I've liked everything I've tried so far (I'm opening day by day). I really like today's perfume. I only opened it this evening so am going to try it for work tomorrow - we are going straight out after work so it will be interesting to see how it lasts. It's a handy handbag size so I can take it with me for a top up if I need it.

AtSea1979 · 05/12/2018 22:34

Love the perfume. Only opening my calendar in the evenings with the kids.
Tried the mascara today. Think it looked nice. Got a bit clumpy towards end of the day but haven’t found one that doesn’t.

AlannaOfTrebond · 05/12/2018 22:57

The perfume is really not for me.

The neck cream on the other hand - I had no faith at all, but a mildly crepey decolletage has disappeared! I'm definitely keeping this one up just in case it is a fluke.

I can't decide on the eye cream. I was positive for a day or so, but looked in the mirror tonight and swear I have more creases round my eyes than normal. However, I have had a ludicrous amount of stress this week, so it could be doing a great job, impossible to tell.

BeaLola · 05/12/2018 23:11

I think last year I got an ultrasound lip balm one day whereas colleague received a make up sponge applicator.

diamondsandrose · 06/12/2018 00:05

Loving reading everyone's thoughts

Happy with the perfume, love me a bit of 90's longevity

Here's a hug for the poster that was sad and needed one (( ))

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 06/12/2018 06:39

Oh dear. Filing today's under "not for me". Sad
I have recently started back on the Curly Girl method and this product has silicone in which is a definite no-no! Shame as it smells lush!
Nevermind, will keep for swaps or pass on

MeetOnTheSIedge · 06/12/2018 06:40

Morning, just opened up today's, another disappointment for me I'm afraid. I've tried this before, Philip Kingsley Elasticiser, it made not a jot of difference to my hair. It's a big tube though.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 06/12/2018 06:43

I try and avoid silicone too, but don't do the full Curly Girl no-poo thing.

AWHereWeCome · 06/12/2018 06:47

Hmm, first disappointment for me. I've tried elasticiser before and it didn't make any difference to my hair. Maybe I'll give it another go, or see if a friend would like it.

panicovernow · 06/12/2018 06:58

Not sure about today's offering. Will try and give it a go, though I doubt I'll get into using this regularly, looks like a bit of a faff to use.

zucchinieggplant · 06/12/2018 07:02

I'm pretty sure there was an elasticizer in the summer beauty box too. Unfortunately this is a product that requires time and planning - I usually have a very small window in which to grab a shower, sitting around with a bag on my head for 20 min in unlikely to happen!
It's a good size sample though and will go in my swap pile with the perfume and neck cream.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 06/12/2018 07:06

I just whack hair masks on when I get up at the weekend and walk round with my hair piled up on my head for half an hour before showering. I don't remember to do it more than once every few months though.

Sparkletastic · 06/12/2018 07:10

I just don't get Elasticizer. Seems like too much faff to get your hair wet then put a plastic cap on for 20 minutes. As to the suggestion to keep it on overnight - no thanks I'd get hypothermia in this weather! Loving the Prai cream. It's having a very beneficial impact. Mascara much better than last year's offerings and will be coming on holiday with me.

Awks · 06/12/2018 07:11

Boo hoo disappointed with this one. Still have the tube from the year before last.

panicovernow · 06/12/2018 07:13

I'm hoping for a nail polish in box 7 or 8! I seem to remember previous years getting some on a Friday or Saturday timed for Christmas parties 🥳

Minniemagoo · 06/12/2018 07:13

I wore the mascara yesterday for the day and am super impressed. I am not a regular wearer but when I do I usually get panda eyes by the end of the day and there were none. Will obvs try again.
I like the perfume, don't think it will become a favorite but a handy one to have in my bag.
The hair elastisiser will go to DD, I have short hair thats naturally very thick and other than the occasional bit of wax doesn't need any extra told. DD though will probably like it.

Luvacuppatea · 06/12/2018 07:27

Not sure I will bother with the elasticiser, as others have said, too much faff. The Prai cream is the star of the calendar for me so far.....

Butterymuffin · 06/12/2018 07:30

Also a bit meh with today's. I don't have time to mess around pre shower. My first disappointment though.

FlipFlapBat · 06/12/2018 07:34

Well today has been my favourite so far! It’s a product I’ve been wanting to try for ages and in fact asked DH to get it for me for Christmas! Very excited by it. If anyone has it in a swaps pile keep an eye out for a day I don’t like but you do like!

MeetOnTheSIedge · 06/12/2018 07:44

Just looked at the ingredients, I'd be fine with it from a Curly perspective as the silicone ingredient is lower down the list than perfume, so a very small amount and I'm not super-strict. However having tried it in the past it doesn't work for me at all.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 06/12/2018 07:46

Another not as happy bunny today. Like Sparkle it's too much of a faff for me. Loving the neck and décolletage cream it's beautiful and smells amazing.

SunnyUpNorth · 06/12/2018 07:49

I’m happy with today’s, I’ve used it before too and didn’t notice miraculous results. But I’ve tried some other hair masks since and what I’ve done is just dampen my hair before bed, slathered a load of the mask on and then tied it up in a top knot and slept with it on. Hair isn’t wet just vaguely damp enough to disperse the product. Then my hair is super silky when I wash it in the morning so will try the same method with this.

I’m also surprisingly loving the prai cream, I noticed my décolletage looking smoother today by chance and then remembered I’ve been using the cream. I love that it’s sometbing I would never have bought or tried full price. Is it pricey?

Pinkgin50 · 06/12/2018 07:55

Never tried an elasticizer before but I'll give it a go ! Very happy with the calendar so far

latedecember1963 · 06/12/2018 07:58

This is a good product for me. I put it on dry hair and let it soak in overnight. I don't use masses so it doesn't mess up my pillowcase.

Value today is £11.20 , bringing the running total to £53.91.

I'd quite like a nail polish next. I'm a bit wary of lip colours after last year's " Yootha Joyce" colour, although I know lots of people really liked it. I still repeat buy the Rosie for Autograph Super Model Smile lip colour from a couple of years ago.

fredleighton · 06/12/2018 08:22

I quite like elasticiser and this is a new fragrance I haven't tried before. I just put it on before getting in the bath. I don't bother with a shower cap and just leave it on while I have a soak.
