I'm always up for this, I'm thinking about going back to work after many years as a SAHM so a make over would be fab! So many aspects to work on though ...

LardLizard · 28/12/2018 23:39

Tho king of starting the wardrobe clear out with some sort of photo app where you can sort your clothes you do have

I’d love to join in please. Saw some pics of myself over Christmas from 10 years ago and I’ve aged 20 years since. Need to get back on track - lose weight, tone up, address skin & hair properly ....... all the usuals Sad.

Need help getting back on track.

Easilyflattered · 29/12/2018 09:28

Yes. I'm determined to lose weight this year and turf out all the old crappy fat clothes. I also need to rethink my hair colour, I need to go lighter now I'm getting so many greys.

longnight · 29/12/2018 09:30

I started last month but hoping to spend 2019 figuring out how to look more together and figuring out what actually suits me and how to wear things.

twinnywinny14 · 29/12/2018 09:41

I am definitely in this boat! I’ve not got lots to lose maybe half a stone but need to exercise more and eat better to make me feel better for sure. Need to sort out my wardrobe and want to try dressing more interesting rather than jeans all the time! Need to clear out the stuff I’ll never wear again and replace but have a very limited budget so always stresses me out buying clothes as want to get things that will be worn x

Eesha · 29/12/2018 11:38

Try that method of kondoing. I got rid of 8 Ikea bags of clothes to the Cancer Research shop. Have to say life much easier when you just pick out stuff from your wardrobe that will definitely suit you!

Thisismyhappyface · 29/12/2018 12:38

Yep, new years resolutions are to feel better about myself.

Diet starts Monday (1 stone to lose), had botox yesterday, microblading booked for February, having a sort through of my wardrobe and chucking out the things that don't make me happy.

Also, booking my next hair/ threading appointment as I leave the salon- rather than leaving it until I look dreadful!

Teaistheanswer · 29/12/2018 14:09

Yep I'm up for it too!
Need to actually get into a proper skin routine rather than just thinking about it including drinking more water which I always plan to do but never do Hmm
Same goes for wearing clothes which both suit me and fit properly. I tend to buy stuff which is comfy but my obsession with comfort tends to also mean it's too big! Or just boring and safe! Grin

Spam88 · 29/12/2018 14:27

I've totally let my skin care routine slip since having my daughter (and she's 19 months now, so my skin really looks like shit), so I want to start doing that properly again. Would really like to get below 10 stone as well, ideally would like to lose a stone but will take it a little at a time. And I won't leave it a year again before getting my hair cut 🙈

Uhohmummy · 29/12/2018 14:47

I’m in! I had my third baby this year and now have three under 6. Although I’m not yet 40 I’m beginning to notice I look older and tired. I’m determined to make more of an effort next year. So my far resolutions are:
Clothes - have a big clear out. Buy less/better, only things I love and will actually wear.

Skin - sort out pigmentation, possibly Botox and/or microblading but not sure yet.
Hair - regular cut and colour and also try to grow it longer.
Body - make time to exercise regularly, see a postnatal physio for pelvic floor and separated tummy muscles.
That’s actually a lot!

Eesha · 29/12/2018 15:17

@Teaistheanswer re water, I bought one of those Mango water bottles and it really got me drinking 2L a day. There are so many types on the market but I loved it so much that I bought about 5 as gifts!

Teaistheanswer · 29/12/2018 15:17

I'm adding underwear buying to my list. Just putting washing away in drawers and realised I've turned all comfy/practical in that department tooBlush

Teaistheanswer · 29/12/2018 15:19

Ooh Eesha tell me more...

WineNotTea · 29/12/2018 15:21

I’ll join. Tomorrow I’m planning on a huge clothes sort out. I’ve slowly started moving to a basic colour palette of grey, navy and red or pink. Anything that doesn’t adhere to that is going to the charity shop.

Eesha · 29/12/2018 16:20

@Teaistheanswer literally just a water bottle but has times down the side so you end up drinking 2L quite easily.

Teaistheanswer · 29/12/2018 16:35

@Eesha oh i see, thanks for the link I like the look of one of those Smile

twinnywinny14 · 29/12/2018 17:03

They sell a cheap version in home bargains

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 29/12/2018 17:29

Total joining too. I need a diet overhaul to lose weight and sort out my skin, plus I need to invest in some nice clothes which make me feel better about myself.

I also need to see a postnatal physio as I have similar problems. Does anyone know roughly how much they charge?

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 29/12/2018 18:48

Me! Need to lose 2st...the same 2st I vowed to lose in 2018, 2017, 2016 blah.

I was lucky to receive a Dyson hairdryer for Christmas which is really helping with the dyed grey frizzies so that’s the hair sorted.

Nails, I’ve just removed my first ever set of acrylics and thankfully they don’t seem to have done too much damage. Won’t be getting them again but will endeavour to keep them nice.

Clothes will look better if I manage to shift the weight but I’m going to stop buying cheap and often & spend a bit more on a few things that will go with anything.

Thisismyhappyface · 30/12/2018 11:43

I've upped the water intake today after last nights wine consumption. Forgot how annoying it is to wee every 10 mins!

Conseulabananahammock · 30/12/2018 14:04

Meeee. Currently trying to visualise a capsule wardrobe and what i will need. I turned 30 in December and have finally decided to sod it and embrace my own style instead of the same as everyone else.
Already have my long awaited doc marten boots and beautiful leopard fur coat!

Conseulabananahammock · 30/12/2018 14:07

And skincare needs a serious overhaul. After having lovely skin for ages i seem to have developed middle aged acne Confused

donkeylegs · 30/12/2018 14:18

me too. i'm focusing on losing weight as no more children and getting back to work.
i'm also saving up for cosmetic dental and skin work towards the spring or summer of 2019. Already started laser hair removal since last year. Progress is slow, fecking hair folicles!
2020 I'll have a tummy tuck Grin

VanillaSugarCookies · 30/12/2018 14:57

I'm not exaggerating when I say my entire wardrobe is black leggings and shapeless black tops. I have 1 pair of boots that don't really look good with leggings so I usually wear trainer/pumps. None of this matches the coats I have so when I go out I just look a terribly hot mess.

I need jeans, nice tops to show off my boobs and some heeled wedges that I can wear daily to look more put together.

I already have a nice bag which will go with anything, my coats are decent and look very dressy and I always have my nails done.

I need to keep start actually using all of my skincare products, as well as dying my hair when it needs doing instead of waiting months and months. And start making an effort to do my make up more instead of only when I'm going somewhere nice.

I am also planning on loosing weight and drinking a lot more water. I won't lie, the only water I consume right now is in my 4 coffee's (which I am not giving up, ever). I am addicted to Diet Coke so I'm planning on water all day and a can of Diet Coke with my tea. I'm off to eBay for a 2 litre bottle.
