What a bargain!

I love the purple moshulu boots Laska (and the jl cashmere - and the funky pink/orange faces dyed tee from pages back...how odd it went that colour) and never's red shoes (and stripey jumper!! Have been so tempted by it in the sale, along with the grey 3D star one, and the blue stripey one (Rosalie?) but I'm not buying any more jumpers...).

Sorry, I can't go back through everyone, as I refuse to sit at the computer any more than I have to... But I wanted to get back onto the thread...

And I'm definitely going to try those cabbage steaks... yum.

Oh yes I forgot to report back on my Hush latest little sale haul:
£5 burgundy tights look very nice, fine quality so keeping even if I can’t be bothered to try on...
Leopard Devore camisole going back. If you have the figure to carry off it’s lovely. Unfortunately I haven’t and although I love the fabric I just know I wouldn’t wear...
The long sleeved grey golden stars T shirt is going back too. I only ordered because it was cheap but it really IS cheap and nasty even at sale price...

Only keeping this t shirt which I had tried on before at full price but returned, it is flattering and a really good deep black so will go with everything. Good value @£12 on the sale:

And the £20 sweatshirt in lovely happy turquoise which will go with everything come Spring. I like it a lot

len I'm glad you are feeling better too, and well done on your 24p! I'm thinking I should do a no spend February, as we've just booked a holiday and it's ShockShock £££ Confused. Blooming Euro seems basically 1:1 with the pound at the moment (I'm v behind the times I know...). But I'm assuming it will get worse in March, so wanted to book it now... Sad

Sorry the camisole didn't work for you soy. It looks so lovely. And glad you've decided to go for the red shoes and stripey jumper too! I think the shoes would look great with those checked trousers.

I ordered the boyfriend turn up jeans for £20 in the further reductions. I hate the turnups (not a promising start...) but if you fold those down, and just roll them up like normal people would do, they are really nice! I wouldn't call them a boyfriend fit on my sizeable bottom, anyway but they are a nice straight legged jean. And cheap... I also tried the Rosalie handbag, which is also a bargain. I thought it might be a bit bulky, but actually, when not held by a model, the proportions are quite nice. I need to try it with things in, but I think I'll keep that too. Oh, and toast has got some further reductions, so I'm trying those lovely green cord trousers again now they are £60. and another jumper...a lilac lambswool one which is a v pretty colour and reduced to £38 The lovely Paisley one never and Laska have is reduced further too, if anyone's interested (sorry, you two... but I think you have got your money's worth from it at the higher price!!)

@SoyYo Glad you found the stripey Ryder OK, I think I am perhaps a bit sensitive with wooly things, some are better than others. I couldn't have tolerated that one at all. It is a beauty though, the colours are so vibrant.

I ordered the pale pink big love jumper today, I have before but couldn't justify the price and have had no success with the sale so far. It's half price now and non-itchy and soft. I will still be able to wear that in the Spring and it will pair well with my charcoal Amie's. I have used some of my clothes sale funds so it's guilt and cost free essentially Hmm. I think I've justified it enough! Grin

Anyone who’s going to go to the sample sale, two pieces of advice: Do not wear a short skirt - you will be bending over rumaging under tables a lot of the time. Do however wear a longer skirt, preferably with an elastic waist (Marina would be perfect) in case you want to try something like leather leggings on as there will be nowhere to change in private.

Last year I wore a vest and leggings under a skirt and jumper, which meant I could get undressed without really getting undressed, IYKWIM. And I did it last year with a child in tow too - fortunately said child is now at school, which will make it a far more pleasant experience!

There's info about the sample sale here. Some excellent tips there talisin and queen! I'm rather jealous of those of you able to make it - but also - it sounds rather - um - hectic?! Hope you manage some bargains, anyway.

laska - I know - that jumper has been hugely reduced in a short period of time! But it has obviously got a lot of admirers as your gorgeous colour-way sold out so quickly (I'm sure there were a couple of sizes of the red in stock when I first saw it last night).

formidable - that is a lovely jumper - and, as you say - basically free Grin. Though no need to justify spending money on jumpers, ever! You I can never have too many jumpers, apparently... It will look really good going into spring too, when it feels a bit brighter, but is still flipping freezing...

I’ve decided if I’m keeping them never (which it appears I am), then they deserve to be worn to death. I find them very warm and comfy so have decided they need to be worn at least 20 times before Spring. At the moment it’s cold enough to wear fine heatgen leggings under them, so unless I manage to spill something on them, don’t need to worry too much about hygiene aspect other than letting them air.

The info on the crowds at the sample sale sound quite scary.. Im not that great in crowds..

@Laska2Meryls I got a burgundy pair in the sample sale last year. Down to £100 as a few stitches had come out in the waistband. So you may be in luck!

I toyed with going to the sample sale, but decided I would need to spend an awful lot to offset the cost of the travel. I am still tempted though, with my OAP pass and all. ;)
