  1. Looking back over A/W season what have you bought from Hush which has proved to be a winner?
For me I think it has to be both the V neck wide jersey top in pale grey and the round neck one in green, I don't like the charcoal one as much but wanted another as I was living in the other two! Also the snake marina and the Sylvia blouse have been worn a fair bit as have the bargainouse zebra print joggers with the burgundy raglan. Starprint leopard jumper has definitely had its uses on weekends away for the daytime, where you want to feel a bit special but not over dressed.
  1. What hasn't got worn much , or at all ?
I've never worn a skirt I bought, the Geena asymmetric one. It's not that I don't like it, I do, but just never found the right occasion. Ditto the zebra print skirt but I'm wearing that tomorrow.
  1. And what old Hush Item from previous seasons do you keep dragging out?
Definitely the tara dresses, still going strong. As is another one which was possibly my first hush purchase (in the sale). I don't know what it's called but it's a knitted top half in burgundy with a black skirt attached. I often chuck it on for work. Oh and the black Shelley blazer has been a fantastic purchase, it's quite heavy and goes past my bum so I've been able to get away with it even on cold days with a big scarf.
neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 17:37

Definitely the 12 for me. There is no way I would have got the 10 by my hips. You are like @cherries, straight up and down though so you might just get away with them. Once over my hips they are fine on the waist.

dontcallmelen · 21/12/2018 17:47

Two I’m no help either, like them both.

ilovecherries · 21/12/2018 17:49

Pina, I loved that dress but I think it requires a decent backside to start with. Made mine look like it started at my waist and trickled down to mid thigh. I’m sure yours is starting from a better position. Grin

Soups, unless you have very soft, muted colouring Id go for the stronger colour. Looks great. I have tried the hush leather leggings but the ruse was just a bit too low on me, my mum tum kept trying to escape over the top. I recently tried baukjen ones, which were higher in the rise, but a bit loose on the thighs. I quite commonly have this problem with trousers, but it was particularly noticeable in the leather. All I needed was a whip, really.

twosoups1972 · 21/12/2018 17:54

@ilovecherries my colouring is dark brown hair and eyes and pale skin. Think I generally look good in stronger colours. Would love to keep both but don't think I can justify the cost.

PinaColada1 · 21/12/2018 19:04

Ha ha @ilovecherries Thanks! I’m not sure if mines any better. ;-)

Re your jumper - I like pale pink but others may be right, a rich colour is quite festive.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 21/12/2018 19:44

My favourite stuff at the minute:

Always my wonderful leather jacket. Bought last year from all saints and I wear it all the time. Every outfit feels finished.
My Daniel boots. Great with anything!
Ding dong Meryl - she’s only been in my life a week but she makes me so happy.
My MV Coates leggings - with the beloved Meryl or any long line jumper. Currently wearing these with my wide V.
Taras (grey and burgundy polo neck) and Animal print ivy - so easy to wear, feel finished in anything.
Harems - don’t wear them too far from home but they are my go to when I feel rubbish.
Tiger T - with above. I’m about to get changed into this outfit.
Marina snake, easy to wear dressed up or down.

It’s funny that two items - my wonderful leather jacket and Daniel boots, allow me to pull so many outfits together and feel done.

Ellapaella · 21/12/2018 19:46

@twosoups1972 I like the bright pink one best

@PorpoisefullyObtuse YY to the MV faux leather leggings - I love mine and have worn loads.
I popped into Next tonight (to buy an Xmas present) and tried on 8 different jumpers, none of which looked quite right, they all seemed to hang funny over my shoulders - or Maybe I'm just not in the buying mood. I did get a lovely fine knit sparkly bronze top though that will go great with coated jeans that have ordered. Planning to wear that tomorrow afternoon when we meet family for drinks in our local pub.

Well if we are talking about past season things, I use my huge hush bag [ remember the one in the summer sale] all the time at work. It has been great. I wear my hush ankle boots loads but less so these days as I have been wearing my dm's all the time! I also have the small bag with the star on it from previous seasons [ fifi bag] Its such a gorgeous little bag. I have also worn my hush olive coat from last year a lot.
I haven't worn the red faux fur jacket yet.
I bought the leopard faux fur jacket from boden and haven't worn that yet either.
I have worn the trainers a few times but sadly I am going to have to contact hush as the sole is coming away from the actual shoe but atm, I have been so busy to deal with it. So disappointed. Will do at the weekend. Hoping they will replace as they were so expensive.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 19:58

Looking forward to wearing my hush fairisle jumper but its for my Christmas!! Oh and I sent the red felix back. Loved it but decided it was too £££ so instead I bought the black bell sleeved dress and the gorgeous open star necklace. Both are lovely. @Laska2Meryls, the open star necklace is stunning. You should buy it if its in the sale. You wont be disappointed.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 19:59

I guess I was thinking that after Christmas, I wouldn't probably rush to wear the red. Saying that, if they reduce I will probably purchase!!! The black for me is more practical for work.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 20:07

So what is everyone going to stalk in the sale?

For me, the skinny jeans.
I may consider another pair of the leather leggings but they would have to reduce them by a lot for me to do that.
The cashmere dress, or the navy marl jumper.
Would consider either of the star bags or the round one.
Maybe the zebra scarf you have ordered laska.
Maybe the blue leopard one.
Nothing else jumps out at me atm but we will see. I may buy the zebra skirt or the flowery one if they reduce it significantly. Oh and the boots. Love the zip ones, would consider the ones with the chain at the back.

