Monk meryl when its just over the head. Is that not ghoul meryl?

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 19:06

Oh and @Dave, I love that dress btw. It looked fantastic on Ella and looks just as beautiful on you. A real winner.

Laska2Meryls · 29/11/2018 19:07

Could be.. I was thinking of Monks Cowls (pink ones in this case !! ) Grin

SoyYo · 29/11/2018 19:07

I vote for all Meryl owners to post pics on styling in the most bizarre fashion! Grin

SoyYo · 29/11/2018 19:09

It IS a beautiful jumper and now we can imagine all the styling possibilities...

dontcallmelen · 29/11/2018 19:11

Pic of it hanging up will try on tomorrow, I have a nice pair of black wide leg trousers & also a plain black fitted shift dress, which it could look ok with possibly

Very very pretty melen it’s also unusual for a sequin jacket (in a good way) I think you’ll float about in sparkly fabulousness in it 😍

dontcallmelen · 29/11/2018 19:15

I was thinking i could waft about in it, whilst hoovering cheer me up no end.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 19:20

Lovely top. I do love a bit of sparkle @melen.
@Laska, that metallic skirt is gorgeous. It looks fabulous with that cashmere boatneck. That jumper has been so versatile.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 19:24

I have bought my youngest dd a sequin dress [reverse sequin from pink gold to silver] out of asda. Reliving my youth here. I remember seeing someone at a birthday party when I was in my twenties wearing something similar and she looked so amazing in it. I have never had the occasion for such a head to toe dress so I am channeling it through my dd,

ilovecherries · 29/11/2018 19:31

Soups, I thought the multi stripe one really suited you. You looked most elegant and svelte in it.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 29/11/2018 19:32

Oh Len that’s amazing. You need it. We may all need it!

ilovecherries · 29/11/2018 19:35

My plan was to head back to England home straight after my meeting, but knackered so going back to Scotland home now. Will go back to Glasgow to do some Xmas shopping tomorrow and since I’m half way there now go to Aberdeen for Sat into Sunday to see mum and dad. Senior railcard is a wonderful thing :)

Laska2Meryls · 29/11/2018 19:42

Havent you got to be 65 for senior railcard cherries? or is it one of those things that yuo in progressive Scotland have that our eff'ing mean b'std govt here dont let us have

dontcallmelen · 29/11/2018 19:43

never I do the same with dgd I bought her a beautiful tutu skirt in pale grey with silvery/pink sparkly/sequins all over it, totally impractical but couldn’t resist.
cherries my Dh says the same thing, saves shedloads of money enjoy the shopping & trip to see dparents.
Porpoise 😀 I’m talking myself into keeping more & more.

Laska2Meryls · 29/11/2018 19:43

effin mean bstd backward looking racist evil minded bash anyone who hasn't got a trust fund govt I mean

ilovecherries · 29/11/2018 19:46

Never, you look totally gorgeous. So is that cashmere a keeper?

Laska, love, love, love the coat. It’s very classy for formal wear (by what you’ve said about your mum, she would have loved it) and it also has the potential to be a bit bad ass. Great bargain on the skirt.

Can’t remember who was wearing the twiggy jumper but it def encapsulates a perfect winter holiday. Ski lodge sadly not included.

Len, that jacket is so pretty, can’t wait to see it on.

Laska2Meryls · 29/11/2018 19:46

Blimey I can! .. I keep also forgetting i can get a cheaper foot passenger ferry ..

ilovecherries · 29/11/2018 19:50

I agree re government, not sure if it’s a Scottish thing or a UK one, I certainly use it in England. In a flush of unusual positivity I bought a three year one on my 60th birthday. £60 for the three years and I reckon it had paid for itself in about a month. It’s a third off fares, not free, though Also get free bus travel, but that’s in Scotland only.

ilovecherries · 29/11/2018 19:54

I was all chuffed today though as ticket inspector asked for photo ID as he didn’t believe it was my card (the card oddly doesn’t have a photo on it). Then he said ‘blimey hen, you don’t look 60’.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 19:55

Not wanting to get too political but totally agree.

cherries what a lovely thing to say - thank you so much. Yes, I wore it today - nibbles and all. Bit worried the nibbles grow into mouthfuls though but I suppose it has a charm to it. My mum said it was a lovely colour and I had a pair of earings from next [small gem ones that are a kind of rose gold tint to the fake jewel that really matched the ginger brown]

To whoever asked me [cant remember - brainfog] I was wearing my dm's with my leather leggings.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 19:57

Honestly though, they are the comfiest thing ever the leggings. I may save and purchase a second pair at some point - maybe in the sales although they are so expensive and I am not sure they ever reduce them tbh. I may purchase for the spring in the gorgeous grey or dark green.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 19:58

@cherries - you do not look 60. You look fab. What about the jumper? Still debating?

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 20:00

I fear the burgundy ones make me look like raw sausages!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 20:01

..and a bit peed of in the playground when a kid ran behind me in the muck and splashed them :( Never mind. Nothing a wet cloth couldn't solve.
