Completely missed the ball with the previous thread so hope this thread is easy enough to find!

In Sweden CPV has visited a library with Estelle, who continues her reign as Most Engaging Royal Child! She really does seem a delight.

Loved CPV's dress. Hated the nude shoes, they made her legs and disappearing feet look very Barbie

frugalkitty · 23/01/2019 07:49

Agreed Becles and at least her hair was a little softer than usual, I've never understood why she favours a severe scraped back style most of the time.
Blooming you're welcome!

ElspethFlashman · 23/01/2019 08:27

CPV looks great. I love that wine colour. Also hated the shoes. But maybe darker shoes made the whole thing look too dark so she was trying to lighten it up.

Estelle is precious.

Someone on here once said that Estelle is pronounced really differently and that we would struggle to pronounce it and I've always wondered how it sounds!

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/01/2019 08:35

@frugalkitty I think CPV and her husband must have shares in a hair gel factory somewhere WinkGrin

@ElspethFlashman I didn't know that about the pronunciation of Estelle. We used to have someone on these threads from Sweden who gave us the lowdown on how the Bernardottes are regarded at home but I can't remember who it was!

I love how smiley CPV always looks.
If I could have a royal fantasy road trip I'd take CPV, Max & Kate along with me.

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/01/2019 09:34

Max is definitely the royal I'd have a drink with. CP Vic seems fun too. CP Mary comes across as a bit too in control to have more than a lime and soda, Letizia and Kate would nurse one glass of wine all night as they have to consider their figures, Meghan would drink some organic, non-alcoholic herbal concoction (even when not pregnant) and Charlene would say she was only having one but then end up drinking the whole bottle and regaling us with tales of how awful marriage to Albert is!

Absolutely agree Queen though I would have put Letizia with Mary rather than with Kate - it’s a close run thing!

Would definitely pick Max if I had a choice 😀

ElspethFlashman · 23/01/2019 10:06

GrinGrinGrinGrin

Totally true about Charlene!

beanaseireann · 23/01/2019 10:29

Brilliant Queen
Spot on.

OlennasWimple · 23/01/2019 10:37

I think Sophie would be fun for a girls night out too, and Zara. Maybe Anne also lets her hair down once everything is done for the day? (Metaphorical letting her hair down, of course, I don't think that hair has really moved position since 1983)

Fergie would gate crash, whether you invited her or not

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 23/01/2019 10:54

Girls Night Out: Max, Camilla & Fergie.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 23/01/2019 10:58

Restrained dinner in a restaurant with one very expensive bottle of red shared between 4: Kate, Letizia, May & Meghan

Villainess · 23/01/2019 10:59

Charlene would say she was only having one but then end up drinking the whole bottle and regaling us with tales of how awful marriage to Albert is!

And then she'd be crying in the toilets at the end of the night, whilst you made sympathetic noises and held her hair back as she got sick.

Quantumblue · 23/01/2019 11:13

Yes, definitely Max for the fun drinks. I'd love to have Letizia and Felipe for a dinner party - they seem like really intelligent thoughtful people.

Spudlet · 23/01/2019 11:44

Camilla, Anne and Zara for a night when you wanted to get riotously drunk and was prepared for the hangover the next day. These eventing types can't half put it away, and hunting types are well known for having a hip flask about their person at all times - they need it for the hedges!

Then they'd be up at dawn the next day vigourously mucking out while everyone else was still lying in a groaning heap Grin

Spudlet · 23/01/2019 11:50

was prepared?! Were 😳😳😳

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/01/2019 16:58

The Monegasques really love the circus don't they? I guess I'd be as happy as Stephanie in the third photo down if I was surrounded by those blokes!

Max is meeting William with Angela Merkel in Davos! Interesting shoes, but I love the retro turn-ups. twitter.com/KensingtonRoyal/status/1088139515787653120?s=19

theaccidentaleconomist · 23/01/2019 18:45

Here's how Estelle's name was pronounced at her christening:

margotsdevil · 23/01/2019 19:21

That video was lovely 😊

Am puzzled though - that's exactly how I would have pronounced Estelle - is there another way?!

Clionba · 23/01/2019 19:26

@theaccidentaleconomist - thank you for that, that's lovely! So just "Estelle" then. Pretty name.
Why don't we see our royal christenings?
PS - does anybody know what that music is?

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/01/2019 19:36

William looks like he's mansplaining in that video @Wetdogloveshubert!
