Completely missed the ball with the previous thread so hope this thread is easy enough to find!

Margrethe looking really elegant in blue here

Paradyning · 18/01/2019 17:26

The ODLR dress definitely looks better the length it is in the model. Although they must be the same if. It taller than Kate, so she must have had it altered, strangely.

Paradyning · 18/01/2019 17:26

Mags looks awesome!! That's a dress that Kate or Meghan could wear too

BlingLoving · 18/01/2019 17:26

Agree that slightly longer as per the original would have been better. She has great legs but they stillw ould have been obvious.

Cel982 · 18/01/2019 17:36

I'm probably being a bit unfair, Darien Grin It's the lace overlay thing, which she seems to favour a lot; I really dislike it (wedding dress excepted!). I think the Marchesa gave me flashbacks to this horror (www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.huffpost.com/entry/duchess-kate-purple-dress_n_56277c29e4b08589ef49c33e/amp).

I do love 90% of what she wears, honest!

Paradyning · 18/01/2019 17:40

That D&G was ruined by the high neck imo (apologies if this double posts. No idea why it's happening today)

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/01/2019 17:44

Kate's never met a lace dress she didn't love 😂

Hairydilemma · 18/01/2019 17:54

I loved the Marchesa AND the D&G dress I think you were linking to Cel - clearly in the minority here! Blush

Bloominglovely · 18/01/2019 17:57

I really dislike everything about that red dress too except the colour itself.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/01/2019 18:05

I thought the Marchesa was gorgeous and Kate should wear more.
I thought the label was slowly coming back into acceptance as Georgina Chapman is divorcing Weinstein

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/01/2019 18:12

This is what Tom & Lorenzo my fave US commentators have to say about Kate’s ODLR outfit. Mrs. Cathy continues her “IT ALL STILL FITS BITCHES” tour

Which is an interesting perspective no one has mentioned, as we all assume she will snap back into shape.

Hairydilemma · 18/01/2019 18:14

”Cathy Cambridge” Grin

Wetdogloveshubert · 18/01/2019 18:20

Thinking on the Michelle Obama clothes retrospective, did she and similar public figures get the same vitriol for their clothes spending in America and elsewhere in Europe?

Love the pic of Margrethe.

PineapplePower · 18/01/2019 18:21

Black tights are looking really dated; wonder if the much maligned nude tights would have been a better option here?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/01/2019 18:27

Nope, that outfit was already dated.
Opaque tights should at the very least have been worn with suede shoes.
I haven’t seen patent shoes for adults since the 80s

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/01/2019 18:29

Shout out for Princess Anne. visits in the last 2 days .
I had no idea New Balance trainers were made in the UK. They gave Anne a personalised pair.

Anne arriving at today's engagement not i the best of moods it seems

princess anne

Also I'm know it's deviating from the fashion but apparently Prince Phillip was checked over at hospital today and given the all clear again. It also says he has reached out to the others involved.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 18/01/2019 19:21

I have to say, the more I see yesterday's purple suit, the more I dislike it unfortunately. Esp the colour.

It would be a shame imo if Marchesa didn't bounce back. Abhorrent to punish the wife for something the husband did.

Spudlet · 18/01/2019 19:40

I agree Curly, the patent shoes with matt tights that didn't help. A matt shoe would have at last been leg lengthening - not that the DoC has stumpy pins! Or even some of her black suede shoeboots / ankle boots - the right ones could have given it a bit of edge, perhaps.

Spudlet · 18/01/2019 19:44

I don't think that Anne is a bad mood, I think that was just Anne Grin She is the patron saint of Women With No Fucks.

In fact, if I were a Windsor doing Christmas shopping, I do believe I have found the ideal Anne gift...

Clionba · 18/01/2019 19:49

That's a great pillow, Spudlet!
Love it!

Clankboing · 18/01/2019 20:36

I couldn't tell what Anne said. Does anyone else know?

Clionba · 18/01/2019 20:48

That she knew no more than the journalist.
She's in Lancashire doing engagements.

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/01/2019 20:52

"No idea. You know where I am? Same place as you."

Though it wasn't an unreasonable question from the journo given that mobiles exist!

I think the family don't communicate very well!
