Just remembered I was on the M&S advent calendar thread last year so knew you'd all be here again.

Each year I have a look at other advent calendars but come back to this one for the range of interesting products that I would actually use and have actually purchased a few. Obviously I'd love the Liberty calendar but a bit out of my price range Grin. I very nearly splashed out on the JL one but was thankfully oos.

Am happy with the products so far-mascara & shower gel I'll save for when we go away; the eye cream doesn't irritate my eyes (always a bonus)

I loved the orange perfume last year but not massively keen on this on first sniff. Not sure yet whether I'll give it away (or swap)

Pinkgin50 · 05/12/2018 08:13

I'm interested after some saying it's quite heavy, I've got the worst cold at the moment and when I sprayed it on this morning, thought it was just right but am now hoping I don't spray too much because if I can smell it (and I can't smell a lot else at the moment) I may subject anyone close to me today to scent overload!

MeetOnTheSIedge · 05/12/2018 08:15

Yes, you should not be able to smell someone's fragrance unless you are within an arm's length of them, less is more. I dread being stuck next to someone wearing heavy fragrance at a meal or in a theatre.

karala · 05/12/2018 08:15

I hate the perfume - it's too heavy for my taste.

Butterymuffin · 05/12/2018 08:18

I haven't tried it yet but I have a sneaking regard for a heavier perfume. (Wore Poison in the 80s Grin)

recovery18 · 05/12/2018 08:19

I must have a duff perfume as I can hardly smell it at all. Very disappointed as I loved loved loved the Belladonna Shay and Blue from 2 years ago and the Blood Orange was OK.

What a shame Sad

MysweetAudrina · 05/12/2018 08:21

I like the perfume but I like heavier musky scents. I sprayed a small bit on me this morning around 6.30 and the lingering scent is quite nice.

Luvacuppatea · 05/12/2018 08:27

I’m not too sure about the perfume. Loved the blood orange last year. Maybe this will grow on me.....

adaisy1394 · 05/12/2018 08:37

I love the perfume actually and I'm very impressed with the eye cream also, been using it since I got it and this morning really noticed how much better my eyes looked!

mammmamia · 05/12/2018 08:46

Really pleased so far with this calendar, I’ve never had one before so I’m loving it. But the perfume is vile Envy

Awks · 05/12/2018 08:54

Found you! Quite like today's perfume but it's different to what I normally wear. Shaking it up makes me feel fierce of a morning now, though Smile

Isitmybathtimeyet · 05/12/2018 08:57

The squirt on my wrist has lasted through a shower! You can only smell it if you smell my wrist IYSWIM. Despite being mostly a fan of fresh sort of perfumes mostly, I rather like it, but wouldn't want a lot of it on.

PartTimePunk · 05/12/2018 09:06

The perfume is the only dud for me so far. On my skin it smells somewhere on the spectrum between cats pee and toilet cleaner. Confused

Penguins1 · 05/12/2018 09:12

A perfume! Yay! The packaging looks luxurious and the bottle is handbag friendly and elegant! I sprayed some on and thought it's pretty okay and nice! So then put a but more on and I'm going to 'wear it today! Happy bunny here too!!

Haworthia · 05/12/2018 09:20

I hated the Blood Orange fragrance last year! I love orange perfumes and I love unisex perfumes, but that one had a really strong, acrid note like burnt rubber that I couldn’t stand. Gave it to my husband and it smelled better on him.

Today’s is... OK. No burnt rubber at least.

CantChoose · 05/12/2018 09:20

I like the perfume, but I quite like a heavier perfume in moderation. Fresh scents seem to only last an hour or so on my skin.
I think it's a really nice size too - handbag friendly but not too small and fiddly.
I liked the orange too last year, I'd forgotten about it but have been using it the last few days after being reminded by this thread :)

SomethingAboutNothing · 05/12/2018 09:37

I like the perfume today, not a scent I would pick myself usually but am quite enjoying wearing it. It is quite strong though, I can still smell it a lot. Much better than last year's that I regifted.

fredleighton · 05/12/2018 09:56

I'm pleased with the perfume. I quite like it although I wouldn't buy it again. I didn't like last year's and gave it away so this is a bonus

Stokey · 05/12/2018 10:04

Hi M&S openers, following the thread and like Fedup almost bought a different one this year. I'm slightly regretting not going all out got the Fenwick's one, bit need to remind myself it was five times the price

So far, a little meh for me. I rarely use mascara so still have both last year's ones, eye cream is great but the neck cream does feel like an extra faff. Trying to work out what today's perfume reminds me of, it's sweeter than what I usually go for but don't hate it. Maybe it's Britney's Fantasy or sweeter version of Coromandel? PPs who can't smell it, I've got a cold and it's still really strong. Maybe you got a duff batch? I don't think I liked last year's perfume but positive comments here are making me think I should retry.

From last year's, I rebought the Korres cream & moringa cleanser.

Chrysanthemum5 · 05/12/2018 10:11

This is my first disappointment- I really don't like the smell. Like a previous poster I get migraines and thus is the type os scent that sets those off. However it is beautifully packaged so will make a nice little gift for someone (or a tombola stall prize Grin)

Flightywoman · 05/12/2018 10:16

Not a scent I like at all, but I've got my sister scent for Christmas so this will be a nice extra for her - she was after a few samples of new things to try!

SlowNorris · 05/12/2018 10:18

A few of you have said you purchased the Korres cream, which one is it please?

I like the perfume but enjoy wearing my usual one too much to switch. Might use it as a room spray - just one spritz mind.

Isitmybathtimeyet · 05/12/2018 10:58

I think it was the Korres Rose night cream. Lovely smell.

SlowNorris · 05/12/2018 11:03

Thank you. I love rose so hoping we get it in the calendar this year.

Haworthia · 05/12/2018 11:32

It’s worth £25
