I really like the lip balm. I put it on the other night and my lips were still moisturised in the morning. It's a bugger to get out though, so not so impressed with the tube/packaging. Best lip balm by far is the EOS one in the summer M&S box, love it.

Big fan of Nuxe so happy with todays offering. I love their dry oil, so much so I bought the matching perfume. The oil is nice to apply after a day in the sun, sinks into the skin and 'warms' it, not greasy at all. The smell lingers beautifully...I can still smell it at night time.

Also a big fan of Elasticiser. It's pricey so love getting the special edition fragranced ones in the boxes/advents. I really like the P&R Wonder Oil, so intrigued by their offering from the other day. will need to try it out.

JessicaJonesJacket · 11/12/2018 13:51

latedecember I'm glad you found it the same! I was starting to think maybe I'd misapplied it. I spent about an hour being unhappy with my hair then put some sea salt spray on it (which made it less wispy but combined with the P&R has left my hair with an odd texture!).
Finally got round to trying the nail polish today. It's fab.

ajandjjmum · 11/12/2018 14:36

I LOVE this calendar - DD treated me to it, and I didn't think I'd be so impressed/excited. She and I spent the weekend in Prague, so I took the four boxes over there to open and share. I knew she would love the perfume from last week, so took that as well.

Her 'stash' was in the plastic bag at Customs (6 am this morning) and I dropped it. The nail varnish broke, looking like a murder had been committed in the plastic bag, and it also chipped the perfume bottle, so couldn't keep it. I could have cried!

Hopefully there will be some treats I can pass on to her over the next few days.

notpostedforyears · 11/12/2018 15:02

ajandjjmum.....I've been lurking on this thread (and MN generally for years....I posted a bit about a decade ago under a different name and have lurked around since!).
I've been enjoying this calendar too and so far the only thing I know I won't be using is the nail varnish....very happy to send it to you for your . I think my profile will accept pm if you would like it?

notpostedforyears · 11/12/2018 15:03

...your daughter that should say

ajandjjmum · 11/12/2018 15:09

That is so sweet of you notposted, but I suspect the cost of sending it would not be far short of buying a replacement. I was just so cross with myself! We've probably talked before - I too have been around forever. Thank you for your offer though, I do appreciate it. Flowers

notpostedforyears · 11/12/2018 15:11

Your name did seem familiar (I used to be around SN boards mostly, but wandered out every now and then). No problem (it's a lovely colour but I'm a disaster with nail polish!)

GettingAwayWithIt · 11/12/2018 17:04

Been reading since the beginning of this thread and it's good to read other people's views of each of the products!

I treat myself to the calendar last year as I was pregnant and I thought it would be a nice treat each day for me. Absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to start this one!

So far I love the elasticiser, I've used it each time I've washed my hair (an embarrassingly low amount if times since I got it) - Ive done it when I've had 30-60 mins for a soak, put it on when I get in and wash it off at the end of my bath. My hair is improving each time I use it!
I've used the neck cream on my stomach. My neck doesn't quite need it yet but the skin on my stomach is a bit looser since having my baby. I'm applying twice a day and I might just be imagining it but it does seem to be doing a better job than Palmers cocoa butter did!
I love the nail polish and will be using it for a few nights out I have planned.
Mascara is always a winner with me!
I like the idea of the Wonder overnight recovery but it might just end up unused in the cupboard like the other Percy & Reed stuff from last year Blush

lazymare · 11/12/2018 17:36

I've been reading along too. This is the third year of the calendar for me. I really like the perfume this year, love elasticiser, love Nuxe, like the lip balm. Filogra is also a favourite of mine. So all is good. Preferred the gold nail polish from last year though.

Ineedahouse · 11/12/2018 18:31

If anyone has tried the percy and reed overnight hair treatment - if it 'disappears' would it be feasible to put it on in the morning and wear your hair up during the day and get away with it?

