Goodness - you've all been chatty! I did eventually make it home yesterday - the flight was two hours late - not because of the drones at Gatwick, but there was a fault on the plane...typical... But at least I made it home unlike many others, so feel very lucky!!
I'm loving the clothes - missfliss the black and red blouse looks brilliant on you and the colours really suit you (you're so pretty!) and porpoise's pink scarf looks lovely and cosy too. live - I'm really looking forward to seeing your haul!! I love a big hush order...
soy - what a nightmare. I'm with everyone else on being aghast at how some people behave, and how we seem to be getting more and more insular and less and less tolerant as a country, which is so alien to how I think we should be (the hotel I've been staying at had "British Classics" on the menu, including pizza, risotto, tikka masala and nachos, alongside pies and fish n chips! Testament to how we have in the past been so accepting and welcoming of "immigrants" to our culture...). And how the political climate at the moment seems to be a bunch of football teams shouting abuse at each other, and the encouragement of "othering"
. It is ridiculous and depressing...and yy to len, ella and fliss's rants... Absolutely no-one I know in real life voted for this sh1tstorm. Grrrrrr. Definitely deserves a rant or seven.... I'm a dual citizen of the USA, though, so it could be worse!

lol! (I'd forgotten about the whole boat mc boatface thing...) I hope your snot has reduced with your various remedies. Poor you - though I'm sure you looked very stylish in the meryl, nevertheless! (I like the beechams green liquid gunk in the bottle. As you say, not sure it cures them, but it definitely makes the symptoms much more tolerable, and tastes disgusting enough to feel it is doing you some good). Definitely don't feel you have to struggle with the mince pies as a duty... They are yummy, but still, take it easy... Even pirates and naval officers need a bit of rest...
soups I do love that fuchsia jumper - it looks great, and it does seem a bit longer on you than the other? The sleeves are so nice.
cherries i hope you enjoy your brief trip up north...plus virtual shopping
.

for your DM.
In terms of hits and misses...I have worn the meryl pretty much constantly (so I do think its been worth the £££), and also the leopard leggings and blue ivy. And the long line t-shirt and vest from the sale recently. I have also worn the snake marina a fair bit, but not so much the dionne skirt - possibly because it feels a bit more formal so I only use it for "smart". I haven't worn the wide tops as much as i thought - possibly as I've been a bit wary of washing them, also because i think of them as a "stand-alone" top, so better worn without anything on top - and it's been a bit cold for that! Maybe when it gets a bit warmer so May, then. From previous seasons, i think a black blazer I got a while ago, that is really versatile. And the reversible rose jumper from the summer sale always gets compliments, oddly, as I didn't think it was my favourite when I got it!
