@Puzzledandpissedoff Yes he did, as Philip's grandmother was the Tsarina's sister.

Am also intrigued as to what KateBurbidg said as I don't think we've ever had a deletion on these threads before!

I think the Kent’s paid a ‘peppercorn’ rent, and it was pointed out that they should pay a realistic rent, or it would be counted as income and taxable or something, v. woolly memory.

£90,000 pa isn’t really a lot for a property of that size and the estate. Probably get some of it back anyway. If they purchased their own properties they wouldn’t be Crown properties so the upkeep and maintenance wold be at their own expense.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 13:45

@queenofarles Wasn't that the Michaels of Kent?

The DM are reporting that Kate was left in tears at the fitting for Charlotte’s brdesmaid’s dress. This is so random that one has to wonder about the source. It’s getting constant now.

Ktay · 27/11/2018 13:48

I thought that too @QueenoftheAndals

queenofarles · 27/11/2018 13:56

you are right queen prince Michael of Kent

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 13:57

FGS, maybe she was in tears at how sweet Charlotte looked rather than because Meghan was nasty to her. This smear campaign is getting ridiculous.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 14:01

It's the Telegraph who've broken the tears story but nowhere does it say why. What mother of a newborn isn't a bit tearful?

OP posts:
queenofarles · 27/11/2018 14:02

its a click bait, they mentioned kate being a bit emotional eventually ,

user1457017537 · 27/11/2018 14:12

But why are the Telegraph and the mail having a smear campaign. What has changed. It is daily now

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/11/2018 14:16

Ktay I think both of our links might have been for the same job?

Philip's grandmother was the Tsarina's sister

Yes, that's it ... as I said, I get thoroughly confused with who's related to who, given that the european royals seemed to be one big marriage-go-round back then (though less so these days perhaps)

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 14:21

@user1457017537 I wouldn't be surprised if Meghan or Harry stood up to one of the "grey men" at the Palace and this is his revenge.

Puzzled I think the one I posted is different (private secretary; still accepting applications)?

Alwayscheerful · 27/11/2018 14:27

There is a word of a difference between Frogmore Cottage and Bagshot Park for example, do you think Megan is happy with their allocated residence?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 14:30

@Puzzledandpissedoff

I think the Romanov look is very Tsar Nicholas / George V
I'm not too up on all the old Royal houses, but there is a lot os Saxe Coburg Gotha (Prince Albert's crew) sprinkled in with the European Royals

Alwayscheerful · 27/11/2018 14:32

World of a difference!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 14:32

I'm putting my money on them getting Frogmore House; then High Grove.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/11/2018 14:33

I think the one I posted is different (private secretary; still accepting applications)?

Ah ... in that case, my only regret is that my shorthand isn't up to it Wink

Neither is my willingness to bow and scrape

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 14:38

There is still an opening for a Private Secretary for the Wessexes

Maybe its a cover for one for the Sussexes instead.... Hmm

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 27/11/2018 14:45

That Kate-in-tears article is just bizarre.

The way it’s been written implies it’s something to do with Meghan simply because there’s so many details left out. When in reality it’s probably a case of “Very emotional, post partum Mum gets tearful at seeing only daughter looking grown-up at a dress fitting.”

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/11/2018 14:47

A "feud" between Kate & Meghan is news everywhere.
Its getting ridiculous!

I need some skin care advice, can anyone recommend a thread as someone has mentioned there is a good one. Thank you.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/11/2018 15:00

I think this is the long running skincare thread that everyone raves about: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/3391400--Fantastic-Skincare-Were-So-Drunk-Were-Seeing-Elephants

And now back to royal stuff!