I dont mean like staying in the house but going out to shops or even to work?? Or would that be too greasy?

recovery18 · 11/12/2018 18:46
  1. The lip balm. Do we all have the same one? Mine is berry, and doesn't smell or taste menthol/mint at all. It has a vague, mild tingle and definitely hasn't had a negative impact on my lips. I am wondering if some of you have a mint lip balm and some of us have berry? Or some people's berry lip balm has the wrong product in it
  1. I used the P&R hair stuff last night. My hair is long thick and curly, like this photo (not me sadly) so it took the whole tube to coat it, some bits were probably still missed. My hair does look good today, but no, you couldn't go to work in it without washing it out.
  1. Love todays body cream. Fabulous smell and love Nuxe.
JessicaJonesJacket · 11/12/2018 18:47

Ineed it does disappear when you put it on. By morning, before washing it out, my hair felt as though I had left conditioner in but it wasn't visibly greasy so I doubt anyone would notice it if you put your hair up.

recovery18 · 11/12/2018 18:48

Sorry - forgot photo of my hair

JessicaJonesJacket · 11/12/2018 18:48

Oops cross-post with recovery . I guess it depends on your hair type.

recovery18 · 11/12/2018 18:51

Yes Jessica and probably on the extent to which you totally saturate your hair with it Xmas Grin

NewDayBlankPage · 11/12/2018 18:53

I tried the Percy and reed and it definitely didn’t disappear on me. I’m not sure if I put too much or what but my hair looked wet and greasy, even by morning.

NewDayBlankPage · 11/12/2018 18:54

Oops cross posted with everyone too Grin

YouWereRight · 11/12/2018 18:56

I spoke too soon about not wanting nuxe. Nevermind I'll give it to my sister and try to hint at the things she doesn't like in her soap & glory advent calendar.

Pinkgin50 · 11/12/2018 19:01

Just tried today's body cream, wasn't sure if I liked the smell of it, in the tube, this morning but now it's 'on' I think it's really nice. No problems with the lip balm, have been using it today at work and my lips feel very soft and moisturised

PrincessWatermelon · 11/12/2018 19:27

I've been ok with the lip balm too. And the night cream feels lovely and thick - not as much needed as other products.

I used the elastiziser on Sat night and hair looked good on Sunday. I have similar hair to the picture another posted put up! And then I washed again this morning with no treatment and it's still better than usual. So I certainly wouldn't 'waste' it on every wash as it had an effect after a second wash too.

Not sure what I think about the body cream. The smell is very strong and seems a bit "old lady-ish" to me. Forgive me if I'm not meant to say that! I'm only mid-30s! But I do regularly use body cream so will give it a go.

Nail varnish went on on Sat night and is definitely chipped today. Mind you, I'll probably leave it on tomorrow still! Love the colour.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 11/12/2018 19:49

Not even managed todays as my small person has been hell on earth. :/ Also I'm up the thread previously as redfragglebiker but due to an email cock up I had to completely re-register. If anyone wants the red nail polish btw and has something else to swap out then I'm happy to do it as I have 100s of polishes and not keen on this colour

Bottomofsmughill · 11/12/2018 20:50

Happy to swap the nail varnish with someone? I also have last year’s Blood Prange perfume if someone wants it? Only a few sprays used. I love the Prai neck cream, shower gel, Nuxe, last year’s rose oil and that Rosie tan stuff everyone else hated!

Ineedahouse · 11/12/2018 21:02

Ahh thanks newday and recovery! I normally wash my hair at night so might give it a go on Saturday before braving the shops!

HellenaHandbasket · 11/12/2018 21:06

I'd.love the spray Bottom? Welcome to the shower gel, neck cream (tried it once 🤔)... something else?

BollockingBaubles · 11/12/2018 22:48

@recovery18 my lipbalm is Berry and I had the tingling. id noticed it said to use after Lip plumping gels and assumed the tingling was the norm as those type of products usually do tingle and I thought this was part two of a two step treatment.

In the name of science husband put a bit on his lips tonight and def has no tingling. He's walking about bragging now, the twat!

Today my lips are tight and skin around mouth very red but at least they are healing now and not bleeding or cracking today.

Meh about todays. I forget to use body lotion ninety per cent of the time, have a full sized Soap and Glory one that I got in the big box last November that's still over three quarters is very strong and unlikely I'll use it so one to give away or swap.
