Previous thread.

Usual rules - say what you like about the clothes, keep it civil re the wearers.

I suspect Princess Anne's dogs would eat any cats that dared show a whisker 😱

Just read a report on William's helicopter exploits - it said he's agreed to become patron of the London Air Ambulance for their anniversary year. So does that mean he'll move on after the year, which would fit with what was said on an earlier thread about this generation wanting to do things differently with their charity work? Or have I misinterpreted that?

BigGreenOlives · 10/01/2019 19:51

I’m sure he’ll be an on-going patron, it wouldn’t be worth the charity changing its paperwork etc for just 12 months. I think the Queen has to give permission for a member of the R Family to take up a patronage.

Meghan looks great today.

Am I wrong in thinking she's the first high profile royal to wear bodycon maternity stuff? It looks so very attainable compared to how DoC dressed during pregnancy.

queenofarles · 10/01/2019 20:25

Meghan must be freezing ! That de la renta's coat looks like it's made out of gabardine
I love Hatch , and have worn their clothes in my last pregnancy I think I've mentioned it as an option for Megahn on a previous thread , maybe they do read these threads after all Grin .
But I really don't like bodycon dresses while pregnant , anything form fitting on my belly made so uncomfortable and lightheaded . Looking at her brough back flashbacks Hmm

@user1457017537 yes queen is correct ours is a biomass boiler for which you can only claim RHI if you have no mains gas. They are large, sometimes housed in a separate building, one of our neighbours has one which would have cost somewhere approaching £50k but it will generates a large income index linked for 20 years, tax free.
The press reports say the Frogmore boiler will also produce electricity, so it may be a different type.

throughtheeyeofaneedle · 10/01/2019 20:32

Good lord those shoes are dreadful - how to make your feet look like raw chicken squished into a glass jar in 1 easy step 🤢

Laiste · 10/01/2019 20:56

''raw chicken squished into a glass jar''

Eloquently put.

katekat383 · 10/01/2019 20:58

MM does not seem to understand dressing appropriately for the season.

katekat383 · 10/01/2019 20:58

The shoes are ugly and ludicrous.

throughtheeyeofaneedle · 10/01/2019 21:33

@Laiste
Why, thank you 😁

VamillaSugar · 10/01/2019 21:48

Don’t they look young!!

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/01/2019 22:25

She looks not that different to how she does now. He on the other hand...

I've seen a few other photos of Megan today and my lord she looks 10 years younger than her age. Fresh as a daisy. I don't know what it was, makeup? Hair? But she looked incredible.

I also thought the story she told was cute - did anyone see that? How she donated a bag and then steered a woman towards it but the woman didn't like the bag? That was great.

Im on record as not being her biggest fan historically because of the spending, and sure enough her coat and bag were obscenely expensive today - but her charm may just edge all that out.

ElspethFlashman · 10/01/2019 22:44

Re: that photo of Catherine and William. I know it was the morning after their wedding night and all, but Williams bulge is a bit much there! 😂

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/01/2019 22:44

Bless him, William. They have both matured.
He seems to adore her even more

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/01/2019 22:54

Rebecca English from the Mail says Meghan has been visiting today's charity since March of last year. And as much as I hate to admit it, when it comes to nuggets like this she's fairly "in the know".

Meghan today and Meghan in 2006
@elspeth you are right, she has barely aged and just looks more sophisticated.

God - there are some bitches on these threads.

LovingLola · 10/01/2019 23:10

And funnily enough they are sycophants as well !!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/01/2019 23:12

Catherine & William in 2004

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/01/2019 23:13

Well aren’t you just the little ray of sunshine @lola ?
“Loving” dropped for obvious reasons

LovingLola · 10/01/2019 23:15

Have been reading these for a while ... you put want2besupermum in her box a while back yourself if you remember....

Grinchly · 10/01/2019 23:17

I will be shot down here but think MM is fairly ordinary looking really.

The outfit she wore to Edinburgh with the baggy trews trailing on the ground - looked like one of my own specials. Blush

Kate in my view is maturing into her own style and stunning, and has always been a real radiant beauty, if a little too thin currently.

Becles · 10/01/2019 23:22

@katekat383

MM does not seem to understand dressing appropriately for the season.

Would be great if you would explain just what was inappropriate about her outfit today, then explain if appropriate means: Dressing how you would dress, how an 'English rose' like Kate would dress or how a pregnant woman (and an autonomous adult) from a country with much colder winter temperatures chooses to dress?

LovingLola · 10/01/2019 23:26

Thank you @becles
You have articulated exactly what I was thinking
