Do you think these shoes are horrendous?

I don't know what it is about me but I can't wear heels. Despite being in my late 40s, somehow I look like a kid wearing her mum's shoes. Flats don't look good on me because I am only 5.1". I am a size 10, probably a little podgy now after the excesses of the last few weeks, and I just look silly in delicate shoes. I pretty much wear boots all the time but I like wearing ankle trousers, and boots don't look good with those. I am therefore looking for a shoe that gives me height, but without looking like I'm wearing high heels. OP have a look at Paul Green- don't be put off by ordering from Germany and the shoes are very comfortable.

The Gabor ones are horrible imo. Ditto the second ones you linked to. But the first ones are very nice.

Fly are generally comfy, and those new look ones would not be! A platform wedge much better than a traditional wedge for walking in. I also think lots of people are suggesting the kind of shoe op said she felt wrong in! I would give one of the fly styles a go (personally I didn’t like the second one though!).

@justilou1 nope. When you're on your feet for 13 hours a day you wear flat shoes. Obviously.

I agree with a pp, wedges make you look dumpy unless you have legs for miles. But the Fly things are clearly what you want,
so just order and see what theyre like!

Oh OP . Bless you. They’re fugly, but you can always rely on MN to tell you how it is with shoes (I have bitter experience).

What about something like these? Much more trendy than those fly London shoes.

I’ve changed my mind after seeing the latest shoe suggestion, no no no! The original ones were better. Anything that is described as trendy is no!

I have the first pair, in a different colour, and I love them! They are v comfy too