Ellapaella · 21/12/2018 20:16

I'll be stalking the frill neck jumper, a cashmere jumper (if reasonable reduction) and maybe the patterned Meg skirt.

Goodness - you've all been chatty! I did eventually make it home yesterday - the flight was two hours late - not because of the drones at Gatwick, but there was a fault on the plane...typical... But at least I made it home unlike many others, so feel very lucky!!

I'm loving the clothes - missfliss the black and red blouse looks brilliant on you and the colours really suit you (you're so pretty!) and porpoise's pink scarf looks lovely and cosy too. live - I'm really looking forward to seeing your haul!! I love a big hush order...

soy - what a nightmare. I'm with everyone else on being aghast at how some people behave, and how we seem to be getting more and more insular and less and less tolerant as a country, which is so alien to how I think we should be (the hotel I've been staying at had "British Classics" on the menu, including pizza, risotto, tikka masala and nachos, alongside pies and fish n chips! Testament to how we have in the past been so accepting and welcoming of "immigrants" to our culture...). And how the political climate at the moment seems to be a bunch of football teams shouting abuse at each other, and the encouragement of "othering" Xmas Angry. It is ridiculous and depressing...and yy to len, ella and fliss's rants... Absolutely no-one I know in real life voted for this sh1tstorm. Grrrrrr. Definitely deserves a rant or seven.... I'm a dual citizen of the USA, though, so it could be worse!

laska/ snottymcsnotface Xmas Grin lol! (I'd forgotten about the whole boat mc boatface thing...) I hope your snot has reduced with your various remedies. Poor you - though I'm sure you looked very stylish in the meryl, nevertheless! (I like the beechams green liquid gunk in the bottle. As you say, not sure it cures them, but it definitely makes the symptoms much more tolerable, and tastes disgusting enough to feel it is doing you some good). Definitely don't feel you have to struggle with the mince pies as a duty... They are yummy, but still, take it easy... Even pirates and naval officers need a bit of rest...

soups I do love that fuchsia jumper - it looks great, and it does seem a bit longer on you than the other? The sleeves are so nice.

cherries i hope you enjoy your brief trip up north...plus virtual shopping Xmas Grin.

And never - Flowers for your DM.

In terms of hits and misses...I have worn the meryl pretty much constantly (so I do think its been worth the £££), and also the leopard leggings and blue ivy. And the long line t-shirt and vest from the sale recently. I have also worn the snake marina a fair bit, but not so much the dionne skirt - possibly because it feels a bit more formal so I only use it for "smart". I haven't worn the wide tops as much as i thought - possibly as I've been a bit wary of washing them, also because i think of them as a "stand-alone" top, so better worn without anything on top - and it's been a bit cold for that! Maybe when it gets a bit warmer so May, then. From previous seasons, i think a black blazer I got a while ago, that is really versatile. And the reversible rose jumper from the summer sale always gets compliments, oddly, as I didn't think it was my favourite when I got it!

dontcallmelen · 21/12/2018 20:20

My wish list for sale
Tara dress
Biker jacket
Blazer
Boyfriend cashmere jumper

NotAnActualSheep · 21/12/2018 20:21

Im really not sure if I'm after anything in the sale, oddly. I think I have tried most things that I was interested in, and have either kept Xmas Blush twiggy, I'm looking at you or actually didn't like that much. I was lusting after the solitaire and idalia midi dresses earlier in the season, and eventually ordered them both to try on, and just didn't feel the love. Which was helpful, actually.

Though I'm sure there's some things I just won't be able to resist if they are a good price...

Laska2Meryls · 21/12/2018 20:31

Sal stuff.. maybe nothing atall .. I have had a very expensive Autumn, but I will look at and buy if cheap enough.. :

Tiger scarf
that blouse that missFliss has ....Alessia?
jersey nightie in the navy gold
Possibly the red felix .. (but would have to be Much, much cheaper )
Avebury boots ( but they would have to be massively reduced

neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 20:43

Well me too @Laska. Ive spent a fair amount. Tbh, the only think I really want is the cashmere navy marl jumper but its out of stock so don't really know if they would have that back. I would also consider the black or even the roll neck jumper dress in the green but it is £££

ilovecherries · 21/12/2018 20:48

This is the longest journey EVER. (DH driving again). Re the sale, it’s really only cashmere I’m after I think. I’m also after a bag in the Coach sale.

ilovecherries · 21/12/2018 20:48

Oh, and could be tempted by Felix, if it’s cheap enough.

neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 20:59

Think they reduced it to £69 cherries [last year]

neveradullmoment99 · 21/12/2018 21:04

I wonder when the sale will be? I'm sure it was in January in the past but was it not earlier last year?

dontcallmelen · 21/12/2018 22:09

Cherries I got a coach bag in the last sale they usually have good reductions, the Edie in pink tis lovely but a bit heavy.

twosoups1972 · 21/12/2018 23:30

Oooohh are we onto bags? Smile Coach bags are great, which one are you after @cherries? I got a tan scout hobo half price a few years ago, I use it all the time. But my pride and joy is my grey Strathberry that dh bought me for my birthday last year.
