I am curious about why the author decided to refer to Kate as an "English Rose" in the sentence contrasting her with Meghan.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 15:15

Yes, it's a mystery isn't it @SenecaFalls? Wait, is that a dog whistle I hear...

Nothing new about reports of "feuds" - the media have thrived on them for years, though given some of their "silly stories" which have later proved to be true I wouldn't want to assume what's actually true any more

It seems reasonable to say Kate and Meghan are "very different women" though, and that alone will give plenty of scope for anyone who wants to cover their expenses with a quick bit of invention

Pupsiecola · 27/11/2018 15:30

I started that skincare thread Andals :-) It's fabulous!

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 15:43

@Pupsiecola Are you also botemp then??

No. Lol. She's a total guru. I started the very first thread which the question "I want to cut through the marketing BS. What actual ingredients should I be looking for.

queenofarles · 27/11/2018 16:00

From what I gathered, it's just bits and pieces glued together to bring up again the
Line PH said to the staff "what Meghan wants , gets" , it's been a whole week without it being mentioned, and in case it hasn't caught on yet.

Someone I follow on Insta, mentioned how the dress tag incident was actually intentional, and now these stories are being leaked by someone close to the couple. TBH i don't think they are not entirely untrue, but someone is exaggerating all these squabbles out of proportion to paint her in a really bad light. I'm not a fan of M but I really think it's unfair, it's in every news outlet.

Harry’s been busy in Zambia
Poor bloke; no ones even noticed!

Seen this on a Facebook group. Meghan’s writing is beautiful, but a bit flowery for a little note!

ElspethFlashman · 27/11/2018 16:20

That's not her writing, that's a printed promotion on behalf of birchbox who she was obviously sponsored by at that point.

PawneeParksDept · 27/11/2018 16:23

Surely Highgrove will follow to William along with all Prince Of Wales properties?

Hasn't Charles been planting trees for George there it will be his one day @CurlyWurlyTwirly

ajandjjmum · 27/11/2018 16:28

Didn't Meghan used to earn money doing calligraphy when she didn't have an acting job?

beanaseireann · 27/11/2018 16:32

Very flowery writing- a bit 'fake'.

I have to say it's not nice the media constantly saying Meghan and Kate have fallen out.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 16:36

The reason it looks fake is because it's not her handwriting! Like @ElspethFlashman said, it's a Birchbox promotion. Her real handwriting is less flowery.

OP posts:
CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 18:41

It is her handwriting; but it has changed since she got married. She did earn money as a calligrapher. It's well documented.

Twisique · 27/11/2018 18:42

Has it been confirmed that William will become the Prince of Wales? Its not an automatic thing.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 18:43

My "Together" cookbook has arrived. The recipes look delicious. I will easily make a good 3/4 of them

@PawneeParksDepartment

I think that wood was planted in Scotland.
Well William has Anmer and will also get Sandringham when he is King (as will Charles)
It would only seem fair that Harry got HighGrove

SenecaFalls · 27/11/2018 18:51

It's hard to imagine a scenario in which Charles as king would not make William Prince of Wales.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 18:52

Agreed, the PoW title has to be conferred, but I think it is assumed William will be invested.
(Same as I hope Charlotte becomes a future Princess Royal).

Just out of interest. What happens to the Cambridge titles when William becomes PoW? He will also become Duke of Cornwall. Do George, Charlotte & Louis become Waleses?

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 19:07

They will become Waleses. Maybe George will get the Cambridge title. If HM lives as long as her mum then he'll be a teenager by the time Charles becomes king.

Curly I have the cookbook on my Christmas list - I'm a big fan of Middle Eastern food so it looks great.

The Meghan smear campaign is getting a bit ridiculous and OTT - it must be very upsetting for H&M to read. Harry seems to be enjoying himself in Zambia - the commonwealth young leaders project sounds a lovely thing to be involved with and right up their street

Twisique · 27/11/2018 19:24

Thanks everyone. It will feel weird calling the DofC Prince of Wales after all these years! I wondered if they would wait and give it to George when he is old enough as he will probably have to wait a long time for the top job like Charles is.
