Hair with pics. Need URGENT help before “the chop” tomorrow

That’s it really. Having cut and highlights tomorrow at 12 noon. I’ve let my hair get very dark over the past year. I’m 57.

Am I too old for hair this length? Beginning to feel like I need something doing but literally have no clue “what”. Don’t want a classic bob because I’ve been there many times and it always gets on my nerves, all that turning it under business.

I need advice before 11.30am tomorrow. Thanks 😊

I would keep it longish. You wear it well. Go for long layers with high lights. It will look fabulous.

I saw some great looking hair in Vienna that was your length and had loose curls added : you could have a go at being trendy with the curls.

Thanks. No, no grey as yet but I’m jealous of my sister who has fabulous grey hair and has it coloured 😡

Thing is, I’ve found it to be thinning after menopause so, yes it does need a chop.

I agree, ask for some long layers and maybe just an inch off the bottom. I’d then ask for highlights with at least 2 maybe 3 colours.

Ummm, if I go for layers, won’t it look overall shorter/thinner? (Apologies, you are talking to a woman who has had the same “do” pretty consistently, all her life 😐).

Google long loose curls Vienna and I had loads of photos, hints how to do at home as well. Saw amazing hair there recently, you can do that look.

Did you have tons of hair when you were younger? Yes you can definitely go brighter although the dark blonde looks very lovely.

What about these, or am I fooling myself? They’re all young “do”s on young models. Not sure they’d be do-able on me.

The length suits you and it doesn't look at all thin in the pics. As others have said, I'd just get a good trim to get that blunter crisper end thing.

Yes, blunt ends make it look thicker, I think. Layers (on my hair) do the opposite, I’ve found in the past.

No it was meant for you 🙂- I think it would look wonderful with your bone structure and it doesn’t have to be heavily styled. Good style for thinning hair too.

Had it short in my 20’s and 40’s. Keeping it longer for now. Something to hide behind, when I’ve had a few too many 🍷🍷🍷 the night before!
