Hello everyone :) Not been on for a few days. Have been really busy at school and at home. I usually put up my tree on the first weekend of December but its still lying there in the box. So glad its my days off now. @Laska, hope everything has been ok for you. When is the funeral? Sorry, I haven't really read back. I would love to see your coat on. Have you worn it yet? As for me, haven't really been buying anything atm. I keep thinking about the sales which will undoubtedly be in a few weeks time.@Ella, love the jacket. Looks great on you. Love the vest too :)

NotAnActualSheep · 05/12/2018 18:37

D7I4 (or possibly D714) may give 30% off Boden too.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 18:38

@cherries - see you haven't been on for a while. Hope you are just busy.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 18:46

I have been feeling a bit anxious about things of late. My ds is coming over to stay with their baby and I haven't even started to think about what things they may need for their stay. Between that and thinking about xmas, its not been very relaxing, I can say.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 18:48

It all keeps whirring round my mind :(

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2018 18:50

Oh never its seems we have all been having stressful times. How old is your grandchild? I also hope things are ok with cherries

Ellapaella · 05/12/2018 18:51

@neveradullmoment99 me too, two of my two boys have birthdays this week, this weekend just gone we had a huge party that I organised for family and friends and with Christmas coming I feel I've been living off adrenaline for the last few weeks.
I'm full of cold now which I think is because I've allowed myself to relax a bit after the party. At least it's before Christmas I suppose.
I'm not really complaining, I love this time of year but we always have such a busy December I barely have time to stop.
Where is your ds travelling from?

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2018 18:54

Funeral is Monday never

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 18:54

They live in Norway. They have come to stay before prior to the baby. He is 8 months old. They don't want to be carrying lots of things so want to get a few things off gumtree as I don't really have any baby things but I really don't want to be spending £££ either.

Ellapaella · 05/12/2018 18:54

Two of my three boys that should say!

Ellapaella · 05/12/2018 18:56

Ah yes Never - maybe a charity shop? It's a shame I don't have any baby stuff left myself - I just gave a load of stuff away to a charity shop just a couple of weeks ago, I could have sent it up to you!
Maybe just a travel cot and actually IKEA do the best high chair which is cheap as chips and so easy to put up and down and clean, I'll see if I can find a link for you.

Ellapaella · 05/12/2018 18:58

here
Brilliant high chair, so cheap and is actually suitable from about 5 months, I had one of these for my youngest two and it was brilliant.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 19:00

My MIL was saying about the highchair. Thanks for that @ella :)

Ah..@Laska. How are you bearing up? How is your family? You seem remarkably strong tbh.

I went by to visit my mum today. I feel so sad. She is becoming increasingly forgetful.. I hate this about life. Death is so cruel. I find it hard to accept but I guess we all do.

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2018 19:07

never , Im ok sometimes and struggling others Tbh (but its a process I know)..

I have lots of useful baby things for DGCs , but sadly I am about as far away from you as can be..otherwise would happily lend them . I bought a travel cot and a car seat from other grans whose DGCs had outgrown them , mainly through our work webpage.. Maybe try your local classifieds?

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2018 19:12

Never sorry to hear you are feeling anxious, it’s a horrible feeling if you get a few things sorted for when Ds/dgs comes maybe make you feel a bit better, if only you were a bit nearer to London I have loads of equipment here that dgd has grown out off, yy the Ikea highchair also have a look at Aldi online I got a travel got from them it’s brilliant.
Ella sounds very stressful & busy, hope the cold goes quickly.

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2018 19:15

Never so sorry your Mum is struggling, it’s so hard yy very difficult to accept 💐

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 19:17

Thanks everyone. I will look at aldi online. Didn't even know they did online.

@Laska, I remember when my gran died I kind of threw myself into organising things. It kept me sane and busy. It is a process and I suppose its all about coping day to day x

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2018 19:20

Never sorry wittering on now, but I think the main things would be a highchair, travel cot & bouncy chair type of thing I git one from John Lewis which they fit in for ages, my dgd is just over 2.5 & still fits it was JL own brand one so not silly price, I can take a pic if that helps.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 19:28

Thanks @melen. I will have a little look on the JL website too :) Glad I said!!

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2018 19:32

thats good, what is the saying “A trouble shared is a trouble halved” something like that I think.

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2018 19:36

Never DGS mum had a sort of sling which fitted over an ordinary chair which she used as a travel high chair like this one

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2018 19:40

and we had a bouncy chair like this one

Laska2Meryls · 05/12/2018 19:44

[[https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5588699 This looks like a good travel cot as it has a bassinet]] [[https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7065165 but we had one like this and it was fine]]

neveradullmoment99 · 05/12/2018 19:49

That's great. I remember having a plastic one that did a similar thing. Tbh, that would probably be better than a highchair as it would take up less room.

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2018 19:53

Dd had similar for when she was visiting various friends etc, very handy & as you say Never don’t take up lots of room.
