I think B should run a mile.
Too many red flags.
I hope she is getting good advice.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/11/2018 16:32

She's 30 years old though, I'm sure she's got her eyes open.

The Ralph Lauren connection explains why Meghan keeps wearing club Monaco (RL diffusion brand).
I wish Meghan would be more supportive of UK brands.
She’s no longer a celebrity, she really needs to stop being so affiliated with brands such as Soho House ( Amsterdam opening party; living on Great Tew estate).
Wearing Ralph Lauren, Dior, Carolina Herrera.
She needs to start wearing high street and be photographed in the Windsor branch of Waitrose.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/11/2018 16:36

Beatrice is at streetwise as a 16 year old. The Italian aristo saw her coming.

Bloominglovely · 25/11/2018 16:44

I have only read a little about Bea’s new boyfriend but I did read that the families know each other for years. I guess they are all very aware of the ins and outs. And she has only been dating him since Sept for goodness sake. I can’t believe they would even have defined themselves as boyfriend and girlfriend after less than three months?!?!

AdaColeman · 25/11/2018 16:50

Bea's new bloke is a multi millionaire, so that should cheer Andy up, but his child is called Wolfie, so that's a no from me! Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/11/2018 17:01

There's no need for her to turn into a Kate clone!

I can't get too worked up about Meghan wearing foreign brands - given the choice between Givenchy and Stella McCartney, I know which one I'd choose! She has worn more British brands recently though, I guess she likes to mix things up.

As for Beatrice, I think the talk of marriage is all media hype. She's only just started seeing this guy so it's very early days. She's known him for a long time though, so I imagine she knows all about what happened with his ex. Which is more than the tabloids know, that's for sure!

Rania's been on the fillers again. I don't know why as she's a beautiful woman and was ageing perfectly well. Her daughters don't look anything like her though - they're all Abdullah!

They do look like the king! It's nice and it makes a change to see a princess with an army commission. Doubly so in a traditional and Conservative country. Well done to her! Love Rania's coat.

thatone · 25/11/2018 17:28

Yes Rania is stunning and would be more so without the fillers.

user1457017537 · 25/11/2018 17:45

Prince Harry has been spotted grocery shopping and in TK Maxx. I don’t think Megan needs to start trawling the aisles of Waitrose wearing Boden. If it’s not her thing why should she.

Paradyning · 25/11/2018 17:54

I love Rania's trendy piercings!
The little sister is stunning. Not heard of her before.

itswinetime · 25/11/2018 17:56

Meghan and Kate had very different life's growing up I'm sure that means as adults they have different interests and personalities now I have no idea if they are friends or not but the idea that people who marry brothers have to be BFFS baffles me I'd like to know how many of those journalists are best buds with their partners families partners it's honestly absurd.

As for what Meghan wears yes it needs to be fitted better and If (and what a big if) there are freebies being accepted and then sold back to the tax payer that absolutely needs to be looked into and dealt. But I don't think she only has to wear Brit's designers or high streets as a) she is a representative of the common wealth and so should showcase talent from all around and b) surely it's a bit of give and old school diplomacy if the British royal family only wore British designers what's to stop others following suit and the end result could be a lose for the economy.

Has Beatrice actually confirmed this man is her boyfriend I haven't read all the articles on him but I haven't seen anything official in the ones I have

ajandjjmum · 25/11/2018 18:09

I remember seeing photos of Meghan coming from Wholefood (?) on Kensington High Street when she first starting visiting Harry.

I'm sure they are very different women, but have to rub along together. Hope they make a joint appearance somewhere low-key soon, to stop the gossip.

PawneeParksDept · 25/11/2018 18:14

Realistically how many people are BFF with their SIL?

Paradyning · 25/11/2018 18:23

Not I

IcedPurple · 25/11/2018 18:25

If MM ever decided to leave and return to the US, she would - at least for a while - be offered the kind of money to "tell all" which could mean she'd never have to work again

I would expect that any royal divorce settlement would include a water-tight NDA.

ElspethFlashman · 25/11/2018 18:28

Oh yeah the Whole Foods pic. She was unfortunately wearing a Barbour coat and Hunter wellies and people just guffawed. I remember one commentator on the DM saying something like "Glad she's come prepared for the hazardous conditions of Ken High Street" Grin

IcedPurple · 25/11/2018 18:32

In reality she was probably making $30-40k per episode, so over an 8 year period she made about $3.5m gross

She was part of an ensemble cast on a middle cable TV show.

It's highly unlikely she was making anything like that much. Certainly not at the start of the show when she was entirely unknown.

Trying to make out that she regularly walked the red carpet and made oodles of money is such a stretch it's laughable and I actually feel sorry for her that she is being set up.

Isn't she trying to set herself up that way though? Inviting almost no personal friends to her wedding while having the Clooneys there? No way they'd have attended her wedding had she married a set designer from 'Suits'.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 25/11/2018 18:42

Love that video of the Kent wedding CurlyWurlyTwirly. The cheers when the bride arrived were surprisingly moving. Loved Lady Mountbatten's outfit - very Sarah Chatto!

Ktay · 25/11/2018 18:43

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, couldn’t see it on a skim read. Today’s Stella in the Sunday Telegraph has 11 (largely extremely positive) pages on Meghan’s ‘royal year of style’ ending with this statistical analysis of her outfits...

Once she has a child that kind of means she has to stay in the UK no matter what though, doesn't it? Legally speaking she wouldn't be permitted to up sticks and head back to America.

That's my understanding too. Any child in the direct line of the monarch is the 'property' of the crown. Diana had to go to court to get 50-50 custody of her sons because it was the absolute maximum she could legally get as the boys 'belonged' to the crown.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 25/11/2018 18:47

So would I, but as said upthread I don't know if an NDA would cover someone living abroad since I didn't think one country's laws could be used to bind another's?

Again, I'm not thinking just of Meghan here - it's the principle I'm interested in

IcedPurple · 25/11/2018 18:49

Possibly not, but as we've been discussing, it would be very difficult for her to live permanently in the US once she has a child, as that child will likely be legally required to be educated in the UK. I'm open to correction on this however.
