Was quite pleased with today's in principle as it's a well respected brand and good size. However, I've never got in with pixie glow, it gives me lots of little spots even if I persist with it. I like rose smells though so I might give this one a go!

MysweetAudrina · 12/12/2018 14:19

I always thought toner was to close the pores after cleansing but I am no beauty expert.

Pinkgin50 · 12/12/2018 14:28

I've never used toner before either. Will look forward to trying it later

latedecember1963 · 12/12/2018 17:39

Sluj, having to miss out on Pringles. I hope you get a suitably apologetic response from M&S! 😁

I've got an Elemis apricot toner that I like when I remember to use it. The Pixi one is going to go in my caravan stash . Today's value is £7.20 bringing our total so far to £109.32.

Peachypips · 12/12/2018 17:52

Finally caught up with the enormous thread! I'm loving the calendar so far- even better than last year and I loved that too.

Fav so far is the perfume (I loved the blood orange- does anyone have any they want to swap?) and the elasticizer. Although there's not been anything I don't like so far.

Last year the Ameliorate cream was by far the worst thing- worst smelling cream I've ever used!

Flightywoman · 12/12/2018 17:54

I'm almost pleased with the tonic - I need a new toner but my skin doesn't really get on with rose. So I'll give it a try but it might be a stocking filler...

Fatasfook · 12/12/2018 18:12

Happy with today’s toner and yesterday’s body lotion has cheered up my wrinkly dry old boobs so pretty pleased! Everything so far has been good

ThePortugueseTart · 12/12/2018 18:49

Happy to try today’s toner. I usually use a gentle Clinique one as part of my morning routine.

I have to say, the Elasticiser has left my, normally coarse hair, feeling much softer. I left it on overnight given my hair type. Will continue with this over the Christmas period.

SlowNorris · 12/12/2018 19:01

Tried the nail varnish today and I’m really impressed. It went on smoother than my gel polish and dried very quickly. Might invest in some different colours Smile

Milly848 · 12/12/2018 19:38

Happy with today's - the product is usually £10 or so so great value

Oh, I've re-checked the M&S website and the Pixi toner is £10.00 which brings us up to £102.12. Good spot, Millly!

latedecember1963 · 12/12/2018 20:44

Sorry, that should be a total of £112.12.

Annasgirl · 12/12/2018 21:13

DD really happy to-day and she adored the nail polish.
I'm really happy with all the creams and lotions and although I thought the eye cream was small, I can attest that you only need a tiny dot, so that's great. Delighted so far, and with the perfume which reminds me of my darling aunt who raised me and sadly passed away 15 years ago - have worn it a few times and always think of her.

Peacelilylights · 12/12/2018 21:14

I also didn't get on with the lip balm, made my lips peel leaving sore red patches. So attractive...
I'm enjoying the rest of the products though, but nothing making me want to go out and buy the full size yet.

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 12/12/2018 21:46

Today's is the first miss for me. Don't use toner and I really dislike rose as a fragrance. So if anyone wants to swap I am open to offers! (Particularly if anyone had any blood orange perfume from last year!) 😀

WillnRosiesmum · 12/12/2018 21:51

I'm heading over to Seville for four days...is it wrong that I'm sooo excited about catching up on my calendar when I get back? I've thought of so many options...open em all...open two. But I'm being good and saving them up! First M&S adventer and loving it and this thread!

AtSea1979 · 12/12/2018 22:21

How do you use the toner? Splash it on your hands and pat it on your face? Does it need washing off straight after or leaving on to dry?

PrincessWatermelon · 12/12/2018 22:31

I'd use toner on a cotton pad and wipe over my cleansed face. To be honest, I will often just use toner in the morning without cleansing - it's only removing my Night cream after all.

I have had a full pamper bath session tonight ready for works do tomorrow. I've used as many of our calendar products as I can plus my own bits and managed to use 20 products (including the nail polish!). My DH is astounded!! Love doing that.

SunnyUpNorth · 12/12/2018 23:13

@annasgirl that’s so lovely that the perfume has unexpectedly reminded you of your dear aunt. Scent is so evocative. Hope it brings back happy memories. I’m not a fan of this years perfume so I’d be happy to send you mine so you can continue with the memories. Message me your address if you’d like it x

BollockingBaubles · 13/12/2018 00:35

@sluj I've also emailed m and s with photos of my gob. Also tried leaving review on the product on the page. I've not got allergies other than mild hay fever. Dh complaining of sore lips today and he never felt a tingle when he tried a bit yesterday.

@SlowNorris I find metallic polish much quicker to dry but also a bit more stubborn to remove. I applied mine the day we got it and only removed today because I wanted a change.

I'm not sure about today's. I used Pixi Glow cleanser from a previous calander and loved it the rose thing is putting me off, ive not broken seal yet so was wondering if someone could say if it's strongly scented?

Given the eye cream makes my eyes watery, the ren cream has made my skin dry and the lip balm has blistered and scabbed my lips I'm kind of scared to piss about with more skin products. I've slapped the Nuxe on after my bath tonight and I'm expecting to wake up covered in boils or something Grin

Don't get me wrong I'm still having fun opening and seeing what everyone thinks but I'm hoping for a non skincare item tomorrow. I def look like a new woman though, just a flakey, patchy faced scabby mouthed one haha. Not all bad, I have the neck of a 20 year old!

panicovernow · 13/12/2018 07:18

I will use today's, as I like trying new things but I'm starting to wonder how effective it can all be when used together, surely the top layer undoes the bottom one?! Anyway I feel that the skin care we've had is enough now though! I'd like some makeup or something sparkly next pleaseSmile

MeetOnTheSIedge · 13/12/2018 07:25

I'll give today's a try too, no bad reactions so far, its just taking longer and longer each night to use everything, I'm a bit slapdash with skincare normally.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 13/12/2018 07:35

Here's the description for those who have no idea what to do with this!

Ideal for tired, sensitive, stressed out and wanting skin, the pick-me-up powerhouse moisturiser leaves your skin feeling springy, nourished and revitalised.

I just put some on (after the rose toner, before my moisturiser) and it made my skin feel very tight and dry! Couldn't wait to get the moisturiser on top! I will have to see if there are any visible effects. Bit of a weird one.

Luvacuppatea · 13/12/2018 07:37

I agree, panicovernow - can’t see how layering on endless skin products can really be effective. Anyway, I’ve looked ar reviews of this and someone, somewhere , has used it as handcream and as my hands are definitely more in need of a moisture boost than my face, that’s what I’m going to do 😀.

FlipFlapBat · 13/12/2018 07:38

Slapped it on after a shower this morning and by the time I had done my hair my skin felt oddly tight. Visibility couldn’t see a different though.

I’ve used the loo product without any problems, I really like it although struggle to get it out even when it’s warm.
