It says on the tube to put it in damp hair then blowdry.

Skinfulnappies46 · 20/12/2018 20:05

Diamondsandrose, you deserve a mumsnet medal 🥇 lol. Loved Face Footner 😂

BollockingBaubles · 20/12/2018 21:08

I've used the Percy and Reed stuff once, I used sparingly though, hair was left very silky and soft with a slight wave, couldn't curl it though as it's was that silky it didn't hold. Pillowcase stunk of the product though so while it did appear to vanish, I'll be using a towel next time.

I've tried the nail file and the texture still grated on me, I just might be able to get away with it because it's not as gratey.

I've started using the gel stuff too, no reactions thankfully, but no difference also. I've been putting under the ren night cream last few nights and no more dry skin like I've had the last week.

The lip gloss I didn't initially like but have been using it instead of a lip balm and I actually like it now, the sticky lips have prevented me from biting the last few bits of cracked skin from the first lip balm.

Don't know if anyone is interested but the Amazon Beauty Calendar is half price. He said he's paid £25 earlier today. He never ever buys me make up and I had no idea amazon did one so god knows will turn up tomorrow.

PrincessWatermelon · 20/12/2018 21:30

Thanks for the tip on the Amazon calendar. It's £30 as far as I can see right now, but the contents don't look as good as ours.

Ours is on sale for £99.99 plus postage 😲

ButteryParsnips · 20/12/2018 22:42

I've actually bought the Amazon calendar at half price and am keeping it for January to ease me into the new year with a continued daily small treat. Even if they're not as good as December's, it'll help...

diamondsandrose · 21/12/2018 00:06

Oh no I'm going to have to go and look at the Amazon one

*graciously accepts MN advent medal Grin

diamondsandrose · 21/12/2018 00:08

Meh. Ours is better gals

ihatethecold · 21/12/2018 07:13

Pleased with today’s offering.

PrincessWatermelon · 21/12/2018 07:35

Today's is good. I got it in the LF calendar last year and have almost finished it. Didn't use it everyday but it lasts ages! Not actually sure it made a difference, mind you...will have to re-read the blurb to convince myself of the benefits! Does anyone else do that?

Writersblock2 · 21/12/2018 07:39

Happy with today’s - feels a tad more substantial. Hoping for some amazing items these last few days.

Almostthere15 · 21/12/2018 07:43

I'm happy with today's, I love the brand and I'm happy to try this.

So far the mascara and perfume have been the biggest win for me.

I had the Amazon one last year and liked the variety but the products seem a bit more hit and miss this year going off the reviews but that's the risk you take isn't it.

sluj · 21/12/2018 07:49

Today's smells lovely like roses.

My lips are slowly getting better after the first balm disaster so I am hoping for a pickled onion or two next week 😁

Atalune · 21/12/2018 07:59

I love today’s! It does what it says on the tube amd I have used it before!

I’m hoping for a bronzer....my benefit one is on its last legs!

SomethingAboutNothing · 21/12/2018 08:04

Like the look of today's, I'll be giving that one a go straight away.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 21/12/2018 08:13

Not sure about today's, is it a day cream but without SPF? I don't normally use separate spf in winter but always use moisturiser with one so not sure about this. I've never used primers.

CrazySheepLady · 21/12/2018 08:13

I've heard good things about today's product. Looking forward to trying it out. Smile

LostInShoebiz · 21/12/2018 08:27

I’m a few days ahead so have already finished. Can I check what you’re opening today so I avoid giving any spoilers?

PrincessWatermelon · 21/12/2018 08:41

This Works primer was today. And it's 20ml - the one I got in LF calendar was only 15ml. But last years said it can be kept for 12months and today's is 6months. V odd.

LostInShoebiz · 21/12/2018 08:42

Thanks!

AllTheProsecco · 21/12/2018 08:56

Today's looks lovely!!

What's everyone's favourite thing so far? Thinking of getting something for my cousin for Xmas (late I know!!) and I really like the M&S sleep cream which they have full size for £22. She's 27 and we are close so she won't be offended by night cream 😂 but does anyone think anything has been better than this? I haven't tried everything yet.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 21/12/2018 08:57

Meet Apparently it's supposed to be used with an SPF containing cream.
I am confused about why it calls itself a mask...does it just make your skin look as though you have used a mask?!

I am really pleased with it though, I wanted a primer or day cream and this is both!

Polpette · 21/12/2018 08:57

Great to hear your lips are recovering Sluj it's not Christmas without pickled onions!

I'm excited about today's offering, I love the brand so am hoping this will be good too. Intrigued that it claims to be a moisturiser, mask and primer...is that just a fancy way of saying moisturiser?

Still haven't tried yesterday's styling product as I rarely blow dry my hair, am going to have to hunt down the hairdryer.

Am imaging waking up on Christmas Day with swishy hair, glowing skin, bright eyed, glossy lipped and smelling wonderful....hmm, the reality may be a little different.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 21/12/2018 09:09

I've never heard of this brand (but I've never heard of most of the ones so far either). I'm not sure if I'm getting Advent Calendar fatigue but I really don't feel enthusiastic about trying yet another new product on my skin so soon. Might put this to one side for now I think and carry on with my normal daycream.

As for favourites - I've been happy enough with everything but there's nothing I'd go out and buy a full size of yet.

Atalune · 21/12/2018 09:10

Today’s product is a lot like Clarins a beauty flash balm if anyone uses that?

I pop it on under makeup or sometimes just pop some on my cheeks to brighten.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 21/12/2018 09:12

I tried Clarin's Flash Balm many years ago and it did absolutely nothing for me.
