Happy Sale Day folks...glad others have succumbed too but that is totally me done for the sales... until they reduce anything else later on in the month.. Not £2.3K though, never !!!! (though it sounds like you were pretty restrained after all..hope the cashmere works for you...the nibbled one was a bricky colour and that did look lovely with your colouring, so it may work). Glad you have christened your new CC too laska... Hope the leather leggings work as we'll for you as they have for never and soy.
soups - that Alessia blouse is lovely. I don't have it, but did stroke it lovingly in JL! Someone on the last thread did, and looked gorgeous in it (missfliss, possibly?).
lol soy @ starry balloon...I'm sure you won't! That shirt will look lovely with the leather leggings I reckon. I was very tempted, but seriously, I do have lots of floaty blouses, and also i find polyester tops have started bringing on hot flushes no end... and i can only wear them for about half a day without me feeling I have to change... not a good look or smell. The check trousers are beautiful...tried them earlier in the season in JL, but they just didn't suit me at all .
HLBug - wow - that's a fab haul! I have the Atlas shirt and it is great (sweat issues notwithstanding...its actually not too bad for that!) and the open star necklace is gorgeous. I did try the solitaire earlier in the season, and its a lovely fabric, but the style swamped me a bit - though if you've sized down it may be OK (I only went down by 1 size - but just wasn't bothered enough to try a further size down!). Like the sound of live's order too!
I do kind of agree with soy about the FOMO thing. I fancied some pyjamas, but they were all basically sold out last night apart from in maybe one size...and also one of the bags - thats not even a size issue. Hmmmm .
So having said I wasn't going to order anything in the sale I have... i went for the burgundy slub t shirt and charcoal l/l tank (I have a black one, and a charcoal L/L T shirt from an earlier sale which are fab - and "only" £15...though on back order). Boring, but useful. Also the lola scarf laska ordered (bargain), and a skinny silk star scarf which looks quite versatile. I'm also going to try both the satin crepe joggers and navy winona trousers - but not entirely convinced I need either of them...they look useful though. And as a wild card, this dress which looks cute and the reviewers seem to like...hopefully will work into spring too.
The lulu cashmere is reduced, but is £2 more expensive than when I got it in the £20% off!! But I was actually feeling sad at the thought of sending it back (saddo) so it's staying and I'm living on beans.
I dithered over a few things..the burgundy felix and Ivy, for example (can you tell I love burgundy..) but thought I probably wouldn't wear the former that much (and would be worried about washing) - and although I wear the navy ivy a lot, not sure my wardrobe really needs a second (plus all the jumpers have left very little space...) and I'm determined to wear stuff I have already... Also the tiger scarf and grey/pink Love scarf (which would go with loads of my stuff)..but still think £35 is quite a lot, so will keep an eye on them... And the florence skirt..but the flower print sold out while it was sitting in my basket, and the green snake is just too similar to the green leopard draped one i have (would like to see it on you, though cherries!).
How are people doing with the wardrobe shopping today? I am wearing some wide legged dark Hobbs jeans which I think i got in the sales a couple of years ago (they have the claw marks - but not too badly!), and a navy gap shirt with little pink and white birds, that I used to wear lots for work - but got lost in a drawer since I have stopped working in an office (its not actually that formal - just cotton - but I just don't usually wear buttoned stuff at home). As it is gap, it has that little label in that tells you which season it is from, and it is winter 2013 apparently, so i think that's quite good going... And the pink Heidi .
