@ilovecherries well I honestly think the leather leggings look great. Age doesn't come into it really, it all depends on how you wear them and what with. My Mum is older than you (70) and has a pair of the faux ones similar to mine. She wears hers with big chunky knit jumpers/cardigans and looks brilliant.
I get what you're saying about adjusting to the 'new you' and it's great to see your confidence growing on this thread. If you love them, keep them or you'll just keep thinking about them and hankering after them! They are the kind of thing you can easily sell on eBay in a years time if you find you've not worn them much.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 16:49

I like the chain bingley boots but are they too similar to these?

@neveradullmoment99 I like the second pair of boots much better, they are gorgeous.
Re the skirt would you be happy to post a pic of a bit more of it (higher towards your waist) as it's hard to say it's too big as can't see much of it.

Ellapaella · 07/01/2019 16:50

Oh sorry X post, actually think the skirt looks a good fit, it's very nice.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 16:51

Keep lthe leather leggings @cherriesSmile

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 16:53

Its a good fit with a top over it. Im a bit bigger than id like and scared that if i lose my xmas chub it might feel too big.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 16:54

The waist is fine. Just a bit more material on hips. But not that bad.

Laska2Meryls · 07/01/2019 16:55

never I just love the Alford boots! not so much the Bingleys..
its a bit difficult to gauge the skirt on you tbh

Laska2Meryls · 07/01/2019 16:59

Hmm .. if its too big on the hips then maybe not .. I think you need to walk up and down stairs in it and then sit down in various chair types etc , then if it feels like it is bunching up uncomfortably , then no... It wont get any better

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 17:00

So you like the Alfords laska and ella likes the bingleys?

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 17:00

Thats a good plan....and leather stretches...

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 17:02

So choice is either skirt, or bingleys or alfords. What would you keep?

Laska2Meryls · 07/01/2019 17:02

Looks like you'll have to keep both pairs then !! Wink

fairiesandelves · 07/01/2019 17:04

@ginandginger ooo where / when is a Hush sample sale please ? I'm not too far from London.

Love this thread and seeing everyone's photos. You're a lovely lot.

My Hush order arrived but just kept the Tara boatneck dress as on a diet. Btw I lost 9 pounds at Slimming World when I weighed in on Saturday. My first week !

Laska2Meryls · 07/01/2019 17:05

Alfords definitely

unless they are a sz 5 , then send them back and I'll have them!

wearenotacodfish · 07/01/2019 17:08

@neveradullmoment99 I love the second pair of boots and the skirt looks like it fits well.

@ilovecherries I was expecting to think you were too old for the leggings and politely scroll past but I love them on you and definitely don't think you are too old although I do agree with OP that it's all in the styling.

I wore my lightening bolt jumper for work today because we dress down day and someone greeted me with hello flash. Not the reaction I was going for. Also, I have reordered the scarlet jumper in a small to compare sizes.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 17:15

They are a 6 sadly laska. So 2 for bingleys 1 for alfords. Do you think the bingleys are too similar to the otherwith the buckles and zips?

GinandGingerBeer · 07/01/2019 17:16

Well that's the thing @fairiesandelves Grin nobody knows until they send the invites out but they usually have one towards the end of January. If I knew far enough in advance, i could book a train ticket and a day off work, but it'll be too expensive to book a ticket to make it worth my while.

GinandGingerBeer · 07/01/2019 17:17

Blimey! 9lbs loss in a week! That's fantastic.
Wish I'd not eaten that walnut whip now Wink

dontcallmelen · 07/01/2019 17:17

Never I think I prefer the second pair of boots, but do like the chain on the first pair😄 the skirt is lovely but I’m thinking will the sort of creasing on the hips become more pronounced if it softens up get a bit bigger on you? Maybe try the next size down I would do what Laska suggested.
fairies goodness that’s is a brilliant first week result.

GinandGingerBeer · 07/01/2019 17:20

I like the ones with the zip @neveradullmoment99
The other ones are nice but they are quite similar to your others.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 17:21

Tbh i think the skirt will become too big. So just deciding between boots. 2 for alfords 2 for bingleys!

neveradullmoment99 · 07/01/2019 17:23

Thanks @ ginger. I think they are very similar too. Shape at toe and zip identical.

dontcallmelen · 07/01/2019 17:23

Oh lord who invented 2.5 year olds, I need to lay down in a dark room with gin I’m knackered, she has been really on one today done nothing but throw all her toys around & shout at me😩
