Ooh I forgot to tell you in my last Paris work trip I did some people watching at work. It’s a big campus with circa 2,000 employees floating about. And there was this tall slim blonde Parisian (in other words everything I’m not Blush) Totally rocking black leather leggings at work in a totally non challant way...I’m only going to wear mine off duty but there you go she looked really fab in them

SoyYo · 23/01/2019 19:21

Thanks ella that’s good to know if I decide to invest in a RL leather pair in the future as we have (I think) similar wide feet. I’m soooo pleased for you. You finally got your preciousness Smile

SoyYo · 23/01/2019 19:22

Sorry “preciousses” with a Gollum accent Grin

SoyYo · 23/01/2019 19:28

Where’s not and huff? Hope you’re doing okay Hush friends as I haven’t seen you post in a little while and so nice to read you miffy and know you’re still around.
melen you can have ALL our halos to stack on top of yours 😇 and Hope you’re feeling a bit better today.

Ellapaella · 23/01/2019 19:39

@SoyYo the pascals are also a very narrow fit - these are the classic 1460

ilovecherries · 23/01/2019 19:55

My eye test went fine. In fact a lot better than expected. At 50 the optometrist said I had macular degeneration. I was completely devastated and she was basically ‘nothing can be done, just have annual reviews and you can still drive for the moment’. I’ve been ill before every eye test since, but a couple of years ago saw an ophthalmologist who said there was fairly robust evidence around nutrition so since then I’ve eaten at least 7 portions of green veg a day and taken supplements. Today he said although there was still some debris in my eye, my macula actually looked fine, with no signs of degeneration. AND my(albeit fairly weak anyway) prescription has improved. I’m so relieved.

Ella, I love your DMs. Doyouthink the vegan ones are comfier than the leather ones?

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 23/01/2019 19:58

Doh, I see they ARE the leather ones. Not sure why I thought they were vegan. Truly gorgeous.

@Ellapaella I love those boots. That whole outfit looks amazing on you.

Looking forward to the photos of all the recent purchases.

No shopping here I'm in a bit of a midweek slump.

SoyYo · 23/01/2019 20:15

That’s good news cherries! Proof yet again how much a healthy plant based diet really works wonders for our health.
Our DC are both vegan and as a result our red meat consumption is very rare, we probably only have chicken or fish twice a week these days as it’s easier to cook veggie food for everyone.
By the way are you keeping the leather leggings?

Thanks for the tip on the DM style @ella

ilovecherries · 23/01/2019 20:18

Haha, Soy, I’m afraid I’m not vegan. I like my meat. I just build all my meals, including breakfast, round veg first.

Yes, I seem to have kept the leggings ;)

Yeay cherries! Honestly would have been sad to see you return, you look fabulous in them.
And btw the Parisian blonde rocking leather leggings at work was definitely in our age bracket AND she wore heels with them Shock AND still looked good and age/work appropriate

SoyYo · 23/01/2019 20:25

@cherries DH and I are not vegetarian either but because both DC are vegan we’ve ended up by accident rather than design eating a mainly plant based diet...I’m sure it’s helping us!

SoyYo · 23/01/2019 20:32

Yes I think last time we ate red meat was the roast on Xmas day, that’s nearly a month ago! DH does complain a little sometimes at my constant veggie meals but honestly it’s easier to do that than cook separate meals.
I tell him to open a tin of cat food (aka corned beef) if he can’t handle the vegetable overload Grin

Laska2Meryls · 23/01/2019 20:56

What do we think of these boots? Hushistas?.

I may have ordered these in the purple/burgundy as disappointed in the Kurt Geiger ones (none left in my size it seems) ,

Laska2Meryls · 23/01/2019 20:58

We do eat quite a lot of meat and fish tbh.. but also a lot of veggies.. both DH and I like to cook , we very rarely get any bought meals ..

Laska2Meryls · 23/01/2019 21:03

Love fresh seafood, and of course living here we can get it easily ,

Also the island (being 3/4 rural) is really good for good local meat, farm and specialist vegetable growers and fruit as well as having quite a few artisan cheese and dairy producers ,, We are quite spoilt here really..

neveradullmoment99 · 23/01/2019 21:05

@Ella, so pleased you finally got dm's to fit you. I wear mine constantly. They look great on you and so do the jeans. I really like the boots @Laska. Just maybe not sure about the sole on them if I was to be picky. @soyo, I hope the shoes fit. I have quite wide feet but was hoping the square toe might make them a bit more wearable. Soyo, I also ordered the stripey jumper that was seemingly itchy. I ordered it as it is the same shape as the bf jumper but I am sensitive to wool so we will see.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/01/2019 21:06

I can eat seafood. Just don't like it tbh.
I have been eating vegetarian dinners for nearly 17 days as my ds and his wife are both vegetarian so as soyo says, its easier just to cook the same for everyone.

Laska2Meryls · 23/01/2019 21:19

BTW I have kept the Alfords never , I really like them.

Actually the sole on the Moshulu ones is something that drew me to them! , Sort of chunky.. Sadly the KG ones were too big but also quite 'samey of my ols clarks ones.. I quite fancy purple.. well, we shall see.

When do you think e will get a proper Hush spring collection?

Do you feel better for veggie dinners? .. I have been doing low carb but mixed with fasting (and some naughty Wine - for my allowed the carb allowance- Dont tellcherries !! ) . I have already lost a few pounds now, and hoping for that extra stone to be off before log

neveradullmoment99 · 23/01/2019 21:23

I hope its soon.
Good on you for low carbing and fasting. I have been really bad. I cant do it with visitors. Its too difficult to make different meals atm. I really like veg dinners tbh.
I made something my friend recommended called cabbage steaks. OMG they were amazing!!!! Everyone enjoyed them!

neveradullmoment99 · 23/01/2019 21:24

I love the idea of a coloured boot. The alfords are great. They are very comfy and it surprising as they look quite narrow.

Ellapaella · 23/01/2019 21:29

What is a cabbage steak never? I need that recipe!

ilovecherries · 23/01/2019 21:32

I make cauli steaks a lot. Yum yum.
